23:42 "We never want to be playing ruler chicken..." 😅 So true, Ms Kate. Now if I can just remember that while *I'm* stitching! Thanks for the reminders, and for your videos.
I’ve had these templates for two years and just didn’t get around to using them. I so appreciate this tutorial. Now to dive in to playing with them. This was so very helpful.
H take my first lesson this week looking forward to it 🙂
Have fun!
Hi Kate, I am also new to quilting, you are so inspirational and informative. I love that I can do everything you have shown today without any further purchases. I am torn between watching and actually doing. Love your tutorials, you have a very organised mind, your flow with information is brilliant. Thankyou, thankyou.
So gorgeous after the centre piece was added. Love it.
Hello from Nevada City ☺️
Hi Patti
Thank you so much for all of your inspiring and informative sessions Kate . I am from the UK and new to quilting and using rulers and am finding all of your tutorials invaluable. The filming angle is brilliant and you are really clear in your instructions and explanations throughout whilst also keeping things real. I love Bon Bon moments !
Love the ideas you create for us. Thank you
Thanks Valerie :)
Another great video! Such great ideas. As luck would have it I'm currently struggling with how to quilt a 5" border and, thanks to you, I now have a few more ideas. Please keep these great videos coming. Thank you so very much.
So glad that worked! Hope that helps you get it finished!
Sooo pretty
Thank you :$
Hi, from Indiana!
Wow glad I found you!
Thanks :)
It’s beautiful!
Great ideas!
Hello! First, I wanted to say that you are a great educator! I watched part 1 and really liked it and this part is great too! I got the sampler set a while ago but am just now trying to learn to work with the templates. So, I am grateful that you have done such a great job teaching how to be so creative with the templates! As I was watching, I loved how you were able to draw it out to see what they look like. In my set, I did not get the little disc that you used to draw the 1/4" around to replicate the foot. Is there any way I can order one?

Thanks for your kind words.
Beautiful work! I am totally intrigued by the table you put on the machine you quilt on. It's a cutting mat, right?
How does that work please? Is it glossed? My cutting mat is non-slip and full of scars from cutting fabric😀.
It isn’t a cutting mat but a glider for reducing friction when sewing or quilting.
Where did you get the little disk that you used with the pencil to make it 1/4 in. Away? My starter set didn't come with that.
I love the designs in this video especially the first one.
Thank you. The small disks are called stitching line disks. You can find them here: www.fabrikatedquilts.com/shop/c/p/Stitching-Line-Discs---Pack-of-8-4-sizes-Pink-x62320318.htm or in a combination with some other tools

Do you have you have the feeddogs down
Yes I always do for quilting.
What is the little risk you used with the pencil? I think that would so helpful.

They should be able to get you a spacing gauge also then. Just ask them
To order it if they don’t have it. Or I can send you one via my website www.FabriKatedquilts.com

What kind of machine do you have?
Hi Shena, I have several Janome, Bernina, and Babylock. They are all great and I find quilting on them a pleasure. Do you have any specific questions you would like to ask?
@@katequinnoffabquilts which Janome?
I have a Janome 9450.
@@katequinnoffabquilts Me Too - Just found you. But I know there is no Magic machine ...practice....
Where did the square originate? Does ones always sew left to right (north west south)? I only heard sew to "this", what is meant by "this"? Me, x-military used to specific directions, not this and that. confusing. but your video is nice on "mute"

Wish I could. Maybe UA-cam will do it in the future.
