Love that you guys are back! And looks like yall got some new tools! Would love to see another tool video and maybe a van tour! Hope to see more service calls and project boats in the future
Thanks guys, u teach people heaps, it's sweet to be able to do some stuff yourself, cheaper and makes u feel good. 🇦🇺👌👍
Donny is looking Solid going into 2023… what’s that guys diet/workout regimen. He’s definitely getting in shape for the new year
Really like watching you mechanical work and explanations, keep the videos coming..
Another interesting video, as always! I could have sworn I saw a glimpse of the famous claw hammer there for a second...
Awesome video!! Can you guys do a video on how a dual console set up is rigged. I'd be interested to see how the steering cables or hydraulic lines or both work and how the cables would run for shifting and throttle or how it would work with fly by wire too. Keep up the good work capt
I had an oil filter for my car with the same problem. I spent 10 minutes trying to get that thing on. Looked at the threads went out and bought another one and it went right on.
Great video mate 😅.
I have an idea for your next video. When the grease fitting won't take grease and you remove it to find packed salt behind it and how to unclog that situation.
Yup, you guessed it.... I'm dealing with that on my outboard swing arm.
Yeah, that sucks, you gotta get that fitting out and drill out the salt then maybe even have to replace the fitting :(
HPDI question for you experts! When should i do my fuel pump oil at the top of the motor? 200HPDI's
The timing on the trim/tilt...I had to go to a customer at a ramp with a trim and tilt issue. Used my truck , blocks of wood and a jack ( on the tailgate of my truck) to lift the 300hp yamie. Empty and free spinning reservoir , I looked like a backyard tech with how i had that engine up to replace it lol...make due with what you have.
Definitely an interesting video! Very fun tovwatch you find that leak!
Thanks! 👍
Hahaha. I’ve had so many issues with parts coming in where they aren’t threaded correctly or they did something wrong from factory. Always check your new parts folks. It’ll save you a load of time. Had a time where I had a fuel running issue and couldn’t seem to figure out why turned out brand new filter was collapsed on the inside. Great vid seems like a normal day to me so far hahaha
Great job as always wish I could pick your brain about Fiberglas work specifically fish box hatches that stripped
That’s a cool brand shirt, ‘Born Again Boating’. Never heard of it, but super cool! How long have you guys been doing marine and have you done any other mobile repair? I’ve considered MMI, so looking for content to see what that industry is like.
Thank you! Been in it for since 2011, if you like fixing things and like the water, it's a great industry :)
Great to see the new videos coming out, keep it up as we love the content... Do you see as many Suzuki's down in the keys as we do on on the gulf up in the mid part of Fl.
Congrats on the job! I need to increase the frequency of the videos! don't make me miss you.
The o- ring that was on the top of the fuel filter that you took off, was that the ring that comes in the kit that goes on the sight bowl at the bottom of the filter?
No, the one between the bowl is more like a foam gasket type of seal
I’ve always had to cut them stupid collars off them Yamahas. You’ll jack up your hands tryna pry that up. You can also use a shallow socket the same height and use that as a fulcrum that’ll usually do it other wise whipping out the cutter. Just have to be careful not to Nick the drive shaft
Good job,thanks for sharing !
Could you guys do a cowling crack repair video?
Hey, what software do you like to use to read engine data? Btw. lots of good information.
Unrelated question. Ive been sear hing for a hardtop for my 2460 trophy. Can you recommend any salvage yards that may have something? Im in MN and nothing up here to speak of. Awesome to see your vids again.
Quality stuff guys, thanks
Honda Element service rig. I like it.
Yeaaaaaaaa!
Awesome video
Just wondering are you guys still wrenching at the marina or go out on your own
No, we are more mobile now, actually in the process of starting to do more larger projects and rebuilds which will be coming out in the next couple months! Lots of content coming!
Born Again Motors, BAM!
Somebody needs to tell the captain he needs to rinse his Outboards with fresh water every now and then and put some anti-corrosion spray on them
Iv always heard those HPDIs are not good motors .
The small blocks are ok. 200 hp and below. But maintenance is key. Had a 300 HPDI. Biggest hunk of garbage ever. Spent more time in the shop than on the water.
Me encanta vuestro trabajo!! Que pasada👏👏👌
You do the oil tank filters ?
Yes sir, they weren't in that day so we had to go back the next day, and the video was already going out ;)
Nice video, love the team work💯
Was the coil bad or just the connections?
Love these vids. Dream job there fellas 🤙
Did you quit boatyard and start working on your own? Also, do you grease until it leaks out the edges of the shaft, or is this incorrect?
Yes, we are working on starting to do larger projects and more rebuilds, tons of content coming out in the next few months! And yes, right when you see it coming out, that's when you stop so you can wipe it off and it's full of grease :)
also, hpdi doesn't fire on all cylinders in neutral. Spark plugs only show the run state of the last spark. Perhaps your neutral switch is out. Impossible to know without a cylinder drop test under a load. but please quit with the grease on the fuel filter
Looks nice and clean maybe they used rec 90 fuel
How are the 150 hpdi?
I have the 150hpdi what’s your opinion on them?
Ok, bad coil, but why is it so corroded. Why so much corrosion underneath the cover. My Yama is pristine under the cover.
How do you guys like that Milwaukee batt powered great gun? Is it worth it?
It's nice, if you have Milwaukee tools already. We use it pretty regularly'
Thank you
Whatcha think of hpdi’s?
I don't mind them, the fuel systems are finicky and if you let them sit or use poor gas, they can get expensive. Also, the 250s and 300s are even more finicky! The fuel system parts are super expensive too!
@@BornAgainBoating the 150s/200s i hear are pretty good. They seem to have a lot of power (get up and go)
Yamaha no thank you rain man - Suzuki's only on my boat... Additionally; do the required maintenance service per the manual- all of this would had been avoided...... Cheeping out early will cost later..
i finally found the dummy who puts grease on a a water seperating filter gasket! Oil only. no grease there!
Great tip! Thank you ;) you're awesome!
I bet Donny's eyebrows catch all the girls attention.
He will turn heads with just one flick with one of them!
Handsome fella!
So trying to understand this channel’s backstory. You guys are rooming boat mechanics who also own a marina repair shop and you live together?
Negative sir, just boat mechanics that fix boats and try and show you different aspects of how to keep your boat running! :)
Lack of maintenance 🧑🔧
Are you no longer in the keys?
We are up in the middle east coast of Florida now, but we still go back to the keys pretty often.
Ha! You’ve got junk in your trunk!
First
🤣
Boat motors are the epitome of each one tells its own story 😂
