Listen I’ve watching you from conception on this cat an I think you’ve done a brilliant job on this boat! Never worry bout others! It’s your channel your video! Now go rip some lips! Great video!
I had to add the adapter kit to my Mercury on my Bass Cat and if you raise the motor to high the front cable tube can get bent and then you can’t steer correctly. Make sure it clears the top of the transom and jackplate 👍
Should be a flat head screw on back of tack to adjust it. Should be idling at 700 max at 5500 and when stop it show what it was stopped at until turn key on to reset
A lot of motors have a high idle when cold as well. My grandpa's old Evinrude Intruder would high idle at around 1600rpm for a few minutes to warm itself up before dropping to its regular idle speed.
That XR6 sounds like it's tuned perfectly! Sounds about like 1200 rpms. 1050-1100 would be low end and 1200 would be upper end, but still in range for mercury idling specs per any mercury XR6 tech manual. I love my XR6 Mercury and have been running it for nearly a decade and it's literally the best motor Mercury ever made. Honestly I'd love to buy your's, that's how dependable and impressive they are!
The fact you made the tournament and fished is a win for sure!
The anticipation is killing me!! I’m restoring an 86 champion with some same scenarios and it’s definitely motivating me.

I Iucked out!
Man bro do your thing ready to see the tournament video
Tachs have to be wired for a different number of cylinders. 2, 4, 6 cylinders if they are for multiple engine types. Good luck 🍺🎣
Just got a 94’ Skeeter ZX150 love it and looking at getting a 1996 Xpress thats stripped apart but in good shape for a boat to flip for extra cash
Bro how long are you gonna make us wait on this next video it’s insane. It’s clearly already filmed
Fr I’ve been waiting since the last vid came out
Good Luck Brother !!!!!
Got to set the gauge to match the coil pulses
Do you a button on the back of the RPM the set the pulses
Just take a risk and send it! Good luck!!
When are you posting the tournament vid?
Hopefully today 😎
@@TightlineTV LETS GO!!
That tachometer is meant for a 4 stroke, its reading double the RPM even at half, 2000 RPM seems high
Entertaining indeed nice !!
If not the one have it SeaStar 68399P Tach 7K Eclipse 3"
Need that next video
Use a step bit when you need to make a hole bigger.. 😂
Send it!!
Voltage regulaters are suspect my tach was all over the place on xr6 needed voltage regulators
Sweet
The motor will idle higher until you put it on the water. Def not 4K rpm but it will drop because of the load of it sucking in water
Just fish on the trolling motor ,your probably not going to do so well with no prefish anyway

Well I guess I went down the rabbit hole. No new video for 10 months.
