You forgot the one key rule about breakaway tables, the one trick the WWE uses on them for safety: you cut halfway through the table in the middle to give it a place to break. If you dont give it an easy place for it to snap on the top, the most likely place to break first is the legs of the table, which generally leads to a bad time.
@@cloudsteele1989 i think scoring it in multiple places may actually be a bad idea, if you were to do 1 really deep score in the center, there is only 1 point of failure and you basically guarantee that it is going to break at that specific spot.
Honestly I think a bigger table top would have helped too. You want something where the impact force isn't well diverted over the legs. Plus the way he jumped the direction of the force wasn't normal to the table top thus not leading to the top breaking but instead shifting. So no wonder the legs just snapped off, considering he said he used hot glue.
I feel like this video was cathartic for Chelsea, she got to hit William with a bat and now every time he comes up with a dangerous idea she can remind him of the table.

This is a really good way to show cost/give perspective. The one thing not factored in was hours. The tedious work like making a bunch of breakaway plates costs the materials and hours. William doing it himself could save costs bc he's making everything he's not paying anyone to make things.
