AND an early appearance on the Royal Variety Performance in 2018... Google "My Nan, Your Nan" if you haven't seen it. It's a hoot.. Oh and stay for the Dancin Nans!
I can understand the airplane thing, and comforting other passengers. I'm in my mid-30s now, however I remember when I was a teenager coming back to the UK, on a long-haul flight. I was 17, and a few days before the flight I punched a door a few times (as teenagers do), in a typical end of adolescence 'I hate the world and everyone' mindset. My hands were red with some cuts to them. The woman next to me noticed, and she was so nice. The way she spoke to me, to comfort me. She even held my hand to keep me from being upset (keeping in mind long-haul flights are usually 8+ hours, as this one was). Nothing creepy, she was speaking in a very caring, almost motherly way. I never got her name, neither did she ask for mine, she just was nice to be nice. All these years later I remember, and it certainly is one of the memories I think about when faced with a decision to be compassionate today.
I dont understand, she held your hand coz she saw the knuckles or because you were scared on the flight?? Is this a trick comment and we have to decide true or false?
I know the episode with Greg's mum aired long before Taskmaster and other shows she appeared on, but... how can you see Greg standing next to her and not notice how similar they look? There's clearly a family resemblance.
@@sysjkbIt has nothing to do with camera work lol. Greg and his mother have the same face lol. Im also pretty much a foot taller than my mother, stupid metric.
I watched this episode when it was originally shown. I knew that was Greg's mum because she appeared in one of his stand-up shows. Also, Greg is the spitting image of his mum !
Greg, you did some very funny and well crafted work in: The Completely Made Up Adventures Of Dick Turpin! When you said, “ Ooops” , I lost it!🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks for the fun. Take care and Cheers… and all that kinda Cool English!!
Before they end this TV show, they should find someone who fitted all of the stories. Obviously not Greg's mother, but Gareth could have been all three.
7:34 It wouldn't have been proven that he had noting to do with it. Which of course doesn't matter as he was always innocent and never proven guilty, in the eyes of the law. It's perhaps an unfortunate side effect of the principle 'innocent until proven guilty' that a person cannot claim that they are proven not to have committed a crime. But the alternative is far worse.
I thought for SURE Greg’s story was stolen from Colin Farrell. Colin told his story on the “True Confessions” bit from (I think) The Tonigjt Show, with Vince Vaugh and Jimmy Fallon.
Greg is so good at telling stories, even though I'd seen the final clip before, I thought Gareth was his rickshaw driver.
Me too!!
I reckon it's a real story just not the real rickshaw driver
"it must have been awful to see him fight"
"wonderful!" 😂
I have never watched so many repeats of a series. Something special about WILTY. Thanks U.K.
Hahahha me tooo! And I laugh at the same things each time.
Shout out Greg's mum for making epic cameos, in Taskmaster & WILTY!
Yep. Had to imagine her topless with a fez on to determine if it was indeed his mom

Greg's face when he finally looked at the screen was priceless. He genuinely didn't know that was coming. 😧
Greg definitely has some stories! He always gives himself away by giving specific, but extremely funny details 😂
I think he has had lies where he did the same though?
@@Bobby.Kristensenoh yeah, he cushions his lies with bits of truth. He’s a gifted storyteller for sure!!
@celestaengland8317 you mean he CUSHOWNs...
@@Bobby.Kristensen I mean, there was literally one in this video...
The amount of times I've seen the last bit and still I can watch it and think "oh I bet he's Greg's driver"
As a former teacher, I can relate to Greg's celebrating leaving teaching.
Kudos to David for embracing all the stereotypes about himself and incorporating them into his tales!
If any of the captains read his books they would be able to instantly determine what was a truth and what was a lie. I'm honestly happy they have not.
@@bleysmcnutt5500 He and Lee are good friends outside the show as well.
Greg's mother is a real one. No wonder Greg turned out to be such a gentleman. 😁🥰
And by all accounts his dad was an absolute mad man (in the best ways) which also explains a lot😅

100% Greg still hangs out with Ian, Greg scheduled to be on WILTY, and Greg asked Ian if he wanted to be on TV.

I love the Greg's mum bit. The reaction after the reveal is just ❤❤❤❤
24:55 Greg Davis turning back into a teacher there! 😂
I have seen that lady before, wearing a fez in the bath.

I think they overweighted the height difference. And perhaps also they are seeing them without the benefit of close camera work.
Exactly, they look so similar, they've got an identical smile. I dunno how they managed to get that one wrong.

The whole episode with Gregs mum is excellent. I can watch it again and again. Al9ng with the cuddle jumper and accidentally buying a horse. 😂
Greg’s mom is awesome 🎉
Lee always just turns it up a notch when it's David's turn XD
Greg's mom is adorable!
Even moreso with a fez!
Greg Davies, Bob Mortimer, and Rhod Gilbert: the Holy Trinity of lovable lying.
They should have known on the first two. Greg has the BEST stories. 🤣f
I really wanted the rickshaw one to be true also, lol.

Haha, same!
This taping was way before Taskmaster
SPOILER ALERT!!
The give was his mum giggling along to the questions and the answers

Surely everything except the rickshaw riding is true about the last story.

After Taskmaster, yes, but not when this was recorded
But they would probably keep it to themselves for the fun of the game

Greg has lived a very colorful life.
Pauline is so obviously Greg's Mum. She is also really enjoying the show.
"that's unlucky" lol
I just realised Greg’s sat next to Gareth, ‘that bloke from BBC2 who gets kids to sing in choirs’ 😂 nice Inbetweeners reference there well done WILTY
Well we're all nominated
😂 I thought the same thing!
TM has so many awesome stories. And all of them are true! 😂
British TV is so far superior to American.
Long may it stay so
I'm certain all the other details of that last story are true.
I need friends like these guys, FA....
There is ZERO chance that slim man could drag a 150kg man 10 miles.

I'm deeply amused that most of the ppl I know in these episodes, I know because of Taskmaster.
Funny that I immediately recognized Greg's mum even though the last time I saw her was wearing a fez in the bath.
