- Sorry if it's mostly rambling. I should have written a script and stuck to it, but this is what you're getting.
This spring we took a leap and purchased a stone and setting from a company I hadn't previously heard of, @grownbrilliance9057. This review is just my own experience, and is not a well-produced or paid for ad! I think you'll be able to tell it isn't produced very well by a few seconds in, but just saying. To me, ads by a company aren't very compelling when I want to know how things actually work. I know Grown Brilliance has sponsored some proposals (maybe not sponsored, but partnered with influencers), but those ads didn't really do it for me. So, I'm here to give you a run down of how purchasing went for me, an average person.
TL/DR: Good experience and they're a legit company. Some of these sort of companies rise and fall fairly quickly, but I hope Grown Brilliance sticks around long enough for me to get a wedding band! Shout out to their customer service for being a great help.

Some lab diamond-related info:
1. Don't let people steer you away from lab stones by talking about resale value. That really isn't as big of a thing with diamonds as people want to believe. Who reallllly wants a stone you've beaten up? The resale value even on naturals isn't very good, so don't worry. Plus, are you really going to be reselling it?
2. Keep the color above an I for labs when they're not GIA certified. Color can be a bit off. That's negotiable based on your preferences, obviously.
3. SI1/SI2 can be great depending on where the inclusions are! Don't buy a stone online unless there's video of it so that you can determine where these inclusions can be seen. Do not accept a stone change without first seeing the stone you're being offered. Clarity labels don't necessarily tell you how well you're going to notice inclusions. - Навчання та стиль
I received our ring from here and it was amazing! We had a custom setting made and it came out exactly how we wanted it. Highly recommended if anyone is looking for an engagement ring!
Hello, how long did it take to receive from order to arrival? Was it made to order or in stock ?
You’ve helped so many guys on here. Thank you.
Loved this.... wow... super, super review... just off-the-cuff, and super-genuine... wished there was more of this online. So poignant and informative. I was curious about Grown Brilliance. Now, now I feel that much more confident in shopping this site. Thank you. With warmth and kindness to you and yours.
Thank you! Before I made this I was desperately searching for this type of review, so I thought it was needed.
I purchased a 2 CT emerald diamond engagement ring and it was gorgeous. I ended up returning for a 2.5 carat radiant with a station band and I am in love. I then purchased my wedding band. A 1.5 carat oval band . Gorgeous. I'm so happy. I started off with this video and it made me comfortable enough to order from them.
Radiant is such a nice cut, so I'm sure it's gorgeous. happy my video could help!
Thank you so much for this video bc I never heard of this company, i wanted to see was it a legit company & if the rings were worth the money 😊
Great review thank you. And if this is a fake review, you get an Academy award lol
Thank you for your review. I have been looking at engagement rings on this site for an upcoming proposal and I was curious about other people’s experiences
I can tell you love your new ring and it really looks good on you! In my opinion, anything under like 1.5 carats would be too small. You have to take into consideration this ring is not just another diamond ring… it’s a very special ring you will cherish for ever, I think it’s absolutely 👏 awesomeness with a perfect carat size as well! Congratulations!
Thank you!
Don’t comment on videos often.. but just wanted to thank you for the excellent review. Hard to find these days! 🥂
Glad I could be helpful!
Thank you for this review. Sometimes its hard to find real information about online sites. I just ordered diamond earrings for my wife from them, I hope she likes them.
It's very frustrating when the only info you can find is from the company or from paid influencers!
Thanks for making this video review💕
i’m trying to educate myself in lab diamonds i wouldn’t of minded you going deeper in convo about that 🙂
Thank you for your review. I ordered a 3.63 carat round with the same setting as yours. It is estimated to be shipped out to me on 4/26. I am so excited! I agreed customer service is amazing.
Oh it’s going to be beautiful. Can’t wait for you to get it!
im so glad i came across this video! I've been on the fence about this place for months and they only have website reviews... I know from my own site, you can write your own reviews (I've copied my real reviews onto my site, spelling errors included, but know i couldve written anything! Mostly why I don't trust reviews from the entity's website). Looking to get a crown engagement ring soon with princess cut setting. Do you still recommend them?
Yes I do!
@@kenzsmr great thanks!
Thanks so much for your review. My bf ordered an engagement ring for me and I'm so nervous and was skeptical that we would be disappointed or scammed in some way. So this is reassuring to say the least. We ordered 10/6 and were given an estimated ship date of 10/18, which didn't happen. Today is 10/19, hopefully we get some kind of update on shipping soon.
Did you receive the ring yet?
@@kenzsmr I did just a few days after I left the comment. It is gorgeous, I am in love with it.
How long would you say it took? Like a little over 2 weeks?
Yes, about took just about 2 weeks
Love your top. You should be a hand model, u have a lovely hand.
The top was a great cheap Marshalls find! Thank you
Thank you!
I am debating between a few companies. but there are not a lot of reviews on UA-cam to really highlight the quality. Is this company in the category of Kays Jewelers or are they a higher-end category?
I think that’s difficult to answer. There are pieces from Kay’s that are very well made and the ring I got from Grown Brilliance is really well made. If you lean towards being obsessed with quality I always steer people towards a jeweler near them that does things in house because people tend to feel better about it, whether or not there really is a quality difference.
Love it
Hi pls help. You said gold is softer material? Would a platinum band hold the diamond better? And would a 6prong hold better then a 4?
Gold is fairly soft, but if you are careful with your jewelry it isn't a thing to worry about. Just keep up on maintenance. 6 prongs gives more points of contact to hold a stone than 4, but if you're reckless with your hands you could lose a stone either way. I wouldn't be steered towards platinum unless I really liked the look of it tbh. Personally I'm not a fan of the color. If you like the general color white gold/silver, then maybe go for platinum if that's in your budget!
Do you recommend a 1ct emerald ?
I think a 1ct emerald is a great size. It's a great cut. I was stuck between wanting an emerald, radiant, and oval originally!
I want to order diamond stud earrings. Do you recommend?
I’m planning on ordering some studs soon myself. I definitely recommend trying it out!
What band setting did you use?
It's called "Station." Here's a link to a premade ring using that band. It has a matching wedding band as well that is available. www.grownbrilliance.com/2-1-2-ctw-oval-lab-grown-diamond-station-engagement-ring-14k-yellow-gold/pid/RIG1860X3-O200SO-GY?category_id=78
Quick question, what size finger are you?
5.5!
So grown brilliance does gia certification for there stones ? I think James Allen only does igi for their lab diamonds
Some of them are GIA certified!
Igi certs are available on any stone over a .75 but you have too ask for it.
How did they handle the IGI certification? Thank you.
My stone was GIA certified! There are a few that are in there, although most are IGI. I basically took a screenshot of whatever info was on the site (just to make sure they sent me what I was told I was getting) and then they sent me the physical certificate with the ring.
Do all lab diamonds have engravings that indicate it’s a lab diamond?
Most do, especially larger stone sizes, but not every single one does!
How long was the process??
About a month!
Whats the color and quality of the stone?
I’m away from home so I don’t have access to my cert, but I know it’s E color and I think VS2 clarity
@@kenzsmr congrats. It's beeeeeeeeeautiful
Your ring is GORGEOUS!!!
Thank you!
I was looking into purchasing a ring but they don’t allow me to pick the lab diamond. They just give me a range of what the diamond will be. Do you have to call them to pick the diamond?
You need to start by choosing a loose diamond, not with the premade rings, if that’s what your trying to do. Then you add that loose stone to a setting!
@@kenzsmr thanks, I just did but couldn’t get the setting I exactly wanted. Maybe I can talk to them about the premade setting and adding my own diamond to it.
How long did it take to ship ?
Ordered my ring on the 5th of November and plan to propose the 23rd of December
@@noahmcdonald9723 did you get your ring on time?
Hello! what ring size is this?
The center stone is 1.98 carats and the size of the band is a 5.5! I can't remember the carat weight of the accent stones
Would you recommend for an engagement ring?
Do you think that it can last long?
@@lifewithalexia2710 Yeah I would absolutely recommend them! They use real diamond and gold, so the pieces should definitely be long lasting. If you happen to set your stone with a pave band, you can expect to lose a few of the tiny side stones years down the line, but that is absolutely common with pave settings.
@@kenzsmr wow, thank you so much for responding back to me! This video was very informative and super helpful!!
@@lifewithalexia2710 You're welcome! If you need any help finding a good option on their site, let me know roughly your budget & the size and shape of the stone you're looking for and I can link some recommendations.
@@kenzsmr well i think our budget is roughly $5,300 and i love a 2ct. Radiant cut
This place absolutely blows
Please comment more about your experience! I think it's valuable to have detailed info because I certainly couldn't find much out there when I made this video. I will say that it isn't going to hold your hand to get you the highest quality stone for the best price - if you don't know much about diamonds I think it'd be easy to overspend on something not exactly worth it.
Built a ring and purchased the ring. Looked at my order they had changed the setting and also the chosen diamond was no longer available and the stone choice would not fit the setting. Next day with help from a specialist designed another ring. That ring was almost 900 dollars more than the previous. The reason why was free setting with purchase of a 2.5 diamond ended the night I cancelled my order. The new promo was for 3ct diamond and free setting. In other words they screwed my order up and sold a diamond that wasn’t available and tried to exchange my ring setting without telling me. Then wanted me to pay an extra 900 dollars for the same ring in less than 12 hours ummmm no so I went to James alllen boom and done in 30 min
