    Thanks for having a look at the ship, Arron! Been playing since 2013 and watched your joint survival series quiiiite a while ago. I'm glad you liked the ship, and absolutely, it should be tweaked a fair bit to make it better for survival. It uses light armor but there's heavy armor protecting the front of the CIC and the Grav gen room. Also thank you all for the kind words :)

    I love this design! Good combination of functional and aesthetic, not too minmax for my tastes, I might be the only SE player that prefers all thrusters be external, but I appreciate any ship that's willing to do so and still keep the thrusters well defended! Myself I like a modular fleet idea with everything overbuilt in internal space so everything can be maintained from within and have a honeycomb like structure like some halo ships. also hiding weapons so they can be maintained and such from within is also cool to me. the new custom turret system and pop up turrets has me nerding out a bit. Imagine a shipyard building ships from per-designed modules that can be popped together quickly and lightly reinforced a bit and added to so it makes a serious ship or station.

    One thing that I can see that can kill this ship is if someone was to destroy the turrets on a entry point they could board the ship and could go on a rampage because I saw very little interior turrets to protect the inside. But then they could get killed by the crew but it’s risky to get onboard in the first place. But if this ship was to be swarmed with fighters, there’s a high chance of the ship getting damage on critical parts with constant strafes on the ship. But still a great ship.

      Nobody in pvp would willingly pilot a small block ship against a large block one. You'd just be wasting resources for no good reason. Unless by fighter you mean a small large block ship. But I do agree, autocannons are good for swatting flies, PMT's though break far too easy for my tastes, despite their offensive prowess their personally locked range of 800m is offputting. But then, there are those obsolete missile turrets XD My biggest issue is the PDT/C's are all sunken emplacements which ruins all their firing arcs anyways. Honestly though, you can get away with nothing but arty turrets, but without superfiring the emplacements to send clouds of death at 2km in large firing groups it's all wasted shots anyways.

    1. The wasted pcu of this ship would imply it would never be used in any pvp server that runs currently in public realms. 2. It's a very beautiful ship, but its still a gunbrick that doesn't make use of superfiring emplacements and clearly is a nose on charger in a conflict. That's bad. 3. Subgrids..I mean enough said. 4. Maintenance Access: Most people doing actual pvp don't use maintenance access. It wastes pcu (pcu that coulda been used for more guns), increases mass (mass is bad on a ship flying for performance and pvp). No, no you do not want maintenance access on a ship in combat. Instead (if your server allows for it) you want welders behind weaponized components, and explosive components. And if your server is VERY generous, you want the ship blueprinted and on its own projection to wholesale replace important internals and turret emplacements in combat. 5. it wastes more mass and pcu on a lot of decoration. 6. Scripted LCD's....on a warship. What servers these days give you the freedom to have scripts that isn't already a modded lagfest?. XD. I mean, each one of those wasted industrial pipes on the hull, while beautiful greebling...each one of those is 10pcu. ten...that's ten heavy armor (or blast door) blocks you coulda used to protect a hydro tank...PER wasted pipe. XD just for looks! And there's quite a handful of them, just hanging out, looking like exposed entrails. *SMH*
    CMON LSG, you've played this game long enough to know showcasing this as a functional warship is absolutely disingenuous ...a meta first strike rail/arty axial charger destroyer would end that gunbrick in seconds flat, and do it with way less pcu and mass, way more speed and maneuverability to dodge its poorly placed and easily blocked turrets, and warp home for a breakfast of smoked kippers.
    What this is, is a VERY beautiful concept ship with amazingly good greebling. The artistic design is tasty. But with no sloped armor in sight (to take advantage of the new armor sloping mechanics to redirect fire away from internal components), everything sharp angles, flat planes, and sunken emplacements on a brick design, it is not a pvp vessel. Depending on what internals it has it might make a conversation piece of an econ ship though.

    • @Commander_Wolf32
      @Commander_Wolf32 2 роки тому +2

      Wow it’s not a optimised meta ship, who cares? Can’t we just have something that looks cool and would be functional when not being used in let’s squeeze as much psu as we can to have as much guns as we can situation. Not everyone is like you and wants to make a ship like that

    • @raxamonbathory8633
      @raxamonbathory8633 2 роки тому +2

      @@Commander_Wolf32 you can do whatever you please, buck rogers. But don't sell it to people as a combat ship, which, it's not. New players coming to the game see content like this and they believe it. Only to have their hopes dashed when they try to blueprint it in to find out "oh look, it's a paperweight" or at the very worst "so blatantly craps all over PSU and server limits no server would permit it"
      Not everybody gets the good graces to dictate to others what their farcical modded servers which permit unlimited PCU to dump whatever they please into the world. And not everybody wants to be locked in a single player world to enjoy space legos in creative...alone. By themselves.
      That said showcasing it as a combat vessel is wildly disingenuous to newer players who will come in, see this content, then learn first hand what disappointment and heartbreak means, the second they think "LSG vetted it! it must be awesome!" only to hit a wall the moment that programmable block tries to weld in, or its PCU goes over the servers allowances. Or worse, they think cause it was showcased as a combat vessel they go in thinking it is, and actually take it to a fight to learn the hard way it's an Econ ship with some poorly placed PDT's and an underwhelming axial battery for a ship of it's size.

    • @raxamonbathory8633
      @raxamonbathory8633 2 роки тому +2

      Here's a better idea. When showcasing a ship, how about not just showcasing its beauty, but what it's PCU is...what its block count is...and how many of which kind of block are in the grid, if it has sub grids or not. What it's actual intended purpose is. And then show off how it performs? Instead of just going "Oooh pretty! Look I shot a hole in it! it must be light armor!"
      That way, people who play on servers with different allowances can know if its a ship for them or not.
      Instead of showcasing it as something it isn't (like a combat ship), and wouldn't even make it through the front door of an official server (do you even know what their block and pcu limits are man? There's a reason why people care who aren't you). And with those programmable blocks needed for those lcd's would assuredly not make it past most privately hosted servers, either.
      Show case it for what it IS...not what it isn't. What it IS, is a very pretty, very large gunbrick, with a seemingly mildly aggressive thrust profile, with (for some reason) focus on economy, and interior beauty for something with the title "destroyer" ...while it certainly has some of the armaments of a functional destroyer, as a combat vessel it's going to fail someone badly who is expecting more than a pretty screenshot out of a 'destroyer'. Here's an idea, shoot it with arties where a gas tank is gonna be, not in a spot where you know they aren't. Does it go deadstick after one shot? If it does, its a high pcu conversation piece...otherwise it's a high pcu gunbrick with poor combat design choices. A pretty ship. But is it a pretty trophy to put on your bookshelf, or is it a destroyer? And don't pretend arty turrets can't target things properly when its very obvious those skirting blocks inset around the cannons are hampering what limited firing arcs they already have.
      Be genuine. Be critical. Give people a reason to want to use the ship. Encourage beauty creativity AND functionality. SE is already littered with a workshop fulla concept ships that can't fulfill their supposed purposes.
