All I need when I'm feeling a little under the weather is a good dose of Phil and Kirstie. They just do the trick, just love this programme, it's truly the best. Thank you both so very much. 😊❤
Initially I wondered why John is being so “difficult”, then when he said “it’s our final move” it hit me. You can see how important this last stage of their life is for him! Good for them ❤
Absolutely love the second house shown to Yvonne and Lisa. I'm gonna be incredibly cliche and say it looks like a perfect village house for a family of kids running around in short pants and exploring. Maybe none of that they want and in no way anything I'm ever gonna have but If I were writing a pre-WWII story, this would be my inspiration! Sweet daydream house.
Yes, sure. You would love to see every single couple every single year but that’s literally not possible. They can’t give us an update on 300 plus couples every year lol
@thehungrygoldfish Why did you have to be so nasty to that person? There are programmes that have follow ups on thd house hunters, infact the UK network that produced them had follow ups several years down the line.
These two couples are lovely. They were both able to compromise and each ended up with gorgeous houses: sea view which can't be built out, and a true cosy country cottage.
Always a challenge, always so enjoyable watching Kirstie & Phil maneuver & manage their clients. Personally, what's not to love about a conservatory?? I would adore one.
Great episode, thanks! My only bugaboo is when people say it's their final move, or their forever home. Why put that kind of pressure on yourself? It's just a house, and if you end up not liking it and wanting to move again, so be it! Don't be afraid of change.
The second, Chalet-home shown to Yvonne and Lisa was outstanding. I am happy that they are content in the house they chose, but in my opinion that second house was absolutely stunning! So much character, and very original. Hopefully the second home went to better hands that can really bring out it's features and keep it's period charm.
Funny....I grew up in two small towns with the railroad tracks behind both houses' back yards. The rhythmic sounds of a train, and the slow, mournful train whistle in the middle of the night brings back nostalgia for me, and a sense of security and comfort. Everything is perspective.
Love both couples and the house Yvonne and Lisa chose ..perfect for them and something I would choose ..given the chance ..hope they are all still happy in their homes .
Kirsty: I have good mind reading skills. Ha! LOL. She cracks me up! I just love Phil and Kirsty . They are the best. I'm on Hawai'i and they are way better than anyone in the U.S.
I am exactly Peggy and John's age in this episode, and completely understand what's meant by final destination. My last home purchase was at forty when l had much more vitality, both physically and financially. Wondering how they're doing these ten years later.
at 62 i was where he thinks he wants to be ,in a project...and by the time the project was done I was so ready for a nice finished house.Good luck buddy !!
............I was NOT expecting that, the fact that the owners would settle for $325,000 pounds when the original selling price was $349,000 pounds. Wow, the owners must have been really motivated to sell because they didn't even come back to the girls with a counter offer. Good on them, congrats, ladies.
My dream is to visit England and live there for a few weeks, months, years!! Just got my passport at 64, and I am planning a European trip sometime in the future!
I lived in a house in a country village and a lot of traffic passed by in the daytime, less at night. After a couple of weeks I never heard it, and it never bothered me.
So funny in the beginning, when Phil tells the couple "you know you're not going to get "EVERYTHING"- DON'T YOU? and the older couple look dumbfounded, and they both start laughing, because of course they DO! OH MY...
John has a vision. When someone has a vision of what they want, and what they want to CREATE, it's no good saying "Compromise." ! It's as good as saying; "Don't want what you want." which is idiotic. How does Phil not get that?
Re: John and his partner...the view is everything but the furniture..sofa and armchair all lined up against the wall facing the tv like in a Old Age home....no view in sight, no social interaction possible in that living room

Me too therapy x
I'm addicted to this show, honestly. I love the mix of the economic, sociological and psychological, plus the humour.
Initially I wondered why John is being so “difficult”, then when he said “it’s our final move” it hit me. You can see how important this last stage of their life is for him! Good for them ❤
Both couples got the homes they envisioned and worked to make them perfect - well done!
I love seeing the couples after they have made the house their home ❤
Phil's face when he walks into the new kitchen/diner area is great!!

Totally agree. Beautiful home. So sweet and charming.
Love to see where both couples are in 2023.

You just need to look them up its not hard

Great comment. Ignore these nasty people. Have a blessed day.

Sweet girls did a beautiful job with their adorable house. Good job Kristy! ❤
I sooooo get it when people say that they love Kirsty and Phil. They are so adorable, and they are an important part of my day.
Wonderful to see an "after story ".@!! Would like to see more of them

Life happens, doesn't it - none of us can say for sure what next week will bring!!
@@SmallWonda Exactly!
They are on the older side though and retired so I understand why they say it’s their final move.
@@thehungrygoldfish yeah, but they were only in their early '60's. Still plenty of life in them, hopefully!
@@nancyn347I still say 60s is reasonable to find your final house.
Smiles all round for both couples... lovely to see 🌟
They did a great job, good to see them so happy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️🥰🤗
It’s wonderful when you show the renovated homes🤩and you’re absolutely right: it’s all about location!🤩

I liver very close to a local railway line (20m). After a while, you stop hearing them. And trains are short, it's not a long irritating noise.

They took the lines out here about a decade ago. I miss them. They were so soothing.

Kirsty: I have good mind reading skills.
Ha! LOL. She cracks me up!
I just love Phil and Kirsty . They are the best.
I'm on Hawai'i and they are way better than anyone in the U.S.
That’s a lovely thing to say.
Nice to see happy customers & lovely results - as it weren't easy searches. Hope all's still well.
I almost didn't watch but so very glad that I did. Inspiring!
Peggy-John: indeed stunning end-result -especially for 2014.
LOVE YOUR SHOW! DON'T STOP - EVER - REGARDS FROM Panama City, Panama - Robert Stroney

Excellent. Thankyou :)
Sprightly! Old-timers! 62 is not even anywhere near retirement age!
I am just loving it! 🥰

OMG! The house, what the girls picked is such lovely one! And they did a really nice job! 👏🏻👍🏻
None of these houses have fireplaces. I'd never live in a house without a fireplace, they add so much ambience to a house.
Good job Phil. ❤
V good video🎉
i love the girls house !!

I think the chalet property could be gorgeous with some good renovation and a revamp of the garden

Yay phil and kirsty

Lisa is cool...!
I used to work in Sheringham at the medical centre.....seems like many moons ago it's a quaint little town.
Oops, the third house the ladies are looking at, does, indeed, have a fireplace.
I know this all ends well but picky buyers should consider just building a home to meet their every spec. Or buying a tear down to start fresh.
you don't live in the uk do you? that kind of thing doesn't happen here
Peggy looks a million dollars in that last clip. Go them.
Finicky buyers. There are millions and millions who could never envisage buying a home. They are lucky if have a roof over their heads.
But keep in mind that they do actually have to pay for their house. It’s not given to them for free, lol.
Early sixties is not old. All that " final destination " talk was a little much
John has a vision. When someone has a vision of what they want, and what they want to CREATE, it's no good saying "Compromise." ! It's as good as saying; "Don't want what you want." which is idiotic.
How does Phil not get that?
Sorry, but Yvonne and Lisa totally ruined the house they bought. It was so stunning before especially the living area.
Just different taste. Lighter and brighter I thought. Everyone has a different opinion.
