Back to 2011, but interesting hunts, although I was surprised the couple revolted against Crowthorne! But it was a bit modern! Anyway, good that LLL went back for a catch up a couple years later which is always satisfying. Thanks for sharing.

Regarding private sale: A savings of 8K on a 345K house = 2.3%. If that equates to a selling agent's
commission, it's a real bargain, unless the seller has to pay the same amount again to a buyer's agent..(?)
On my part of the planet the selling agent usually charges at least 4%, then splits it with a buying agent,
which usually occurs.
Its interesting that you can meet the owner in person In the US the realtors makes sure the potential buyer and the seller NEVER MEETS! My realtor told me that when they do meet, 85% of the time the deal falls through....
Two lesbians rejecting a mid-19650's house in the middle of suburbia - I wonder why?!! NOT!! Kirsty should have been more attuned to what the implications of that might have been for these lovely ladies. Calling them petulant was the worst comment I've ever heard Kirsty make on this show and it shocked me. I felt Emma's tears. It was fear of judgement and of being totally out of her comfort zone, which is why I feel she came around to the other property so much quicker in the end - it offered friends and acceptance and love. My sister bought a house with her female friend, a colleague, in suburban Australia i(2023) and they were immediately labelled lesbians and shunned by the neighbours even though they're not a couple at all. Bigotry is still very much alive and well and if you haven't experienced it you cannot understand the pain it can cause. I wouldn't be surprised if Emma and Kelly agreed to a revisit on the premise it was Phil and not Kirsty after hearing what she said.

I know these are older episodes but I wonder when it became strongly encouraged to keep cats indoors. Discounting a house pretty well from the beginning (even though you're going to go have a look) because of the assumption the cats NEED to be outside. Yes, I've had cats and they've been indoors evn though I live in a perfectly car-quiet neighbourhood (there are coyotes and other cats though).
In many towns in US, it is the law to keep cats inside.
Keep your pussy cats indoors. They need to stay away from any wildlife/birds
