HUGE news for Quad Cortex, Update CorOS 2.1.0, Desktop Editor & More! NAMM 2023

- Neural DSP have just announced that Cortex Control, the desktop editor for the Quad Cortex, is in its beta testing phase, as well as CorOS 2.1.0 - featuring UI updates, new amp models including Victory Kraken, and Matchless amps, and updates to Cab sims, IR loaders and more! An update that will please many QC owners, and help prevent the QC falling behind its competitors such as the Line 6 Helix, AxeFX, and Headrush.
Really excited about the DC30s. Was hoping they would have those sooner.
Haven’t messed with the new IR loader that was added after 2.0, but I have a bunch of Celestion IRs I’ve been wanting to try out again now that you don’t need to load them the weird workaround way
I’m looking forward to the matchless amps too. The DC30 model in the Helix was one of my favourites, so it’s nice to see that coming to the QC!
I think a lot of people will appreciate the lite IR loader too!
I love the quad. Anything added is just a plus. I’ve owned the Kemper and helix and sorry they don’t feel like an amp. Endless tweaking and still never happy. Got the quad and it feels like an amp and sounds great imo.
I feel the same regarding the Quad - I would be quite content with the Quad if it never received another update. However, I can see why people do get frustrated regarding the promise of the desktop editor and implementation of the plugins.
I’m still a big Helix fan, but the QC is a cut above the rest in my opinion.
@@DomHawthorn I agree tonally, the only reason the hx is still under my desk is because I never have any issues with it due to the time it's had to work out kinks.
QC gives me a bit of trouble running through DAWs and I'm not as familiar with the input routing so it feels a bit clunky. Regardless I think it sounds great and the availability of models is cool af
