Thanks for the 6 month review and the 'fix' episodes! It's cooled my interest in upgrading to the I5 30FW for now.
I'm waiting for the episode on the slide system, since I've experienced failure mode on our Isata 3 24FW and assembled an alternate power system and spare motor & controller.

It would be nice if Dynamax upped their quality control. I've seen way too many models being pushed out than there are buyers. The inventory on new Dynamax RV's seems to have quite the backlog now. Hopefully they can focus more on quality.
Not sure if I will get to replacing the slide controllers and switches. It's on my list but the bottom. I will likely regret it lol. Been contemplating just going to Vroom to have them replace everything, but not sure I want to invest that much money in both slide outs at this time.

I know you are a very detailed person, but I as an NRVIA Certified Inspector & Tech many of my inspections are for highly capable people and see extraordinary value in an inspection. Did you consider getting one?

No I did not but I would always encourage anyone else purchasing new or used to get one. From my personal experience, many repairs made by the dealer make the re-repair more difficult. I have them take care of some repairs, and handle the tougher ones myself so I know it's done right. It's not ideal for most people but I like having it done and not worry about it again. But I would encourage anyone buying new to get an inspection done.

What is happening is that no one can hire quality help these days and they hire anybody off the street so you are not getting professional work done by a skilled craftsman. But the fact remains that most employers still want to pay low wages and can't understand why people are not lining up for jobs that pay less than $20 an hour. In my area Amazon and McDonalds are starting people out for more than $20 an hour but a helper for a plumbing or carpenter position only pays about $16 - $17 an hour 🤣

Yes it's hard to believe trade workers get paid so little in some areas. They still need quality control regardless, and you can tell they are just rushing things out the door.

@@rvlifediy if a company doesn't care about it's own employees, it's a good reflection of how they feel about their own product and their customers so quality and customer satisfaction are a low priority as well.
