It would be nice to see the video tutorial go round a corner as this is where I sometimes get a little stuck
I like this! Would of liked to see you do the corner. 👍😊
Could you show us how to do the corners please?
When you get to a corner do you have to change the pattern or does it just continue round in the same way?
It looks beautiful! just have one question for you: how do you do corners? Do you do double shell with one or two stitches in between to create corner?
That's my question too. Was there ever an answer?
I have done this border several times and yes, I do two in the corners so It turns nicely.
Great instructions!!!!! Thank you for going right into the instructions instead of telling us about your nail polish, your baby screaming in the background, why your dog or cat is sleeping in the background etc.
Música
Yes, exactly! I'm glad you take care of yourself, but I really don't care if you're nail polish matches today's yarn. I also like how she doesn't needlessly repeat herself.
I've done this a few times and have shared it several times.
So wanted to make a laugh out loud emoji for this comment. Sometimes we need details, say for example for pattern, but stitches we don't need all that waffle.
Can you do a corner to see how it is?
عسووووووله اختى تسلم ايدك يا
What about corners? Anything special for the corners?
May I ask what pattern your blanket is? You make the border look so easy. Thank you for showing.
I agree Big Wanda!! Straight to business! Absolutely lovely border and so easy!! Thank you!
Also your voice is beautiful to listen to!!
Absolutely gorgeous!! Any tips for the corners?
You crochet so tight I can hear your hook squeek. Lol.
Joining at end? Either I keep missing it or none of the videos Ive seen show it.
May I ask, what are your base stitches before you start the shells? Thanks! I love your patterns and tutorials. I made the coed cardigan for my friend's husband. It looked great!
Her whole blog post with all the info is here: hearthookhome.com/crochet-border-reverse-shell-using-single-crochet/
For a beginner like myself this was great! I'm just getting into crocheting and to know I can add in borders after stitching the blanket is awesome. I'm a knitter, and I'm becoming obsessed with crochet
Thank you for this clear tutorial for a lovely edge. As a variation, I put the first of my three single crochet stitches in the last space of the previous shell. I tried both ways and found this gave a tighter finish that I was looking for. I too wished for extra instruction for corners please.
I tried to read as much of the comments i could and i didn’t see this question... but what if i don’t have exactly the multiples of 3?? What do i do then???
Thanks sooo much for the pattern and tutorial. Explanation on each was clear and super easy to follow. Plan to use on Hello Kitty afghan.
I have used this border to finish off a blanket. I have hard not before. I was wondering if you have any ideas as to keeping the shells in the right position. I have to always fix them. I have tried a loose stitch and even tried tightening my stitch. But can not get it to lay like it should with out having to make them lay right. Thank you so much for you time.
What is the name of the stitch or pattern you used for the main part of blanket?
PandaHaven24 I may be wrong but it looks like she just did the main blanket in c2c
I really love this crochet border. I’m currently working on this particular one. But for some reason the shells are curling inwards. What am I doing wrong? I really love this crochet border, but for some reason it is not working out for me. :(
Which stitch is this blanket?
What a super fun border! Just added in mint green to a white star stitch washcloth and it came out beautiful! Thank you for your good, clear instruction. Can't wait to use it on a blanket.
What about corners?
I love this border. Thank you so much for this wonderful border. I am making shawls for some lovely ladies in a nursing home and I don't put fringe as they get stuck in the wheels of their wheelchairs. The washers at these nursing homes are commercial grade and wreck the fringe work. This border would be perfect. Again thank you. God Bless.
I am glad you like it!
Thank you for great instructions very beautiful border I made a blanket with this beautiful border
Hi, love this one but have a vouple questions:
1 your base ( in my case blanket) needs to have multiple of 3 amount of stitches right?
2 how do you do corners?
This is a beautiful border. Can't wait to try it. Thank for sharing
Very nice! Thank you.
Thank you, l just started this border. What about the corners? Anything different? Or just go around all 4 and it will naturally form the corner?
Allison Thomas it naturally works out.
I also have questions about the corners...just continue the border like normal?
You make everything so easy to learn. I’ve watched a lot of different videos and you by far are the easiest one to understand with your instructions.
Awesome! Thank you!
I love this border. Mine seems to be curling. Any suggestions before I get too far and have to rip it all out?
You may want to try going up a hook size and see if that helps.
So Beautiful. I Really like the way you show and explain it in a patience way.
I truly miss that you don´t show how to handle the corners? I can´t figure them out 😓.!
I hope to find the answer on another UA-cam video. ...But Thanks.!🧶🧶🧶♥
Thanks. I'm going to use this border. I'v always liked the simple shell st. border . This one adds some dimension to it.
May I ask what the pattern is for the blanket. I just love it.
It's just C2C. hearthookhome.com/how-to-crochet-a-corner-to-corner-c2c-throw/
OMG !!!! I have never seen shells done like that ... I love that . I'll definitely be doing that 😍😍
These instructions were awesome! I love how you show us more than once and don’t speed your way through. You actually teach us, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
How do you end the project once you’ve done it around the blanket? How does the first shell gets over the last one? This part is missing.
จ้าสวยมากจะฟังภาษาไม่ออกแต่ก็เพราะนะคะ
I am try this and really this is so pretty
So wish you'd state the multiple at the beginning of the instructional.
I'm going to try that boarder that is so pretty'.
How many single crochets did you put in the corners of the preparation row before you started the shells??
Thank you this is soo simple yet soo beautiful 🤩
Hey Maribel go check out Jeanne on the hook. You won today 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome instructions, thank you
You're welcome : )
Do you have a video for this blanket?
Beautiful! Love it ! What is the pattern to the actual blanket? Do you have a tutorial on that? I love the pattern. 😊
It's a C2C.
Corner to corner
@@mistym614 What is C2C?
@@lesalaurence8439 corner to corner
It’s beautiful, but I would like to see how you do a corner. Thank you!
Would make a pretty collar embellishment!!!
Thanks for a very informative and easy to understand video! I appreciate you taking the time to make it for all of us!
Wher do I find the pattern for your seatbelt cover? Please
Hi there...my name is Lesa....i followed your video in completing the corner to corner. I followed the border where you chain 2 and do single crochet in between each block. What I need to know, is I see you did a single crochet attaching the yarn to the blanket but how did you do that being when you chain 2, there are little holes in between. I would to make this border and not sure what my next step is. Do I need to do another single crochet going around? Also...how do you do the corners with this stitch too which you do not show. Im making this blanket for a Christening. My daughter is having twins. Thank you so much. 💙
Hi Lesa! The first round of the border is only to clean things up. I would do another row as a foundation for the reverse shells. At the corners, you'll just straddle them.
You're really not going to show how to comment the last stitch?
I love the border but what pattern is that beautiful blanket??
I am having weird issues with your videos on my IPad and on my desktop PC ! No matter which one I click on i get sent to a different video.. I have no idea why !!! This was supposed to be a beach bag .. when I try to get your fruit hammock video I get for a hat/beanie .. I'm giving up on this for a while anyway... Very frustrating
how to do double colour plz reply
❤ That's is so cute and l will try to put in my fleece blanket 😊
FYI to everyone...... I hope this doesn't sound ugly because I don't mean for it to. But please re-watch the video and listen before asking questions. Most of the questions are answered in the video.
thank you so much from Australia, this is a really easy to understand tutorial for what looks to be a complicated stitch. the effect is quite stunning. the blanket my friends and i crotcheted for a new grand baby was a little narrow so this stitch helped it bulk out a bit as its quite a wide border. Again thank you!
Thank you!! You made a very complicated stitch easy enough for me to do. It's the perfect border for my co workers circle baby blanket
Would you have it for left handed?
Thank you
Thanks, it's beautiful. I'm going to do this tomorrow for my granddaughter's blanket.
Thank you! This is exactly the border I needed. Your instructions were great!
I have made this border before but forgot how. Thanks for going so slow.
I am finishing this border now on a corner to corner cr blanket for our Grand Annabella...she ask for the blanket to be pink with lavender touches. It is amazing how much this lovely border added to this blankets overall appeal! I am so pleased with it...expecially as it is very time consuming. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Elizabeth.
Many thanks ,any chance of showing us the same stitch without having to turn our work as it’s sooooo cumbersome to do so .
what do you do at the corner? (or did I miss that part)
Thank you so much you explain very clearly and easy to follow this pattern now I was able to finish my blouse thxs .
I love the white afghan. What stitch is this! Very pretty with the pink border.
So pretty! Thank you!
Can you do a video for the reversible shell baby blanket please thank you.
Hi! That is the corner to corner method. I have a video on that here: ua-cam.com/video/rMTjt3iCmmQ/v-deo.html
When completing the last shell, where do you slip stitch into the front of your first shell to get it to sit right? Is it into the top of the shell, or one of the dc loops at the bottom? Thanks
Hi Wendy! You will be slip stitching into the front of the base of that 1st shell...I show where to do that at about the 6:10 minute mark of this video. Hope this helps!
I am getting ready to do this edging on the baby blanket I am just about finish with. The pattern for the blanket I am making is the Crystal Wave stitch. Love your video!!
beautiful! tnx!
Thank you!!! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
It looks there is something between the C2C edge and the start of the shells ie your first border. What is that?
OMG Ashley! I simply love this Border! But I had to watch it several times and write the instructions down as I'm left handed, so the turn, anchor, sl. st turn part had me in a slew of yarn & all twisted up! On my 3rd attempt I had it beautifully! But I'm curious! The boarder appears much larger in real time vs. UA-cam time. Is there anyway to make a smaller version of this gorgeous Rev. Shell . Boarder? Can we do sc. 2, then ch.2, anchor, sl. st, turn & work 5 dbl C's? What would the effects be? I suppose I could do it myself and let you know! Just curious if it will still come out as nice. I thought a smaller fan would look so pretty. Your opinion please? And thank you so much for this lovely gorgeous video! This was my 1st time watching you. I subscribed immediately! You were easy to watch, clear, concise and repeated enough times so I was able to keep up! I'm disabled, so my partial blindness and severe ADHD were easily accompanied with success rather than frustration! I'm often afraid to try more complexed stitches (intermediate) due to my handicaps but you made this a Dream! I've always watched 2 other crochet sites, Creative Grandma & Mikey from The Crochet Club, but sometimes I'm disheartened when I can't keep up with a newer stitch. I really appreciate you video and can't wait to try something different soon! Bless you Ashley. I really appreciate it! Sincerely, Suzi
You are the BEST!!! You're the easiest to understand of all!!! Thank you so much for being VERY detailed!!! And not too fast!!! You're my FAVORITE!!! I can actually do the shell now. Thanks to you❣️ I will totally subscribe to yours!!!
Wow, thank you! I am so glad you found the video helpful!
Wow i just found you and i live your relaxing voice. I have done many reverse crochet but they are more of a nautical rope look. I just love this look. Thank you so very much for offering this and here i was just about ready to give up crocheting and only do refashion thrift finds and my art work. Maybe i will hang onto crochet. I do want to track the teens at church how to sew and crochet so i will hang onto your channel as i just subscribed. Thanks again!!!!!😁
this is stunning. I used this on a c2c baby blanket and it is beautiful. thanks for the tutorial.
I too was thinking of doing it on my c2c blanket
If you look closely it looks like her blanket was a C2C .
Mary Ann Prager Hello did you do this on a c2c. I'm doing a c2c but how did you do the edging before this border. I know it's a single crochet first but do you know where there's a video showing you how to do the first sc row?
Love from Ireland xxx
Love it thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks so much for your great tutorial! The pattern is so easy and pretty ❤
Glad you like it!
It's an easy way to finish a delicate project and easy to translate for my french fallowers.
Sooo pretty!
I love this border. It is so easy to do. Your instructions were very easy to follow. Thank you, I have found a new favorite.
I have been using this border for my baby blankets and I love it
Thank you.... 💕💖💕
Thank you for such a great and easy to follow tutorial. I just speed crocheted a baby blanket for my mom's friend in two days and was looking for a nice border for it. I saw this tutorial and took a gamble and decided to try it out. It looks so pretty but I am crying right now because I just ran out of yarn I have about 1/4 of the blanket left to edge :'( This pattern sure does eat up yarn...lol...but i still love it! Will run to the shop tomorrow for more yarn.
This is my favourite border to put on baby blankets. Just love making it. So pretty looking and a great easy tutorial to follow! Thanks, Ashlea!
Wonderful!
never saw this before and i love it. you are super for sharing!
What do you do at the corner?
Thank you for this tutorial, really easy to follow and a beautiful border.
I just made a baby blanket with the bean stitch and I am going to use this stitch for the border....I,love the way this looks! Thanks for sharing 😊
Love this stitch. Question... Could you do singles instead of doubles if you are making something really small?
Sure!
Thank you! I was trying to follow written directions for this border, this video really clarified the pattern. 😊
I'm so glad!
I'm making a moon themed blanket for my grandson that's due in a month. This border came the closest I could find to being like tiny moons. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Can you do multiple rows of reverse shell border??? If so, can you do a video on this or a link for written pattern on this border ???
Unfortunately you can't : (
Thank your for this tutorial for a pretty edging!
