I knew him from Angra for many years but I relatively recently discovered his solo stuff and DAMN, everything from jazzy, funky, fusiony stuff from the earlier records to more proggy stuff from the latest album is extremely tasteful & measured and he has insane chops on top of that! I'm seriously worries it won't be as good as the plugins.. at least the amps that are not the plugins you purchase and load into it. I am hoping and I am really looking forward to it but we need more sound samples.
Timo is one the top players in Finland. He has a solo project called ”Ihana Leijona”. open.spotify.com/artist/414IWJ2jio7BXuWOuKouO2?si=0Haxz47XR-qxAGS9bro7JA
Check out Ihana Leijona, his alter-ego and also his solo album Pulpae. For this kinda folk progressive rock type of thing I highly recommend Juha Kujanpää's albums on which Timo is featured.
Timo is such a master of tone and so many styles of guitar playing! You can get a glimpse of his variety if you search for his pedal board demo in youtube "Timo Kämäräinen with Custom Boards pedalboard (in English)". He plays in variety of Finnish bands but mainly "Olavi Uusivirta" and his own "Ihana Leijona". I'd also recommend his live studio take "Loista vain livenä studiossa" if you are not afraid of finnish singing :D
listening through studio monitors, this is the most impressive modeler/profiler i've ever heard. It's no longer a question of "is it good enough to get by with". I'm finally sold on both the concept and the implementation.
Great tones and players all around , nice array of lead tones , cleans , edge of breakup and some cool fx , it a killer unit so stoked for this , Nice work Neural
Sounds stellar! And so fun to see Timo again! Did a clinic with him in Helsinki years ago back when we were both Flaxwood endorsees, good times :)

@@idanshahar Well they sure are promising the moon. Lets see if it lives up to the hype. Every Digital rig that comes out promises its the best. It will have the most DSP of anything out there...until winter NAMM when someone else announces something bigger and better.
I love Neural DSP plugins and the sounds from the Cortex sound really good! I was really going back and forth between a Helix and Headrush but this is a serious contender as well.
For me the most important thing will be how it FEELS. What I love about my Kemper is the way it feels to play compared to a Helix. I don't really know what determines that but I don't think you can hear it.
Very nice sounding! Will there by any chance be a video, were bassists are trying different sounds and styles? Would really love to see something like this :)
@The Wolverine I heard demos and reviews of the AXE III. Can’t feel this kind of “organic” or “living” sound at all. And well, they could have done much more advance with the UI. But they didn’t (and the price was/is ridicoulous compared to it competition). The Headrush was better with the UI area, but the Quad Cortex takes it to a whole another level (both: sound quality and user interface). Is like it is stolen from the future!
I think this is a an interesting video. Nice players and good stuff. Not the best video in terms of sound quality but we're waiting this amazing piece of gear.... Thanks for sharing
Just "Kiko" takes backseat to nobody. His styles are all Kiko. His hunger to be better (notice I didn't say 'be the best) does not waver. Like all of us we strive to be the best WE can be without better than or sounds like. Just "Kiko" is a huge influence on anyone who listens and represents his homeland very well. Thank you Kiko for being "Just Kiko" playing to your own drum beat. As far as I can tell Kiko is doing quite well and stands behind no guitarist. He spreads love wherever he goes. Just a real cool dude!
The Reverbs and and Delays are superb. Don't you hear this? I thought I was only after the capture function but I instantly thought the amp sounds are not bad. Not bad at least.
Man!! So awesome. I plan on getting one. Just recently in the past few months I got all the basic PC equipment I need to start recording music. Then I was thinking about what amp and few pedals I should get for my tones. But then I come across Neaural DSP and am just blown away. I literally had no idea what a plug in was until I heard of Neaural DSP and the Plini Archetype. Its such a mystery to me how this stuff works but it does and I'm glad.
