Boy what would I give to shoot a video and put it together in Final Cut Pro X and then have it look the way that I had envisioned it.
A clean professional look that makes me feel proud to put it out there for the world to see.
It can be frustrating when the video looks muddy and not cinematic.
I'm no stranger to muddy looking video and that was me cutting my teeth in videography in 2007.
No matter what I did I didn't get any closer to getting a cinematic look until I discovered color grading.
By the next year people began to take notice and I landed in a career traveling to far away places.
I was hired based on my ability to shoot and bring back cinematic looking video.
I know color grading can seem like a special or advanced skillset...
...but it doesn't have to be.
Just like with anything else it helps to have the right guide and mentor to save you time.
This is that video and by the end you'll have a good understanding of what to do to get a clean professional look that makes you feel proud of your video.

Not a single person on UA-cam explains it this clearly. I tried shooting in slog with my a7iv and had to stop bc I didn’t know how to properly color grade. Now I can get the full potential of my camera. Thank you so much and keep being great
