Celeb I was disappointed with his dark side turn. In the OT his evil. But he didn't turn to become evil. He turned to save amidala only. That's not becoming evil. Also he thinks obi wan turned her against him out if no where. He just gets angry at obi wan with no reason. Also palpation says he has the power to save padme. Then when anamin turns he says to together we can unlock the secret and save her. Something across them lines. George lucas messed uo big time there. Like nobody would realise that. When he turned and didn't get what he wanted. He should have come back as a jedi and went for the emperor. O I wan was trying to get him back after turning. And anakin thinks his turning her against him just like that. Nothing made sense. Even quiet a bit of hard-core star wars fans say his turning wasn't convincing. Like o said he didn't turn to become evil as portrayed in OT. He only went to save amidala. Episode 3 was yhe buggest failure for me.

I think this is the moment Vader decided he was going to recruit Luke to help him overthrow Palpatine.
He knew he couldn't do it by himself but with two of them,they might actually stand a chance

I love this moment in the comics. “I understand ‘us’ perfectly.” Vader finally understands that he is a tool. He may have guessed it before, but now he knows. He means nothing to the emperor.
Exactly and most people don't realize the first few years of the empire all Vader had was his friend and master palpatine but the relationship soon started to sour
@@apastafarian5051 Vader always knew, his plan was always to overthrow Sidious. In this scene he chose not to say what he original was going to say so that he could use it against him, which was his plan of turning Luke over to the darkside and overthrow sidous
@@edguuurr he didn't always know, before he lost the duel with Obi-Wan he thought he could over throw palpatine and rule but after he lost Padme he didn't feel a need to over throw the emperor he was his friend and all he had left, then the relationship goes down hill because you know, sith. And by time luke is messing with things and he found out he had a kid which means the emperor lied about padme he's done with his sh*t and is ready to overthrow him again, all in the comics
@@apastafarian5051 The relationship started to get sour when he lost against Obi-Wan, it was the plan of the Emperor that Vader will destroy him at the end, he told Yoda when they were fighting. But the weakness of Anakin disappointed him so much that the relationship went from Master/ Apprentice to Master/Slave.
@@kalh5158 I think the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi proves that. Vader is absolutely put back in his place when he's threatens to go scorched Earth to find Kenobi again after he already lost.
You can almost see the hate for the emperor coming out of Vader at that point

The most funy is that his son was"hide" on planet where Anakin was born in home where Anakins mother spend last of her years, in place what Vader know like his pocket. It's told lots about how valuble was Luke if his sister was hide much better on unknow planet, uknow but rich family who gave her education. In same time her brother play with toys and make pew pew sounds

It must have been exhilarating for Vader to say that. To tell someone, for the first time in twenty years, that he had some kind of familial relationship with him. It seems sudden in the film, but Vader had been building up to it for many months.
And of course Luke was shocked. This droid-like monster who killed his master, tortured a woman who was his friend (and unbeknown to him his sister), and committed a number of other sins, is also his father. Imagine if Joseph Stalin fought you, beat you up, and then told you that you were his son. While Vader isn't necessarily as irredeemable as old Joseph, he is roughly in the same position in the eyes of the galaxy.

Part of me is confused. Boba didn’t seem to find that name familiar, but I would think he would definitely be aware of who Anakin Skywalker is. Maybe it just wasn’t relevant to bring up to Vader since I’m sure Boba doesn’t know Vader is Anakin.
For all he knows the pilot might have named himself after a war hero.

So in ESB when he says "How it that possible?" while he's being sort of serious I guess, he also secretly knows the Emperor really screwed him over and lied to him.
Yeah in the new Vader comics they show Vader secretly trying to take over the empire after hearing from Boba Fett that he has a son, while Palpatine tries to get him replaced, which worked really well with episode 5 and 6.

Finding out Luke was his son was not when Vader began to come back to the Light, because at this point he simply thought he could make Luke his new apprentice in the Dark Side and use him to overthrow the Emperor. But I believe it was the event that triggered the beginning of the return of Anakin Skywalker's personality to the surface (if we see Anakin and Vader as two different personalities).
I never accepted that personalities stuff. They are the same...I liken it to more of an assumed identity to hide behind, like going on the run after a crime.

I was never really into "split personalities" or addressing them as different people, maybe only for clarity as Vader = suit, Anakin = pre suit.
Vader is his Sith name, he also uses it as a coping mechanism to disassociate from his past trauma and memories. Revenge of the Sith novelization ending was perfect in how it portrayed the moment he was put into the suit and then learned of Padme's death. He wasn't addresses as Vader, but as Anakin, suffering and burning in his own flame. As Sith preach ultimate egoism and elevation of oneself, now Anakin will have only himself and consequences of his choices to suffer through the rest of his life.
DID dissociative identity disorder. I think Vader and anakin are one body but two people. This event eventually led to reemergence of anakin to return in ep 6
Anakin last showed up in kenobi 6 and maybe just a bit in New Hope but given the RotS defeat happened when anakin we Vader is lean towards ep 6

This is the moment Vader felt actual emotion rather then just cold wrath. His anger burned as hot as a star again, and he finally had something to live for again, a purpose. He had hope once again. Hope he could finally rule the galaxy as he saw fit. So yes, it is the spark that reignited that tony piece of Anakin he still had.
Damn, the mask does nothing to but breath... and yet it conveyed so much emotion in this.
You get a lot of that in SW. Check out Threepio's body reactions to stuff even though his face only has that wide-eyed expression. For example, when he sees the droid being tortured and jerks up in fear. That's one of the acting skills used in the original movies that I love to see.
It sucks that awesome Vader arcs are being explored through comics instead of a live action or perhaps animated series
Agreed, all the good stories they could do with Vader are being done in comics. Not that the comics aren't good but a show...
@@gogoboymelton Yeah the Vader 2015 and 2017 (especially the 2017 finale) were awesome comics but they would be an absolute spectacular series. The comic medium almost feels like a waste of potential.

They should make a series on Vader by using the clone wars animation style.
There is a lot of content they can show.
And his daughter close by the entire time and he never knew.
What makes this incredibly tragic was that everything Vader did in service to Sidious and the Empire was fueled under the belief he murdered his wife and unborn children. But upon learning about his son's existence, the once emotionally extinguished tyrant himself started to drift away from the dark side and slowly to the light. Padme knew there was good in Anakin and in the end, Luke saved his father from the very side of evil that consumed his soul many years ago, therefore solidifying Padmes quote
When Padme look into Anakin's eyes when he was on the dark side, she was scared, crying, and didn't realize her husband at all. And you can tell how she was!!!

Anakin probably thought that when Padmae died, that she didn't have the baby. No one knew that she was carrying twins. She gave birth before she died. Obi-wan was right to hide Luke and Leia from him. It would not have been good.

That was when Vader realized Palpatine lied to him. He already hated himself, and Sidious but now he hated Sidious more than himself. This was made Anakin begin to plan the Emperor’s downfall.
