Do more videos with Tore.
He looks like a really nice guy
Chris Bailey I know
He should appear in all TC videos at least!
It's so cool to hear the point of view of a product developer who is genuinely excited about the things people will be doing with the products he/she is helping create. TC, more Tore please!
What I love about TC Electronic pedals is the innovation. Tone print blew my mind, now gauss sensitive foot switches acting like expression pedals... can't wait to see what they come up with next.
I love this guy in Game of Thrones
I had so many laughs during this showcase, they're adorable together and It's so great to see how happy Tore gets when going through all the detail of the pedals!
Now Eytchpi42 just needs to get some to try out so we all can have several more hours of reviews with these pedals!
Pete can play, Henning sort of mostly.
Upgraded my HOF to a HOF2, mash is a game changer, worth the upgrade just for that. Shimmer and 2 extra TonePrint slots big bonus. Also, judging by these two - Danish people are awesome 👍
Awesome video guys. I just picked up the Hall Of Fame 2, and the Flashback 2 used (killer deal) I can't get enough of these 2 pedals together!
TC is unreal! They fixed all the issues I have been having with my Flashback, plus added a good bunch of new features that I never even thought of but they seem to be awesome as well! Might need to go pick one up soon....
The great thing in clips like these is the chemistry between the 2 people. Their ability goes without saying. The 'talk-time' is just as important as the 'playing-time'. Bears re-watching. Great content. Great pedals. Thanks for uploading.
Oh my god the built in expression pedal is the coolest thing i've seen in a while! Congratulations TC you did it again ;)
Loved this video, love how stoked both Tore and Pete is while doing this video, makes me stoked too! 😀
TC are pioneers, the MASH feature is just another step forward.
Pete is my favourite guitarist of all time ever
The new pedals are class. The boys on That Pedal Show gave them a great going over!
Hey it's the dude
don't piss on his rug
You're obviously not a golfer... :)
Don’t play The Eagles around him
The color of Pete's Telecaster has really grown on me! At first I didn't care too much for it, but now finding myself wishing I had it! Sounds great too.
mere-exposure effect
They should release a mash switch as a plug-out device that would act like an expression pedal. Maybe the size of a MXR Tap.
Stefan Seidler They should do the same thing as a volume pedal!
So you could set swells, and not take up 3 pedals worth of space. :)
the hof apparently has a swell effect as toneprint (they maybe even show it, haven't watched the entire video yet) but the idea of the mash on it's own is quite interesting
Yes that would be so good!
yes! TC please do this!
One that would work in Bluetooth !!!! :)
Danish Pete and danish Jesus
I love the tc digital pedals, and I bought almost all of the range (helix, viscous vibe, pipeline, quintessence, dark matter (analog), wiretap, polytune). Go Tore. Awesome DSP stuff, industry-leading.
I never was a pedal guy. I bought my TC G-Major (the first edition, in fact I tested it for a magazine and made my decision to buy it) when it came out and was always (and still am) very happy with it.
Two years ago I bought a fuzz a friend modified, then a loop pedal, two weeks ago a boost - and now I am seeing this and I really think I will have to buy just a few pedals more.
Thanks for that, you Danes!
Gotta love a bit of Tore!
Shouldve shot the whole thing in danish and add subs
Danish pastry.
Every once in a while, a company comes up with a genius idea that's a game changer. I think this is one of those times. Now EVERY pedal on your board could have an expression function that makes it more musical to use. Someone give Tore a hug for just being a part of this!
+Peter Honoré Showing some love for your mention of that video; remember, most of us know that bad gigs are a fact of life.
As always, amazing stuff from the guys at TC.
But man!! Where are Pete´s Toneprints??
Holy smoke! I want to open a campain for this!
We want Pete´s toneprints!! ( and also avaliable for mi Mini couple of Flashback/HoF )
Even both were Danish, like Lego, the Mermaid, Dali Speakers, and Michael Laudrup!! :D
You guys are great!
I think half my pedal board is TC. Polytune, HOF2, Spark, Ditto X2 - Such sturdy, well-built and versatile pedals, love them!
TC make great pedals--I've got several (ditto, mojomojo, dark matter, polytune mini). The only thing preventing me form buying a flashback is the lack of a digital readout allowing me to dial in a specific delay time. I realize that's a feature for more expensive pedals, but perhaps they can consider putting graduated tick marks around the delay time knob to help folks dial in specific times. They don't even need to be labeled, because someone might want to assign specific delay times to specific tick marks using the editor.
Matthew Wund Well, if you design your own tone print the precise time should be there. Every time you enter that tone print you'll have that tempo. The original pedals have a hold to "tap" tempo. And normally that should do for live purposes.
Other than that you should look at rack mount units that have a sync function. Then you can sync to a click track.
I always used the expression pedal on my dl4. It was great to be able to fade from delay psychedelia to clean and organized delay and back again
Am on holiday in sunny Spain at the moment, and have laid down for my now customary afternoon siesta and put this video on; dangerous - Tor's noodling at the beginning nearly sent me to sleep!
More Tore! Just great, man. cheers!
When I had my Flashback X4, I used an expression pedal to do the same kind of delay vibe that Steve Morse does :)
I'm not saying I'm Steve Morse, but I brought the delay back and took it away with it.
Also had another patch so that the delay that I had going would go on for forever when the pedal was toe down. That was so much fun, too bad I had to sell it :(
Honestly, I've never really been a fan of tremolo, but that pipeline pedal just warmed me up to it. Im thinking of buying it. Thanks for the in-depth review, I really enjoyed it.
That tele is stunning!
This guy 🙌🏻 uses an expression every time I play, it never leaves my board
Omg; these are lovely sounding pedals. Want them all!
4:09 Please TC, if you're reading this... here's a product you could build and release that would solve this problem for a lot of people. Build a little box with midi in, two expression pedal in and a shit ton of CV out (such 16 out at least). Have 3 or 4 switches to select banks and/or expression per presets.
Make it in a way that depending on the presets, each of the expression pedals can send a different control on each CV Out. By doing so, we could only have one or two expression pedals on a pedalboard, but still control a ton of other pedal depending on the presets (that could be recalled by another midi controller, or select on the fly with the switches). And also we could control multiple pedal in the same time... like the Source Audio Expression pedal... but with 16 Outs.
Most of the time, the switcher such Boss ES-5/ES-8, TheGigRig, or RJM MasterMind PBC, etc... only have a couple of outs to control a couple of amps and couple of pedal... that's it! This product would be a way to control more. Because we don't need 16 expression pedals to control 16 pedals in the same time... but having a way to control all of them from the same couple of expression pedals, then it would be useful... because for one preset the expression could be use to control the gain a distortion pedal, and then on the next preset it would control the wet/dry on a reverb pedal, etc... That would be useful!
Love my hall of fame. Going to buy a flashback 2 ASAP!
So Tore can give our Pete a run for his money in the tasty licks and phrasing stakes?! Who knew! Get that man in more videos!
Hall of Fame Mini with Mash next please! Also a little toneprint storing switch 2 or 3 storage spots would be cool.
I finally picked up a TC HoF Reverb and Boss CS3... they are the first pedals I've ever owned and really used. What a difference they make! Now I've been bit by the pedal bug. Trying to find a good crunch, classic rock pedal that sounds good and doesn't cost a fortune.
These Danes are great. My favourite is Michael Pagaard from T-Rex. C'mon Lee, Pete you have to invite him back soon. Perhaps a session just with Pete, Michael and Tore playing guitar, speaking in Danish and drinking Gammel Dansk. I'd watch it and I can't even speak Danish.
Tore speaking about the footswitches got me. I bought a brand new MojoMojo overdrive last July and 4 months later the switch started sticking. It was not some 'old' problem. If those pedals are still in circulation, the problem will always be around.
TC's suggestion for a fix was to buy another pedal. It was their mistake, they should swap out their defective product with no argument.
I have 3 TC Electronic pedals but it's hard to fully trust that they won't crap out on a live situation. Once bitten, twice shy.
Pete and Tore should have a gear and guitar show...more like a guitar playing extravaganza.
Awesome demo and pedal update!
I have to say, the guys at TC Electronic are geniuses. Yeah, people apply new features etc, but they're so often just another well-known thing added to another pedal. These guys really innovate, they create new things. They just revolutionize pedal world all the time. Brilliant people.
Also, can you get the tap tempo on flashback tone prints? Like the tremolo has it, but what if I just want the tap tempo ability (one of the most important features playing live) in the pedal? That's a really dividing thing between the 1 and 2 if you can't get tap tempo at all. The mash is great but tap tempo is also such an essential thing.
Pete: "I love that you guys actually listen to what people have to say"
Me: Or really? In that case, how about you FIX THE ANDROID TONEPRINT APP like people in the Play Store have been crying out for, Tore?! Thanks! ;)
Fraggle get an iphone dork
@@Ottophil Name calling over a phone? I can't tell if you're a kid who's bored out their skull during lockdown, or, by your choice of "dork" you're a sad 40 something year old man. Hilarious either way.
Fraggle only kids and 40 year olds watch fraggle rock dork
26:00 I believe the term you guys were looking for is "acceleration"
Fora challenge video, you guys should test " Good wood vs Good pickups" where you take the most expensive fender or gibson and the cheapest fender or gibson and swap the pickups. Basically, a custom shop american with chinese pickups vs the opposite. I think you get the point.
Im sure thats a labor intensive video due to the set up, but id be interested which sounds better.
Problem is, it would render the guitars unsaleable, voiding the warranty.
gilmour with that Flashback 2 would be so epic
I personally have not used an expression input for delays or reverbs, but have for my MoogerFooger Low Pass Filter for cutoff 😎
I only use an external expression knob to control certain features on my Line6 M5. On that note, I'd love to see a TC Electronic multi effect pedal with Tone Print editing on every preset. 😉😉
Christmas will be fun!!!!
I've had a hall of fame for awhile but I bought a flashback like right before these were announced!
Oh man, that MASH feature thing on the T2 would be awesome
T2...2?
Very cool to build expression into the switch. Hopefully it will stand the test of time. Being a keyboardist that is diving into stereo guitar effect pedals on my new (classic) Hohner Pianet I'm digging my Flashback X4 and looking at getting a HOF Reverb with Mash technology. Of course as a keyboardist, I'm very used to expression pedals especially on my old analog machines that aren't velocity or after touch to give them more expression, so I like having the expression input option. Great to have the Mash on the standard pedals, just don't lose the expression input on your bigger pedals please!
one of the best Andertons reviews!
These pedals sound (and look) amazing. Definitely have to try one out.
Has TC ever considered launching a tiny expression pedal based on this mesh sensor? That would solve the incompatibility between the main pedal size and the expression pedal size. You could even design a small "multi-expression" pedal with 4 of these cells.
Watching this basically just for Pete's reactions :D Awesome.
It'll be interesting to give one of those pedals with the funky switch a go... and who knew a purple Telecaster would look so good!
I've always wanted to use an expression pedal, but I never did... until I got Helix and I use the pedal all the time for a myriad of functions.
i actually bought an expression pedal for my flashback x4 .. used it live one time :P so yeah, expression pedal has been stored away in a bag somewhere for two years now :D
This a vast improvement on previous vids.....keep up the good work
Flashback and Viscous Vibe ordered, I 'kin love TC Electronic pedals! The wife thinks Tore is lush.
For every chord they stroke, a new fjord was born
What is Pete’s favorite plectrum? I couldn’t tell from the brief view.
If tc can lower the price here in my country a little bit, i could buy more tc pedal. They are all made here in Thailand after all!!
Jokes aside, tc pedals sounds great. I have two now, and a couple more on my plan. Good jobs!
Got to love great Danes ;)
yes finally a tap tempo input, thank you tc
38 mins in...and we are FINALLY at the tremolo!!
Great video. Since the Pipeline has two independent tremolos and the toneprint editor, I wonder if this pedal can be set up as a true harmonic tremolo unit?
Ha ha 1:09 the dude looks genuinely pleased as punch (not sure if it was what he just did with the pedal control, or if the guitarist farted & he was trying not to laugh)
Det er nok det bedste review jeg har set længe. Pete du er for fed xD xD
Vi skal have Andertons i Danmark så vi ikke er bundet til 4sound!!!
Please TC make programmable EQ pedal that can be either multi-band or parametric. And make toggle rather than on/off so one can toggle from rhythm setting to lead settings.
Tor, the Purple Rain chord you're thinking of is correct. Prince didn't play that one, Wendy did 👍
The mash switch it's a great idea
32:33 mash is dope
Oh god it's 4 AM and I'm only 20 minutes in!
It’s true, no one uses expression pedals on their independent effects, it takes too much room. Mash feature is cool
The accent gets thicker when you're around your kinsmen, lol. I do the same thing.
Tore sounds more Canadian than Danish :D Also Pete, was it weird talking english with Tore? I know it's hella odd talking english with other Finnish people. (as I'm Finnish)
Jukka Pesonen they're Danish not Finnish, just saying
Yeah, I know. I'm Finnish and I was telling my own experience. He's called Danish Pete for a reason.
Talk about missing the point, jesus.
PD51 Yeah, I'm Finnish so what do I know :D
People sound differently to different people. That's kind of the point. A Canadian listening to Tore will hear it different then the Finnish guy.
Fellow Danes UNITE!
I was ready to crack up when he said we built in like in a real tape machine - that it breaks down catastrophically every other year, but alas they're not comedians, they're super good presenters. real interesting and i feel the urge to go shopping online.
Cab clone! Those were good times.
We are sure Pete thinks that as well.... NOT :-)
Ooh burn! ;-)
Aghhhhh sounds SO good!!
Tc has the most gimici ideas but in the end they are super useful
The Mashed switch is genius...
Hi guys.
I really liked this promo.
What would make these vids get even more hits would be if you either added some timestamps next to each item in the 'details' section, or if you split the video, as I'm sure there are some of us finnicky guitarists who prefer one out of the three pedals and don't wish (or have time) to watch the whole hour.
I hope this was constructive and helps.
+Peter Honoré Castles Made of Sand!!
Miss Tore with TC but he's now with UA I think.
Double Danes, Double Denim.
I want that guitar!
And wierd seeing two danes talking english with eachother. :)
Some good stuff here, though I'll wait for a revamped Nova System( til then the old one is superb value).
If I can’t afford a reverb pedal AND volume pedal, would this pedal do swells well for praise and worship?
cant wait to try the new tc mash series i am a pedal freak the only company that i know who is doing this expression with switch thing is alexander pedals from which i own skyfi but these switches seems to have more control i am an international looping artist experimental guitarist and a sound designer from pakistan so i am always looking for opr=tions to make more weird sounds what i really liked in some other demo about these pedals that they behave differently according to the effect change so the expression has more variations i suppose which is great, one thing i always see in demos although these are fine guitar players but somehow people play normal guitar and not according to what a pedal or that effect can do and go to what experimental length i want to see the experimental guitarist playing with such a versatile experimental pedals, not everyone is in a band :) but some sound designs etc show us what it can do with a drum machine or a synth too i am an electronic junkie so i experiment with everything and these new thinking by TCE is going in the right direction but we need more progressive demos no disrespect to anyone and regular rob chapman captain bea pete fans they are great players but we need to see these freaky gems under the feet of some crazy people
When are the mini HOF2 and mini FB2 coming? What other pedals are going to get mash? Certainly a roto-vibe, right?
I had the BOSS DD-7 and the BOSS RV-6 and I never used the expression pedal inputs
Can't wait to get them within a week!
No Gammel Dansk?! Or John Mogensen songs?!
Very clever that switch :)
How do you use the expression function without turning the pedal off? It doesn't make sense but TC somehow made it work
