i feel like this says more about the rider than the bike itself... a good rider will be fast no matter what hes on... RIDE fast and ride hard!! great job !!
Those trails sooo smoooth. Doing something similar on a single bike but in much different terrain. One bike, Pemberton Enduro, Whistler Back40 marathon xc, and Psychosis DH in Golden. I think those three courses are polar opposite to SeaOtter. A 170/160 travel bike with the only changes being tires.
Yes!!!! That sounds so fun! And yeah i chose the epic evo because of the trails. They don’t require a massive bike for it so i thought, i might as well give it a go! Have fun and good luck.
Did you switch the flipchip? I'm always surprised how much of a difference it makes on my Stumpjumper. In the Mountains in the low and on more "XC" trails in the High. Cheers from Switzerland
@@Spencerrathkamp Ive had 3 mtbs since 2019 and the closest to perfect was the 2021 epic evo. I wanted a bit more travel and the swat storage. Had a 2019 stumpy and it was like a monster truck. Didn't love pedaling. Went to the epic evo then sold during the pandemic and made up all of my cost lol. Currently have stumpy evo with lighter wheels in the upright shock position and it rides better than the previous stumpy. I think epic evo is it. I can't keep buying and selling bikes!

Haha that’s totally fair! Thanks so much
@@Spencerrathkamp it was nice seeing you at the mtb club ride
Love this so much! Racing
an enduro on the Epic 8 Evo in Nevada next week, thing absolutely rips! Keep up the great work, brother!
Thanks so much! It’s such a good bike. Good luck this weekend!
Yep, that's why the epic 8 evo is on the top of my list for my next bike. Fast, fun bike that can do anything.
That’s right!

A 160mm bike would suck for the Back 40. I’d want a really capable 130/140 like the Druid.
Stoked to see how it all turned out man!!
Thanks brotha!
Sick video spencer, cant believe the santa cruz kid that didn't let you overtake on the downhill.
Thanks dude! And haha he could climb faster than me, so he thought he could descend faster too! Haha
Which one would you pick between the stumpjumper 15 and the epic evo? For an all around bike to do everything from xc to enduro?
Did you switch the flipchip?

This is a good question! No i did not. I left it in the high mode for everything actually!
This is awesome. Please do more! Show the tires next time, if you can.
Absolutely! 🫡
What an effort! Good on Ya!
Thanks!
I think finally this is the perfect bike for everything I want to do
It’s my daily driver! I’ve ridden it most days since i got it!

@@kentao4 i get ya! This thing is pretty dang capable and still climbs like a xc bike
I was about to say “wasted talent” but went a checked and noticed you do complete, talent used wisely
Haaha what would have been wasted?
At sea otter everything is a dual slalom course, some are longer than others, some have stages, but they’re all dual slalom
Hahah kinda
would you mind saying what pants and shoes you're wearing?
I’m wearing the specialized DH pants and the 2fo dh shoes!
Great job 👏🏽
Thank you brother!
what is that SIZE please,
tnx.
Large! And I’m 6ft tall
Yew!
audio bad
Haha what?!
i'm sorry, but that's not enduro or downhill - those are green/blue trails lol which can be ridden on a hardtail
stocked for your experience tho
That’s why we rode that bike!
