Here is a clip from a Jump Technique workshop I did for an Athletic Mastery Camp in Toronto at The Athlete Matrix. This drill is a STAPLE in the PPA Methodology and helps to train the athlete both physically and mentally. The deliberate PUSH movement instills a sense of urgency through a crucial stride that is often underutilized/misunderstood.
Here is a GREAT drill to use with your athletes or with yourself! Enjoy!

Just a thought, next time you might want to try to show a bit more of the drill actually being performed. It’s just kinda hard to see what he’s praising or correcting without seeing the people actually performing the drill. Otherwise awesome vid 👌🏽

This video is what I did subconsciously to get that extra height I went to the park yesterday and my body is slowly but surly getting use to jumping at that 10"6 height my mind wants all my movements to be faster and produce more force when u think about it you stall but when you have a sensei like me Tyler here u wil here his voice telling you to dive through and PUNCH!!!!!!!

Loving this channel. I've been working on pushing and having a longer penultimate stride since I realized I was "stepping into" my jump as you talked about. However, I feel like I'm blowing through my jump. When I try to push hard it carries me too far forward and I don't go straight up enough or get as high as I could be.
