Seagal does not have a physique like Arnold, moves like JCVD, seems to be doing most of the stunts himself but nowhere near Jackie Chan's level of awesomeness, and has some charisma, but he's no Harrison Ford. And what the hell is up with his running? As for later movies, I've seen a couple of reviews and I'm shocked he had a stunt double for walking. Let that sink in. Walking. W-a-l-k-i-n-g. Not to mention, he was dubbed for most of the lines. And do not get me started on his ego, do yourself a favor and google "Rob Schneider Telling Steven Seagal Stories"

To say Aikido is not well respected as a martial art is entirely WRONG. It's not respected by a lot of MMA fans because it's flashy, ineffective in the octagon and nobody has ever claimed to be aikido and won a title.
However Aikido is not allowed in MMA. It is small joint manipulation which is not allowed in UFC at least because things break constantly. But Aikido also takes a lot from Jiu-jitsu and is very close to it. In fact, the best way to breakfall is found in Aikido training. Not Judo, not Jiu-jitsu. Aikido. To disrespect it as a martial art is naive and echo chamber talk.

Anyone who relies on their black belt in Aikido no matter what degree will most likely end up in ICU or dead. Back in 1994 I trained in Aikido for six months or so and was shocked to see MANY guys some 50 - 60+ years old who were Aikido black belts and truly believed they could defend themselves on the street. Long story short, I was a Golden Gloves boxer and actually sparred some of the black belts away from the dojo. I wore boxing gloves - they didn't and were free to hit me, take me down, throw me, etc. I'm not bragging - just being honest: I weighed 135 lbs and it was a cake walk with all of them. They freaked out when I hit them with a left jab because they weren't used to being hit at all. Valuable advice:
Learn to box and spar often because on the street you are going to get hit no matter who you are. 💯

Redeye is great and his Seagal voice is hilarious although I got tired of the Lawman ones as it was just too depressing seeing a truly awful human being like Seagal interacting with real people and treating them like dirt.

Steven Seagal is now a Russian citizen and living in Russia (largely due to all the legal trouble he has back in the US).
Now that he's a Russian citizen, I wonder if he'd be willing to volunteer and fight for Russia in Ukraine. They could assign him to a Heavy Infantry unit.

In my opinion, Exit Wounds is Seagal's best movie. I thought it was a solid action flick with great sequences and a good supporting cast. I do think it is a bit weaker than Andrzej Bartkowiak's other movies that came out during that era (Romeo Must Die and Cradle 2 the Grave), but still, solid flick.

Seagal's biggest downfall was his massive ego. The minute you flex that you're better than Bruce Lee, the quicker they'll be pushback.
I hoped that those SA allegations were untrue but, "Hollywood!"
    Favorite films
    Under Siege
    Glimmer Man
    Screw face
    Under Siege 2
And of course Above the Law.

What happened was that he became huge, after his first movie he introduced a new style, this big and strong martial art's/weapon expert, who take's down the "bad guy's", his first 5 movies are legendary, 1988-1992 was a big period for him, then he began with the "TV movie" stuff, then he went over to the "straight-to-dvd" world, now if you enjoy violence and justice, then all of his movie's are worth watching, but if you are more picky about it, then you need to pick out, his first 5 movie's, and some of his later movie's, i have watched alot of his movie's, and you do get what you want "violence and justice".
