I work at a Toyota dealer and they didn't know how to install this without the side rails lol, said it couldn't be done.... update our body shop knew how, but our service drive was stumped.

thanks for the video, for the 2 sliding screws, even i tie very tight before install onto the car, the rail seems still allow to move , is it normal?

Bought this direct from the Toyota center and it came with missing angled bolts.
Matter of fact. They gave me a cross bar with a bolt and spacer already installed, Even though I need one with angled bolts
The bars are so close together. I bought a thule Tahoe bag to go on the roof but it’s too big it doesn’t fit between there. There’s no way to space the bars out?

Thanks for the video! Do the covers stay on? I bought another brand (Autekcomma) and the covers don't really snap in securely. I zip tied them, but that is not ideal. There is an also another brand (KInggeri) that has locking covers, but not many reviews. Brightlines has many and good reviews, but shipping is currently delay for me. I may just have to get OEM.
Mine came missing the mounting angle bracket and bolt. It actually had a bolt and spacer already attached and wouldnt work

thank you! how different is the LE trim vs the XLE in regards of the installation? Also, how recommendable is to purchase after market cross bars? (not Toyota original) will I lose warranty of my car?

I don't have a part number, but call your dealer's parts department and ask them for the plastic cap that covers the bolt hole for the roof cross bar.
