@@gailpetchenik3048 I put a tsp of lemon juice and a tsp of salt in a pint jar, pour in boiling water, cap and place immediately in a hot(boiling) water bath. let them cook for 15 min and remove to cool, when you open them rinse, pat dry, batter and fry.
Is Momma Hoss going to give us the recipe to can these so they won’t be mushy when you get ready to fry them up! So you have to pressure can instead of water bath? I would love to do this! ❤️
We have been fighting blossom drop because of the excessive heat here in Iowa. On the blossoms that don’t form a tomato should we cut those off to give energy back to what it is making in terms of tomatoes?
I water bath green tomatoes in a salt water brine and lemon juice. They come out firm, just pat dry batter and fry...ummm good!
How long do u process? Pints or qts? How much lemon juice?

I will definitely can some green tomatoes. First I'll have to grow some, cant find them in the store.
