  • The conventional interpretation of Buddha's Four Noble Truths, and the 8-Fold Way, is of practices that will eventually lead to liberation. NonDualism says that liberation is available here and now when we completely let go of egoic thinking. From this perspective the "way" is the way liberation unfolds as a result. I have found this approach, albeit unconventional, has been very helpful in my own journey.
This is third session in the Mindfulness of Being online talks.

Thank you Peter for sharing your thoughts and your clarity of understanding. I’ve been following you for years on Science and Nonduality and your spiritual and scientific approach to consciousness has led me and many others I’m sure to a far greater understanding of the meaning of Brahman, Atman and exploration of the Vedas. It is so good to see you looking well and healthy. Your wisdom is greatly appreciated.

What's a universe made of? A universe is made of what it contains, therefore everything in the universe makes up the universe. Just like every part of the apple tree is contained in its seed, the fruit rots and the seed continue to grow and begin its process of being a tree, the only way to be the tree is to be the seed and no the fruit/shell.
Now people tend to think they are the body and not the seed of consciousness within. People want to be like this superstar, this rock star, this movie star and so on. If you look at the world you can see its going in such a way it pulls your attention away from the seed and to the body.
The fruit/shell rots and then the seed grows and becomes a tree its the only way a tree can manifest and then produce its own fruit.
Humans tend to go the same way, If you believe you are your body you will rot like the fruit and the rotting feads the tree it fell from.
Some humans know that they are the seed and not the body, They have a body and the body is just a container for consciousness, The seed in the body is consciousness and when the body rots (when you die) if you believe you are the body you will return to the same tree. But if you know you are the seed within which is consciousness then you become your own tree. your own creation of reality, just like now you are living in someone else's reality.
A Apple Tree - Apples - Seeds, the only way to be a tree from this one tree is become an apple and then when you are the apple you need to know you are not the fruit but the seed within. The fruit will rot, and the seed will become a tree of its own.
I hope you understand. and Happy Awakening.

Thank you so much. I learned a lot from this talk and it's very encouraging to hear someone with a lot more experience say so much that confirms the ideas I already had on this subject. On moments like this, the Way is a reward in itself, if not always.

Easy to be spiritual if you sit in a cave, on a mountain or set yourself away from everyone else.
