    Great teamwork. Awesome tractor. I have both a 3000 gasser and a 3600 3 cyl diesel, going to be double checking your videos once or twice.

    I just put a new clutch in my 3930, in my garage with a concrete floor. I used a shop crane and a floor jack. When I tightened down the pressure plate, I tightened each bolt just a little at a time in a criss cross pattern. I torqued it after all the bolts bottomed out. I easily pulled out the alignment tool with one hand. I use 8" bolts on the bell housing as a guide to put it back together. The smooth floor made it go back together pretty easy. I bought my clutch from 'KY Clutch' great parts and prices, they also resurface my flywheel. Thanks for the video.

    Best video I’ve seen on clutch and splitting. My 5000 has stuck clutch and some water leaking from where front front bolts to bell housing. I now have the inspiration to get same job done as you did cos I can’t see how to find an inspection plate to free clutch from flywheel. Thanks heaps.

    Nice film,you did a good job.
    I missed some thinks that i usely do .
    2 pice of wood put it left and right by the front axle between the axle and the front of the tractor so that the tractor can 't move .
    And the second thing i missed or i didn't see,put some spray on the axle that Into the clutch.
    But it can be you do this but its not on the film.
    I see its a lottle of work and you al did it good,wel done.

      Thanks for the compliments. We did block the tires after rolling it forward and also blocked the rears. I didn’t spray anything on the input shaft, I didn’t really see a need to. Thanks for watching.

    Wow. A $3 seal and a pile of time and effort 👌

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  Рік тому +1

      Yep, but it’ll last for another 35 years now at least. Thanks for watching.

      @@AutomedicGarage yep. Its amazing what a small cheap part can do. if only they never went bad you could avoid all that work. We have a flooded 2019 tractor with less than 60 hrs and they are splitting to replace rusted/seized clutch. Way worse that a seal but this job was too big for me and my dad doesnt know anything like yours lol. Curious how much the resurfacing cost? Congrats! 🤙

    did it have gasket between the engine and the plate? manual I have is so incomplete, the cork gasket seems so thick, there is no groove for it and creates a gap, just went through a 70 4000 completely paint and all what a job

    What do you set the clutch free play at on a 4610. I just recently bought one

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  3 роки тому +2

      I’ve always set my 6610, 4610 and 4000 where you depress the pedal around halfway to begin engaging the clutch.

    was there a gasket where the tractor was split? im about to do the same job to my 4610 great videos. and is the alignment tool needed?

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  16 днів тому

      @@Patricia-jt6bs no gasket and the alignment tool is pretty important for lining the clutch disc up in the center for the transmission input shaft to line up correctly.

      Ok I had 2 different parts off, the PTO shaft which I replaced that seal and the input shaft which I replaced the seal in also. But I only replaced the inner most, I couldnt get my hands on the outermost after yesterdaytractors.com sent me the wrong seals and I had to go to my local New Holland dealer which only had the inner.
