A little trick I do with the piston is put it into the cylinder bore as much as I can on the work bench, usually you can get all the rings compressed and still have enough room to get the wrist pin in when you go to install on the bike. I then put the head with piston on and install the pin with clip on the bike and slide the head down with ease. Try it next time it works great and is a bit easier to deal with in my opinion. 🙂

I would also get used to putting a rag around the crank whilst putting piston on and top end, as you can easy drop things into bottom end and then your work triples.. lol good job bro, keep it up!! 👍

Assembly lube works really well to slide those rings on or some oil

so after rebuilding the quad with budget parts hows it holding on? is it still running?

@@zapz2101 a couple months only but if the specs are all right I don't see y it wouldn't last you and make sure you go through the heat cyxles

A good couple months but then I sold it so not sure after that if you want good quality go with weisco pistons

So the ring end gap is fine out of the box??

It usually is but I always double check it becuase it always depends on your cylinder on how worn it is so that's very important. Your old piston and rings could be worn and the new one should be a better and tighter but not enough to be in specs
