Thx for the videos. I had so many Epic8 questions that your videos have answered. So flight attendant is a full system using data from the fork, shock. And power meter Crankset. Does the reverb axs dropper have anything to do with the FA system? Just wondering because if not it would make sense to run a cable actuated dropper like a fox transfer SL and save some significant weight/$$ over the reverb axs
Rockshox has been asked that question a few times and their engineers dodge the question every time or say something to the effect of, "that's proprietary information." If I was designing the system I absolutely would use whether the dropper was up or down to influence the bias. Dropper down, more likely to unlock. I haven't specifically tested that scenario to see if I can tell a difference. Transfer SL definitely would save weight. Check out a video that my buddy Josh and I did on the channel "Low Angle Adventures." He runs a Transfer SL on his Epic 7 EVO and his bike is definitely lighter than mine.
I ride an xl epic evo 7 and thinking of upgrading to the Epic 8. do you think I could ride the epic 8 in a large at 6'2"? was thinking of going down a size for a more nimble and lighter bike.
Tough call. I fall right on the line between M and L on almost all sizing charts and always feel more comfortable on a Large. That said, my friend and I just filmed a comparison video between the Epic 7 Evo and the Epic 8. I came away really impressed with his bike. Watch the channel Low Angle Adventures. I'm not sure when he'll get the editing done.
Dude, thanks for sharing. I’m coming off a 2019 Anthem Advanced Pro with three position squid lock remote, a 120mm 34 stepcast with a slacker headset upgrade. I just bought the frame/fork setup like you did. Is flight attendant really worth it? Seems like three position is nice, but cost wise to upgrade seems crazy. How much did you spend buying the flight attendant?
If you want to save money the fork can be upgraded for $650. Shock is $850. So you can move to FA for $1500. Sell your existing shock for around $250 and your upgrade cost is $1250ish.
@@mwssspI had a 2016 Anthem Advanced 0 with Rockshox RS-1 fork with a 120mm kit. Two position front and rear. Rode it until 2021. Bought the Epic 7 Pro Feb of 2021.
@@Highway_95 that 2018 Anthem was a game changer over the older one imo. Either way excited for this build. Seems like I’ll be happy with the lockout or flight attendant. You still loving the flight attendant? Heard others saying it sometimes has issues?
@@svtrader False. Neo is advertised on Fox website as an all-mountain shock. All-mountain. Shock. All-mountain. Shock… Flight Attendant is a full system including fork, shock and power meter/cadence sensor. Fox is working on XC system, that includes fork lockout.
Great videos man!
Thank you.

I haven't had any issues yet. I think that it's really good. Necessary, maybe not, but really good.
You know you don’t lose watts or speed when you have bobbing in your pedalling. It feels faster but it’s not
How did you measure that?
Stil i love the epic 7 ! The epic 8...the only good is the sworks.
Epic 7 is by far better than Epic 8 iwich is just a new version of Epic Evo (wich is a good bike but not as fast as epic 7)
It seems like Flight Attendant has no advantage over Fox Neo.
Fox Neo is for trail/DH, FA is used for XC but also in trail/DH
@@funLad80 False. Neo is advertised for trail, but perfectly doable for XC.

fox neo is working only on the shock...
