Dive into an in-depth reaction to Enes Yilmazer’s mansion tour of a staggering $139M property nestled in the heart of Bel Air, Los Angeles. While Enes Yilmazer, with his keen eye for luxury and detail, offers viewers an unparalleled glimpse into this architectural marvel, there remains a story untold, one of lingering questions and hidden flaws that may just be the key to its puzzling status on the market. Despite spending over two years since completion without a buyer, and enduring over 400 days listed on the MLS, Enes Yilmazer's mansion tour presents this property in all its glory, yet it’s these very imperfections that we delve into today.
Reacting to Enes Yilmazer’s mansion tour, I aim to shed light on aspects that Enes Yilmazer might not have focused on-specifically, the potential flaws and drawbacks that could deter prospective buyers. While Enes Yilmazer leads us through this magnificent Bel Air mansion, his mansion tours often celebrate the splendor without delving into the challenges that such grandiose properties might face.
In this video, we revisit the mansion tour by Enes Yilmazer, taking a critical eye to what is shown and, more importantly, what is not. The property, though bathed in luxury, from its sweeping vistas to its opulent interiors, might also be grappling with issues beneath its surface sheen-issues like impractical design choices, potential maintenance nightmares, or perhaps a disconnect with the modern buyer’s needs. These hidden flaws, undiscussed by Enes Yilmazer in his mansion tours, could very well be contributing factors to why this jewel in Bel Air has yet to find its match.
Moreover, while Enes Yilmazer’s mansion tour provides a dream-like view of the property, we tackle the looming concern of financial trouble hinted at by its prolonged presence on the market and substantial debt. This mansion, despite the allure showcased in Enes Yilmazer's mansion tours, sits at a crossroads of unparalleled luxury and questionable fiscal footing.
Join me as we go beyond Enes Yilmazer’s mansion tour narrative, juxtaposing the awe-inspiring aspects with a more grounded analysis of potential flaws and economic realities. This reaction is not just a critique but an exploration into why this Bel Air mansion, a subject of Enes Yilmazer's mansion tours, remains unsold. Through this video, we aim to provide a fuller picture, acknowledging both the brilliance that Enes Yilmazer captures and the complex tapestry of factors influencing the mansion’s fate.

I agree. Mikey was more than 50 percent of Enes' videos. He was so much more than the cameraman. But I doubt he'll be back. I kind of got the idea that Mikey and Enes had more than a business relationship and that pairing probably went boom!
i think they may have been lovers. they toured an 80,000,000 dollars 1990s house in Missouri and mickey mentioned that they WERE ROOMMATES. huhhhh???
Im pretty sure Enes is Straight …. enes naming the rooms and then drooling over the finishes gets old really quick ….but Micky says some funny stuff that ur inner child would say…. He really grounded the videos … made them more human and fun
I agree Enes is straight. I believe they were friends.
@@DORSEYLANDRIA lol Just because they are touring pricey homes doesn't mean they can afford those homes themselves. California is very expensive to live, so it made sense for them to cohabitate with one another while they were grinding, trying to establish themselves in L.A after moving from Texas. Logistically and budget wise, it just made sense.
@@DORSEYLANDRIA now men are gay if they are roommates? lol
Wow, this channel is not competition for Enes it is a great complement. The best of both worlds. We like Enes because of the details, the cinematography, and the exhaustiveness of his tours. He is perfect for visualizing events, families, and activities on the property. But you give us the truth and the scoop of all these properties, and it is just a match made in heaven. Please keep making these videos and also spill the tea about these properties. EXCELLENT!
Ya enes and I are like brothers separated at birth 😂…. Raised with completely different parents ….. JK…. Thanks for the support 🙏🏼❤️
this is a creep monetizing off ENES!
@@pamelaharrmann8420 Not really. When you do the gap analysis, you will notice that Enes' videos are too positive and lack a critical sense. That is why I look at this channel as complementary because it provides a realistic view with a critical lens. Moreover, the properties are well known for still being in the market and Arvin has been doing this for quite a while. In other words, you go to Enes to watch the play and you come to Arvin to find out what happened behind the curtain. Excellent one-two for us!
@@daweithisisdavidinmandarin6121 You've framed them perfectly for me. They are excellent counterpoints for each other.
This life..always balance. I always praise enes for his work..dint know you could do fault finding..wow...n make money at the same time
Glad someone mentioned how hideous the furniture is. It seems like they’re trying to gain a middle eastern buyer. Very Dubai.
They need to change that furniture asap
Folks from Dubai don't even like that furniture! I seen quite a few homes from there! It's modern
The fact that it's all branded is such a turn off for me
Or very Persian perhaps? Los Angeles is nicknamed "Tehrangeles" for a reason, I bet the builder of this home is Persian.
Just add water .
What I personally dislike about all these modern homes is that they look like either Dentist/Doctors/corporate offices than homes. Or Museums. It's not cozy as a home. It's just a show-off piece to flaunt.
Even if I was a Billionaire I would rather have a "cozy" giant log home mansion with big logs and stone and rooms designed to feel like a home. I am also not a person that would care to show off. I am more private. So why would I care about silly crap like overly done architecture that looks artificial.
I have to say … I personally prefer homes in 6000 to 8000 sqft regardless of my net worth
That is not a common theme among modern homes, its a common theme on POORLY DESIGNED modern homes. Check out architect Marcio Kogan, that is modern and COZY. These concepts aren't mutually exclusive. Unfortunately, some architect have absolute SHIT taste.
There is a reason why you are not a billionaire, because if those personality traits.
Saw the Old Fashioned guy 😅
Totally agree. If you want a resort vibe just go hang out at one.
I grew up in a huge, modern house slung off the side of a hill. While the view was spectacular, the property was no place to raise children. I’m lucky to be alive actually, as I rode my tricycle off a cliff one day. Other than scrapes and bruises I ended up alright, but I could have easily been killed. Children need a safe yard to play in.
100% …. Views get old … land has utility … view doesn’t
@@ArvinHaddadOfficialThey really don't, though. All my houses have had or made views, though they aren't luxury properties.
Shame on your maid/buttler/servant for failing to protect you and your tricycle. I'm sure they "disappered" for this oversight.
nepo baby
This place has all the warmth and charm of a mausoleum.
Hehehehe
👏👏👏😂😂😂😂😂
I found this video before running across your video, Im a retired appraiser, I obsess over what makes real estate valuable. I agree with you 100%. You made me so happy when you mentioned the acreage and frontage right out of the box. The water walls also in the driveway. WTF. Engineered acreage, no land, all house
"It looks like a man designed this kitchen who doesn't cook." OMG It does! 😂😂😂
Why do developers keep building these crazy houses if they can’t sell them?
They have small manhoods
Ego…
That gold lock furniture was hysterical!
Hahaha
The aesthetic choice here is a mix of airport lounge and bachelor pad.
Yes we can’t forget about THE ONE and 777 Sarbonne. Developers in Los Angeles are literally in La-La Land.😂
Yup 👍🏽
That's what LA means.
I love Enes but every property he showcases has a smaller probability of being sold. They either sell for a massive discount, go to auction or just stay flat on the market. I wish him and the team the best.
Ya many of them have not sold
I haven't heard of any property over 10 million that's sold for ask. The buyer pool for these are already small anyway so they're never going to fly off the shelf.
I think that just represents the superhigh end market at the moment....
yeah probably this is why they are paying the big bucks for him to boost their chances
@@tomriley5790 Yeah that "The One" that the builder said was gonna go for $500M listed for $250M ended up selling for $141M.
I´ll never get how developers can be so wrong about building houses, who in the world wants to live in a house that´s completely black? Maybe Batman would live in it, but no one else, where is the wood, where is the warm feeling, where are the colors? It´s like someone googled what depression looks like and went with the theme.
my theory is that they build it for their super ego who is still 25 years old
Yes and all the money these house cost and they NEVER have color flowers, trees etc. Just raggedy trees and a bunch of grey and black!
These homes are built as a way to create jobs. All the people that worked together to create this home would otherwise be out of work. You see, there’s really not that many people that can afford to build or live in and maintain a home like this. The Illuminati own all these homes. The people that will live in these homes, work for the Illuminati. The Illuminati use these homes to sell a dream and fantasy world to young people. When people have dreams they work harder and do a better job. All these homes will be used to throw extravagant parties that many people, young and old from all around the world will attend. It’s like a show that highlights American culture. Hence why they are called Illuminati, they get to choose who gets put in the spotlight as a famous person for good or bad reasons.
I do
@HoneyLove77 is the trees around not enough
Why not just turn it to a forest😡
You're all just making criticism without sense
$139 million for what should have been priced at $34,995,000. I think they just spent to much and tried to cram in square footage and then decided to shoot for the moon. Unrelated, I sat next to a woman in a coffee shop who owns a business that maintains those living walls across the city, she said business is booming!
as soon as i saw those living walls i said its going to be a fortune to maintain she is a genius lol
I have to say, my hackles were up when I first saw the thumbnail because it seems like you're mocking Enes, and their property walkthrough channel is one of my favorite things to watch on UA-cam. I was worried that you were hating on Enes himself, but after seeing that you're truly criticizing the architecture (and justifiably so) I feel so relieved. The front step was such a good point and I remember thinking the same thing when I saw this video. The Colorado Chateau V mansion they toured is my dream house, and while there were things I would change about it, I really hope there weren't any major architectural issues with it. 😅I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
People need to understand that Enes is TOURING houses, he’s not the owner or developer of these houses. I’ve been watching his channel since the beginning and I understand that his channel focuses on more unique and interesting houses. And in one of his videos he said that he quite being a realtor, so he is not selling but touring houses on UA-cam. If the house is not your taste or doesn’t sell, I don’t think you should blame Enes. Plus making a whole video about Enes house tours just so “ Mike can come back “ ! We don’t even know what happened between them, if they don’t want to address it they have the right. Plus, Enes’ channel is called: ENES YILMEZER, not Enes and Mike, in my knowledge. Ah, I’m exhausted 🥱
He helps get those houses sold, but he doesn’t own them and I don’t think he is even a realtor.
I agree 1000% ⬆️
Enes is paid to spin BS
He's probably even there by request, because many of the houses he's showcasing are a more "difficult" or overpriced property.
🙌🏼🙌🏼
I think it's super gawdy. Tacky even. No woman is going to like this house. I cannot believe how close the other house is. Yay !!! I wrote this before the end of the video where you basically said women won't like it. No .we won't.
Earthquakes and fires are those houses up there safe?
Thanks for the confirmation and the support Lauren 🙏🏼
This house is designed for Russian buyers. We like this Dubai style design full of sparkles, and this brand of furniture is very popular within wealthy Russians. And VODKA ROOM is a must for each Russian, lol
I see thanks for sharing…. Ya I don’t see Russian buyers in LA anymore
@@ArvinHaddadOfficialRich Russians now have the main task so that no one finds out that they are Russian😂
That vodka room would never be used , why do you need to drink vodka in freezing temps, along with the car elevator and all that dark stone a total money pit . Them banks are gonna be pissed
Agree with you about this house not being woman/wife or child friendly. I kept thinking how much I'd hate living in a place that cold and dark. And, I couldn't imagine having a kid there. 😮
It's time for your channel to explode. You've been making videos for years, but all of your videos only get around 500 views. I think this will change now. great videos.
Thank you been on the grind for a long time … with ur support hopefully we will get there
@@ArvinHaddadOfficial Stumbled across your channel, it's a very refreshing perspective on some of the overhyped properties. Lots of room for growth, keep going!
Enes has his niche, his job is to make money and give listings exposure and possibly help with a sale, while giving his audience a tour of these lavish homes from the comfort of their homes. He isn’t in the business of critiquing investment value or imparting investment advice. That’s not his lane. He doesn’t speak to prospective buyers, that’s the agents job. He speaks to his audience, ie people who do not have the propensity to buy. He can be forgiven for coming across as in awe of the properties, that’s part of the reason he gets access. With that said, good work. I like your lane too, and as a luxury realtor myself, my thought process watching this was similar. I could see exactly why it hadn’t sold, and the seller in the video too gave me vibes of remorse and how relieved he’d be to get this thing off his neck. A lot of times, people that think they’re building for the super rich and that they’re impulsive and they have no idea just how detail orientated and knowledgeable these people can be. They forget that these potential buyers already live in extraordinary homes and have very refined tastes, and a very good eye for where corners have been cut, what the average price per sq/ft in the neighbourhood is, what sold for how much, etc. most of the buyers I’ve come across are not at all impulsive, they’re very calculating, and they can smell blood, they’ll low ball, and they don’t care if they lose the deal. We don’t come across lottery winners and other varieties of idiot very often.
As a private residence this is absurd, especially for all the flaws and and asking price.
Turn it into a boutique luxury hotel, and you could maybe recoup any losses.
The zoning wouldn't allow it.
The only time you want a view of LA is at night. Why would anyone think that a thick cloud of smoke wafting over the city is a spectacular view.
I agree, especially now that LA is overrun by derelicts. Whoever thinks downtown LA is a nice view has questionable aesthetics to my mind.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the cliff side drop on the infinity pool. No way would i let my kids swim in that...
ya its not really child friendly if you ask me and a small backyard
It way too dark. This is for some Arabs….You’re totally right it looks like one of those houses out of Dubai that are styled with way too much gold and dark pieces🤮
Ya I haven’t seen American buyers gravitating towards these finishes
Glad you didn’t smack talk Enes. He’s awesome. And yeah, I’d like to see Mikey come back, if the vibe is the same.
Thanks for the support 🙏🏼
Hey Arvin, great video, I appreciate your honest reviews over Enes video itself! Could you however add in a couple of reasons for certain statements for the newbies in future vids. For example why certain designs are not ideal, etc. Greetings from Germany
Noted! And I will… it’s just like trends … it’s not popular with the population at the moment… sometimes it’s because it was done before and it’s played out and sometimes it’s because it doesn’t go with the vibe of the city

YES! That first step callout is 100% accurate. I see so many of these mansion tours with the absolute dumbest entry designs ever. Uneven step lengths, stepping stones over water/pebbles, etc. Why do these designers always want to inconvenience people on the way into their homes!?
I actually love this house! I love the furniture, I love the views, I love the finishings, I love the ballroom/garage/vodka room/wine cellar/5 jacuzzis! I like that this is unique and has character. Enough with the all white/beige sterile mansions!
Well put, $139 million mansion dont sit on the street, and dont have a small artificial backyard.
Exactly
I remember that 777 property was sold at auction to the guy that won the billion dollar power ball. He got a deal!
Good video!
I personally disagree regarding furniture and don’t care what’s “in” when buying things, but I get what you mean.
I’ve been following Enez for a couple years now, and noticed a certain “sell-out mode” the larger their channel got. They have dubious sponsors, get paid to present the estate AND have tons of ads. Triple income.
Interesting analysis from you!
Best wishes
Thanks for the support
16:40: The "formal dining area" appears to be so narrow that no one (another guest who needs to get up, a server, whomever) could pass behind you when you are seated on either side. I'm a bit surprised by the lack of comment about this.
I love these videos, very insightful. You are on to something here. Keep it up..
Glad you like them! Thanks for the support soul
OMG. I’ve been watching Enes’ videos for a couple years and I thought while watching nearly every video that the houses are way over priced and totally poorly designed/furnished. I’m SO GLAD YT served your channel up to me. I’m definitely subscribing. Enes’ channel lost a lot of character by losing Mikey and the homes (and yachts) he’s showing these days are SO FREAKING gaudi. I recently looked on Zillow to see if some of his prominent houses ever sold….the ones that did sold for WAY WAY less than advertised….I’m going to watch every one of your videos. And I hope you get the audience he has because your perspective does a great job balancing what Enes claims on his channel.
I love the way Enes presents. Quality work 🔥
Mikey is his best cameraman
Arvin, this same developer came out with $72 million 9330 Flicker Way estate which is languishing on the market. Do that one.

Please do 9330 flicker way
I think like you said. Ennis is being paid by the developer?
@@JohnThomas-gr5tk I think he gets paid on some of them but not all

This channel is such a refreshing contrast to the subservient gushing that Enes (and other selling agents) do on their channels.
And even though 98% of the channel viewers are never going to buy a property like this, it still… teaches us a lot about design and decorating trade offs, room location and house layout considerations, as well as practical risk analysis (water damage, fire), areas (or lack thereof) for kids to play, or moderate sized parties.
All of which are applicable to the $1m - $2m property range, which is realistically what a fairly large fraction of youtube viewers are able to afford.
Thanks 🙏🏼

If you're all about its flaws then try making yours
I always wonder how many cleaners necessary full time. 😂😂😂🇬🇧
I agree with you on pretty much everything BUT when you have an expansive house like that you kind of want your family room a little more cozy for when you actually do spend time together. There’s so many other places to escape in the house otherwise.
Thanks for sharing … but this house doesn’t scream family to me
Completely agree, Arvin. Between the lack of privacy and frontage, the overall look being modern dated, being situated in between 1100 Bel Air Road, a lingering construction site, and 1250 Bel Air Road, this property is ridiculously overpriced. Will trade for between $65M and $75M. It is mind-boggling why established well-known agents keep taking on this listing at such a ridiculous price.
Please make some videos of Aaron Kirman’s bad attire 😂😂

Agreed. The colour choices are hideous for a property this expensive.
That interior is awful they need to start again
They need to market this property in Dubai. No American wants this heavy, dark, brown decor with gold inserts.
Excellent Video! One of your best ever, if not your very best. Very, very informative. I like your serious tone. Not jokey - you come across very knowledgeable and authoritative. And I like how you don't just point out the flaws in the property; you compliment the things that the developer has done right. Like you say, "the good, the bad, and the ugly". This video is "must watch" viewing for anyone looking to purchase a new home. Thanks Arvin. RC
Thanks for the feed back
I watch Enez religiously. I remember this property .. so expensive, yet so scary on the hillside
The ceiling heights are enough for me to walk, never mind the color palette, decor, furnishings, and UAE-inspired garb.
It’s really bad … I’m surprised they haven’t dropped the price
@@ArvinHaddadOfficial yes, it's terrible. Maybe they're waiting for someone to toss in an offer that exceeds the walkway line. That project has to be a PIA to the developer to just let it sit there.
It is so nice to see somebody like-minded on Enes presentation.
I often sit with my wife and watch the really well done videos. Sometimes we love the houses shown but often we would nearly fall off our sofa of laughter and shout at the tv for the poor choices project companies took for building or staging hyper-expensive houses. And this one here is no exception. We had many sensational houses on his channel. But like I wrote in his comments - Within the timeframe when Mikey "was removed", the quality of the houses was rapidly depreciating. The latest video with the new videographer is painful to watch. Second hand embarrassment. And I get that the "new" guy wants to keep his "new" job. But does it really help Enes videos to have a timid lickspittling claqueur by his side rather than a witty counterpart?
At last - why do most realtors in Enes' videos (or Producer Michaels', or Ryans') look and sound like pimps?
Hahahaha they do … thanks for the support
Brilliant, brilliant video, Arvin. I've learned so much from watching your channel that I had a lot of the same thoughts you did, but you expressed them much better than I could have. I was laughing out loud at a lot of your comments. First time I saw this house reviewed by Enes, I thought it was repugnant. I'm a straight guy, but I thought this was over the top, but I couldn't figure out exactly why. I remember thinking, "$139 million? It seems overpriced at $50 million!" And then you said maybe $50 million! I also noticed the improved lighting you have on yourself. Nicely done.
Thanks stan for always backing the channel
Those custom dining chairs were giving baby toddler bling 2002 🤔
The decor looks like a throwback to the 80’s. These homes look like old office suites. Crazy.
I hope I will never encounter a hater like this man.
As long as you have decent furniture in your house, you'll be just fine... he won't bother you. 🤣
The hate is real…..everything he’s saying about the furniture is subjective. People may not like his taste as well but hey…it’s not very LA according to him 🤣🤣🤣
🤣 bro i literally said how did this guy make a channel just to shit on other people's channels
He's a complete hater and for some reason I'm right here for the tea, I love it 😂
I really enjoy his videos and I'm subscribed to his channel, but I have to say I have seen a few of your videos and I'm generally 100% in agreement with you. Thus, I've subscribed
the problem is with the property, not with the channel host. y so personal?
What happens to houses that don't sell, even at auction?
I just came across this content. Really like Arvin. I like Enes too. I kept thinking Vegas when he was showing the furniture but as soon as Arvin showed the business class seat on the airplane I was yelling, "Yes, Yes, that's it!" at TV. LOL
Just stumbled on this channel and I'm hooked . I love Enes , but sometimes he glosses over glaring flaws. Also #BringBackMikey

Enis lost me after Mikey left. His videos are lower quality. He still has not addressed his absence.
On the contrary they are better now.
Mikey was funny … he would say what my inner child would say … he grounded the channel and balanced how serious enes is
@@ArvinHaddadOfficial couldn't agree miss. I am really enjoying this channel.
I m really liking your channel. I also watch Enes house tours a lot. I m enjoying both your videos. God bless you both.
I was absolutely shocked! The furniture looks like if your wife or lady friend has skin showing she's going to cut herself on the buckles alone. Looks uncomfortable---office lounge. Kitchen, not even a show kitchen or a prep kitchen next to it. That was a small pantry in comparison. There is a catering kitchen and that doesn't look any better. The design details are way too specific for any buyer. The backyard is asking for trouble. Balls! Balls! and more Balls! The kids have no place to play safely...and will lose balls over the edge. God forbid if you have a dog that goes after the ball😱
I hated this house for the furniture when I saw it a year ago. $3m, to the owners who commissioned that furniture, I have these magic beans to sell.
I can not believe it! I found this video just when I was planning to make the same video! Brother, this is what you need! A huge number of decisions in such houses simply do not stand up to any criticism!
This is a very interesting video, sometimes when i'm watching these mansion for sale type videos, there's a Ton of Things that i wouldn't really REALLY want in the places.
Great glad I could point them out for you guys
Enes is great and I love many of the homes he’s toured. But he also has shown his fair share of dogs, and this is one of them. I can’t imagine anyone spending this kind of money on a home poised over a cliff without a yard. I’m happy to find a UA-camr like Arvin who will happily trash even the most expensive of homes. Money and good taste do not necessarily go hand in hand.
The Kitchen appliances are Wolf - I've never heard anyone call Wolf "B-tier" before. High-end induction stove tops are not inferior to gas - many professional kitchens have switched to induction.

@@ArvinHaddadOfficial Gaggenau is very good but so is Wolf - La Cornue is beautiful but more expensive - However, the Rolls-Royce of range cookers is Molteni.
Never seen a home with molteni
@@dalenesty2019 It's rare (more common in Europe) but some people demand the very best.
My wife doesn't choose my house, unless she picked it out and i like it! That house is extremely underwelming & they can trade in that $3.5 million vintage furniture
Wanted to see your reaction to the two features that really make this property unique: the lower level nightclub/dance area with movable furniture and the car elevator in the garage that Bruce Wayne would love to have in his Bat Cave.
Would also love to see your critique video of 10979 Chalon, which as far as I know, is still unsold since Dan Blizerian moved out.
That house is disgusting, even without knowing the Bilzerian history. It's not a serious house.
Dan bilzerian house is so disgusting that I have been holding back on it … but it would make a great video
@@ArvinHaddadOfficial There's really no need to do the Bilzerian house, it's so ridiculous.
At 0.54 you can see a square structure behind the house, which is covered in ivy and there’s many trucks and supplies on the roof. What is that building? Could be a reason no one wants that house. And at 14:57 you can see more. There’s a few sheds and large trucks and perhaps a garage. Those are permanent structures there. It looks like a storage lot. Wow! Can you find that address ? Black House? In LA? Nuts
How many of these million dollar homes built on a hill have had landslides, just look at the side of the hill, it does not have any thing to prevent the soil from becoming saturated with storm water, you need trees or some type of landscaping even then your still taking an enormous risk. Rule of thumb never buy any house with a hill behind or in front of the house and certainly never build on top of one.
Sure that one lawn looks small, but you're forgetting about that green patch of grass and weeds spreading between some of the support pillars. And the best part of a distant view of Los Angeles is that you're that much further away from having to be in Los Angeles.
Arvin, I've been in this home and there is a dedicated caterer's kitchen on the lower level behind the car lifts. It has an out side access and is about 1,000 square feet. The area was not built out when I was there a couple of years ago (and probably still isnt as Enes didn't show it) however there were plans for basically a restaurant kitchen with walk-in freezer to accommodate cooking for events to be held in the massive ball room on the lower level.
Thanks for the info
Finally someone that knows their stuff and is very honest. Bravo my friend amazing content
idk if you added this or maybe its just the desktop youtube site but at 10:12 when you said hit the like button it actually glowed, it
made me wanna actually hit it!
💯% agree w your analysis & critique. There are "White Elephants" this one is Black, Wood & Bronze. Developer did not do their comp/spec homework... & Yes, the furniture is a distraction at best.
glad we se eye to eye on this
I actually love the moodiness of this house. It’s dark and dramatic yet still gets loads of light and has that “wow factor” volume. I would probably decorate with jewel tones and rich textures. This is my second favorite next to the “Californiacation” house. But I can definitely see how it is over-priced. It will be interesting to see what it eventually sells for.
Glad you like it… I never say don’t buy it … just know the flaws before you buy it so you won’t overpay
I love when you say exactly what I'm thinking. Great channel!
That long passage off the kitchen 😮😮😮. I saw a reel of 50 cent where he said his house was so big that there were long passages leading to rooms he'll never go to (like his in a hauntedantion)
That formal dining room (3:03) is too small for that size house - and for the number of people it seats. If you are sitting on the one side of the table, someone would not be able to pass behind your chair (such as a server or another guest). And it's boring.
That long hallway is a missed opportunity. It's probably wider than a hallway in a typical house, but because of its length it looks very narrow. And uninteresting.
Gee, could they fit in any more outdoor fire pits? I feel like maybe if they had one more the house would have sold by now. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It''s nice to see someone be critical of these mega mansions.
I remember watching this on Enes channel when it came live, from the get go it gave cramped impressions, small parking area at the front, non existent backyard, living area looking like a joke, awful furnishing/staging even for the extravagant lavish lifestyle people - just so extremely dark palette. The only thing I liked is vodka room and this is the room I'd live in wif a hat on.
thanks for sharing your thoughts i just posted a new one
Just come across your videos. Very enjoyable. I agree the decor and furnishings are absolutely hideous…all that brown makes the house so dark. Whoever was responsible for the interiors clearly has no interior design experience.
Did the house go to auction in the end?
I don't understand the exit price. There's literally remodeled/updated/luxurious ancient castles out there (in general) selling and or asking for around 30-50 million. Makes no sense, even with it's location.
The interior totally looks like something out of a Quentin Tarantino movie, or Martin Scorsese’s Casino. You expect some bleeding dead bodies lying around, some badly dressed mob bosses from the sixties hanging out, sparsely clad models at the pool.
Hubris on full display. I agree with every comment made. 🇬🇧
9:00 This 100% looks like an Emirates first-class lounge, and when you mention that, it makes me think they were designing the furniture for that lounge.
Perhaps they calculated that the most viable market for dropping $139m on this place was some oil billionaire from the Middle East?
I appreciate your criticism of the furniture. When I first saw Enes's original video, I thought all the furniture looked awful. But what do I know about what's cool and hip in LA in this price bracket? "Maybe this is cool there?" It was reassuring that my initial gut reaction was accurate, even if it wasn't informed by current trends in LA.
Based on watching all these Enes videos on these hillside mansions in LA, it seems like local developers are desperate to create new space out of absolutely nothing. Then they drop an over-priced and cookie-cutter house on that land, and ask ridiculous amounts.
It's a lot like creating vertical space in New York City on Billionaire's Row. They made some insanely tall buildings to "create" more real estate in the sky (versus on a steep hill) to sell overpriced condos.
This is the kind of critique I was looking for. I've watched Ennis' videos from beginning, and I have wondered about these, as I have noticed that they languish on the market. I see comments asking who lives in these, and the answer is nobody. I heard an interview with Josh Altman from Million Dollar Listing. Altman said that these are for wealthy foreign buyers looking to park assets. They may visit, throw parties, but they aren't living here, it's not a home. I think another factor that you didn't mention regarding this house has to do with the lot for sale immediately down the hill. It already has a huge foundation poured, and the seller looks like they are looking for a buyer who will complete construction. That looks like it will also be equally massive, and will totally be visible from this house. I can't see how it won't encroach on the views from this one.
