@@laugyt Yes, complimenting the rather unique and elaborate toilet door system and the extensive use of gunite/shotcrete INDOORS is what made me think, "They've got to be joking".
Nah, I think you guys misunderstand exactly why he's going on about it.
He used to flip/build himself and he's admiring what they did over the years creativity wise for a much smaller budget than most of the homes he tours.
And I think arvid would agree.
Where he tears into these other tours is when the home goes for 10's of millions and is either terrible quality, or relatively cramped, improperly laid out, etc.
I think he would appreciate this house for what it is as well.
I find myself watching more Arvin than Enes these days. Enes now seems he's selling for HSN/QVC.

This home feels like many things and I think that’s what makes it beautiful. It feels like you’re in some other planet, the next minute it feels like a nice getaway place/hideout and it also has a homey feel to it.
I like how Cody brings up little but necessary details
In geotechnical engineering, a caisson is a watertight retaining structure used, for example, to work on the foundations of a bridge pier, for the construction of a concrete dam, or for the repair of ships. Caissons are constructed in such a way that the water can be pumped out, keeping the work environment dry.
That sink was truly amazing with the separate hot and cold water and even a manual drain plug!

Enes, this house feels like a vacation home for people enjoying glamping, from time to time. 😊
The house is a good one!
Those concrete columns can carry a skyscraper. Quite the overkill for a very light wooden upper structure. The price is overkill too. It's quirky but not 2.3. The views saves it a little but only a little.
You could probably redo similar in much finer execution for less.
I would paint the downstairs bedroom black and make it into a real batcave. Everything would be batman.

Despite awkward architectural, On bright side though... Geodesic House (which typical like this) are built to be more hurricane proof and bit more earthquake resistant, Earthquake risk was a thing in LA though, that would be an edge compared to other houses which is 'boxy' and being so common.

Nah, I think he'd appreciate it for what it is, not judge it for what it's not.
It's an inexpensive house built before many of the commentors were born, and done to satisfy artistic needs, not some superficial status though that goes for 10's of millions of dollars, yet can't function as a home because it wasn't meant to actually function, only impress.
If I had to guess, he'd appreciate it, not to it sorry because it's waaayyy overpriced and under functioned.

Holy moly a house I've actually been to! Lol this artists out this house on Airbnb for like a month and my sister and I were I think his second guests. It was amazing to "live" in for a few days for sure.
Gunite is a specific type of concrete, a blend of cement, sand, and water, and it's sprayed through a hose. The dry mix of cement and sand is mixed with water as it's being applied.

Things that what i like about this house is that green lush backyard and skyview deck on main bedroom, Architecture is unique tho despite using bit more fragile materials, for 2,3 m is not as bad as some the other houses price range.
I wouldn't want to live in LA even if I had the money for it, but this is undoubtedly a cool abode! The geodesic dome looks almost like a UFO or base on the Moon or Mars.

To make this house more comfortable, cozy and welcoming I would give it a Greek/Mediterranean pattern. Paint the dark walls with a gentle white and especially this strange green, which turns this place somehow 'small', but leave the grayish rock wall of the hill, as it gives the house a cozy cave feeling. Some door and window frames would look nicer painted in a not too dark blue, including the garage door. The garden should be turned into a cozy park and you don't need to remove plants for that but tiles and additional plants can do a lot here. The strange tent could be replaced by a cozy pool or an open tent, otherwise it literally eats place etc. Views, also towards plants, 🏝️ 🏝️ shouldn't be blocked unnecessarily. Don't block views or light. A cozy open fireplace would also be nice in the park, surrounded by a lounge area for example.

I had to Stop at 16:27 to point to the beams all pulling away from the support posts near the ceilings of the 1st floor.,Under which you see are All showing a rust band where the layers were added, to the original footings.The Concrete has settled as the steel rusted away as moisture went through the columns just below the floors for the 1st.YIKES.Sorry Enes.This isn't safe in any quake,let alone 10 years.In my opinion.Lets hear from others.

This is the ugliest house plan that I have seen in my entire life. First of all, the public space is not separated from the private space, but in fact there is no private space at all. Imagine you are with your wife and you have a child, that child can easily see everything that happens between you and your wife, secondly, think that the guest has entered your house, has a direct view of your bedroom, and passes through your room to access the upper floor!
