Here is my Tile Titan's Block 5 video. Tools include the Mini Multi Arc, Between the Lines Circle 1.5", Simple Circle Set 2 - 2.5" Circle, and the Curly Q 11.5" Wide and the 10.5' from Curly Q Set 2.
I have the mini multi arcs on hand as well as both the Between the Lines Sets and the Simple Circle Set 2. I can order the Curly q Sets for anyone that wants one. Check out my web store www.FabriKatedQuilts.com or message me for more information by using the email link on my webpage.
Other Circles can be used in place of the ones I have chosen to use if you have them of course. I really like the 1.5" size that is in the Between the Lines set.

Rulerwork Setting for using higher end Bernina Machines and the 72 foot
Переглядів 1,4 тис.Рік тому
Bernina users that have the #72 rulerfoot will want to use high shank templates. Longarm and low shank can also be used. The longarm style will have slightly lower needle visibility due to the height of the template but work fine. I fine the low shank less comfortable to hold but have friends who love using the low shank and have no problem using them. This video shares some of the setting adju...

Very clever use of tools! Thank you --
Do westlee ruler foot fit the Janome Excel W18 sewing machine please
I believe so. This looks to be a low shank style of machine. Janome also has a low change adjustable height ruler foot that you could try.
You're a great teacher
Tks Marie
Love your tutorials I’ve learned a lot 😊
Thanks
I can’t tell if tape is on the side touching the material or on side your fingers are touching?
The grip tape should go against the fabric. It makes the template “stick” to the fabric and then the template and fabric can move together more smoothly.
Beautiful work! I am totally intrigued by the table you put on the machine you quilt on. It's a cutting mat, right? How does that work please? Is it glossed? My cutting mat is non-slip and full of scars from cutting fabric😀.
It isn’t a cutting mat but a glider for reducing friction when sewing or quilting.
I am working on a Christmas project now! This will be perfect!
Wonderful!
I have a qnique 15 pro on a cutie table top hoop frame. Micro quilting lines 2 stitches apart has ROCKED my world on my feather whole cloth quilts . I love this video thanks for making it !
That is awesome! I am so happy that worked for you!!
Kate ru not making anymore videos
I have been traveling pretty intensely so it’s been hard. I have a new one from late March and that I posted here but I am not home enough to do weekly videos. It under the Janome Playlist and is on precision binding.
I am a beginner at this and could use all the help I can find. I love how u teach ur very thorough.
Awesome! Thank you!
Kate I love to make table runners and table mats how can this guideliner work for me. Also would the templates u demonstrate work for a table runner?
Absolutely this can work for table runners. Use your seams as guidelines or add references as needed to create your designs.
Thank u
What kind of glider do u use
I use both the grid glider which allows for sewing and Freemotion stitching and the white free motion glider. Here is a link to see them. www.fabrikatedquilts.com/iishop?form_version=2&showSearchResults=1&search_keyword=Glider&image_x=0&image_y=0
@@katequinnoffabquilts awesome thank u
What kind of pen are you using to mark the fabric?
Here is a link to a list of things I like to use. I mainly use white chalk products on light and air erase or the duo marker in lighter colored projects. www.fabrikatedquilts.com/shop/Kate-Approved-Marking-Tools-for-Quilting.htm
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
😊
Good Morning from Colo
Morning! Did you know I am coming to Littleton Co May 10-11 to teach?! Can’t wait.
Jackie from Alberta Canada
Hi Jackie
Oh boy , you just saved my quilt with this tutorial. I was having a really hard time quilting. As I was listening, I was changing my tension and following your instructions. Really good video!!!! Thanks and have a blessed day!!
Wonderful! I am so happy this was helpful to you and made a difference.
This is absolutely the best! So grateful for the very practical demonstration of the mechanics of fmq.
Glad it was helpful!
Beautiful and so creative. The you for sharing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for this tutorial!
My pleasure!
What kind of machine are you using?
This is a Janome 9450. Janome has a very useful Rulerwork program so setting up the machine is super easy. Other machine can or course do it too but I love my machine’s function .
You should show what your doing on the settings so we know where those setting are
I spoke through the setting because my machine is very specific and it will not help the general public if they try to do it the same. Each quilt sandwiches and batting and machine will have its own quilts or requirements. The basic direction is that the foot needs to be as low as possible to stitch well while not preventing you from moving. If this was a Janome channel I would do that and have a video regarding that if you need it, but my channel is brand non specific so I did not do that here.
Good
Thanks
Amazing. I will watch several times to make sure I practice this technique. Thanks so very much
Wonderful! Thank you :)
Amazing video, learned so many things, answered so many issues, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Kate, is your Design Layout sheet still available to download somewhere? Would sure like to have it to use in following along with your video and practice this lesson. Thanks so much!
No, sorry. I do have a different one for the artisan curve called Daisy Lively Mandala which has full instructions but not for this design. You can see the other design and pattern here: www.fabrikatedquilts.com/shop/Quilting-Books-and-Patterns/p/Daisy-Lively-Mandala-Artisan-Curve-Circles-Pattern-x81301671.htm

Great tutorial. I do my binding just like this, but I press the binding seam open for less bulk.
Love the design!
Glad you like it!
How do you clean the residue from the tape on templates .
I masking tape and keep tacking until it releases
Hi, This is the first time I have seen your channel. I like the way you explain the quilting. I am very curious as to where you found your pen.. I have stayed away from pens ( or markers) bc they look difficult to use but yours does not. Can you share with me the brand and where to purchase it? Thank you. I have subscribed as I want to learn more from you.

Love the video. You always have so many wonderful demons thank you for sharing. I love the fun and fancy book and set Of templates great illustrations and explorations.
Thank you so much!
Hello …
Have a nice day
My fun and fancy set did not include the inset of the oval. Was it missing?
They have changed the packaging since it was initially released so that piece is no longer included.
Recien descubrí su canal, me encantó el tutorial ,haces que lo veamos mas fácil, 😊gracias por compartir 🤗
Best video on free motion. Answered so many questions and issues for me. Thank you!!
Great to hear!
I thought you were supposed to store quilting mats flat instead of hanging
I have a complete quilt top sandwiched but paralyzed with fear about quilting it. I keep watching videos like this to try and gain courage!
You can do it! Remember to just start with one motif or idea and build from there. We have to start somewhere.
@@katequinnoffabquilts Still on phase 'why do I have an inch long skipped stitch? XD The videos make it look so easy, It'll get there just gotta get past stage 1.
Me too!! Just got to start it I guess.
I recognize your Janome machine. At what pressure level have you set your pressure foot?
I don’t usually change the pressure. I change the foot height to match the sandwich so it may change from quilt to quilt.
Thanks!
❤
I was just wondering if you have any videos using these templates on your long arm I will be using them on a long arm and I would like to see how they are used. You have such wonderful ideas and have been watching you for several days now every video I can find, but I would certainly love to see some long arm work. Thank you.
I do have a Longarm playlist. That is where you can see me using templates on my Longarm.
When will we see you back on Sunday? Miss you.
I am traveling a lot so it’s difficult to be on at the moment and I have limited days off with my family. I hope to return and do more a little later in the year.
What are the tabs you use to stop it slipping under your fingers
These are called Stable Tape. Here is a link www.fabrikatedquilts.com/shop/c/p/Stable-Tape-Ruler-Grips-x59606167.htm
