Thank You, Jimmy!!! I'm so glad you had the time to get this podcast in with Lance. While it is yet hard to believe that Lance no longer with us on this side, I am so thankful for the memories of Memphis Wrestling with Lance's input. One more shout for Jimmy Cornette and one more salute for the voice of Memphis Wrestling, Mr. Lance Russell. RIP, Mr. Russell.
Come on, Lewis! Knock it off, will ya? For crying out loud!
Bye bye everybody brought tears to my eyes. Loved Lance and Dave
Richard Bishop made a lump in my throat and brought back a million memories
Memphis wrestling is so etched into my existence. I think as Jim may had mentioned before, you just knew who Lance and dave were. For me it was just the perfect time in life. Growing up in Evansville, In the early 80's, wrestling was just like family visiting on saturday morning. When I found out Lance passed away, I felt like a part of my own childhood was gone. I'm glad that he got to live a long and happy life. Modest and down to earth but such a tremendous influence on those around him. He will be missed.
Lunce Russell and Dave Brown are the numbers one
The best wrestling interview ever. His last sign-off has to give you chills.
lance russell threatening tojo with a claw hammer has got to be one of the hottest angles ever. as a kid, i saw it and remembered thinking "i know this is just a show, but DAMN HE'S MAD!!!"
bladestormviking I'm from Clarksdale, Mississippi and this issue one of my favorite moments in Memphis Wrestling
Thanks Corny for this wonderful historically significant interview. Lance Russell is not only the greatest wrestling announcer ever, but one of the important figures in television history period. An American hero icon and wonderful man. If others aren't thankful for Jim Cornette's devotion to history I surely am.
I attended a WCW card at the Bayfront Center that Mr. Russell called for the hotline.shook his hand and he signed my program.
Love this show what an interesting interview
Awesome
Lance Russell - King Of Men.
Boy he is some kind of tough...
Lance Russell
Well dogie. I'm getting old but I grew up watching Lance Russell. Many people have forgotten that a Memphis sports announcer Jack Eden Big Jack was Lance side kick for a short time. As a kid we use to ride our bikes to WHBQ. To try to the wrestlers going into the building. Thanks so much for interviewing Lance Russell. Jim this was great. Brought back so many memories.
We were all blessed to be alive during Lance Russell's lifetime. Absolute legend and the best.
I would pay a hefty amount for higher quality hard copies of Memphis's entire run in 1982...THAT was something special...
So would I, if you ever find someone who can supply let me know! I’ll do the same if I find anyone
Lance talked about Jackie Fargo and Jackie Wilson, but he didn't talk about Jackie Chutheroff. Why?
Love me some lance russsel

Justin Cromer sound like Heat to me...lol
