By removing parts you're already ahead of a lot of shops and people on social media who claim to wrap cars. This is coming from someone who works at a wrap shop in Chicago. Well done.
I can see why now… it was the most difficult part! It definitely made the end result look a LOT better though!! CANT beat free in a situation doing it yourself and still being happy with the results 😅 I’ve seen nightmare jobs done by shops as well.
rule at my shop is if it doesnt come off in 5 mins it doesnt come off😂🤷♂
Whatever works for you. We strive for quality, long lasting work. Bumpers, trim, mirrors, handles, headlights, tail lights, lips, diffusers, sometimes even wheels. Anything that can compromise the longevity of the wrap must come off. I can take all that stuff off without wasting time.

this turned out so well! for anyone more new to cars, you can take a Ziploc baggie and tape the bolts, nuts and screws to their respective parts so you don't lose anything in the process.
wow. this is what i was looking for . A newbie wrapping a home job.. though the pro shops shorts are very satisfying. So it makes sense there is a lot of prep work.

14:38 Those 10th gen civic side skirts are actually really easy to take off if you know the trick. Remove all the screws/clips holding the front, back, and bottom of the rocker, then take a mallet or other soft hammer and hit the rocker towards the front of the car. The rocker will slide off of the normally inaccessible clips and fall off, and you can remove the clips left in the car by turning them 45°.
Put the clips back on the rocker, and when you are ready to put it back on, it goes on straight on with a couple good smacks where the clips are. It helps to have a second person for installation to lessen the risk of you scratching either the front or back on the door bottoms.

I have the ‘22 civic hatch and I’m considering wrapping it myself just because I love being hands on. I’m most nervous about taking things apart but this made me feel so much better. I might start with some pinstripe details before I do a full wrap just to get a feel for it. Thanks for sharing 🩷

Nice! I remember wrapping parts of my civic and it was a pain and I’ve done decals for a while. I remember stretching parts to make them fit and figured when I walked out after work on a hot day that it all would shrink back to 3/4 the size 😂

I've been thinking about going to try and learn about wrapping because I was about to buy a black car and I wanted to make it Orange. Did my research and I know now that it is quite costly. Maybe I'll do part of my husband's car to try and get a feel for it. Then maybe do the whole car. He has an XC60 in grey but we both love it in red. Blue might also be an option. Seeing you do sooo well the first time gives me hope. The colour you picked is super pretty and not crazy pink, magenta is gorgeous.
excellent job. the best part about learning how to wrap is also learning how to take apart your car to do the job right especially a white car! the hardest vehicle to wrap.

Nice job on the wrap but also taking it apart and putting it back together. Love the detail you provide. I plan on trying this on my car but it should be easier than your car cause mine is much older and no round corners. Plus, I have chrome bumpers so that will be easier. Congrats on your first wrap.

I was originally looking up "animating 2D cars" for some input on an animation project and stumbled upon thiis video that came up in the results. I didn't even know this was possible to do. And it was so fearless! I would have worried that I'd break a part or lose a small part! But this job really came out great! Nice to see positive stuff like this on UA-cam!

I’m starting to get into flipping cars and sometimes the paint is less than stellar. I wanted a set process for these flips. You convinced me out of painting the cars. Wrapping looks like the way to go.

Great job and color pick. It looks like the Porsche color Ruby Star Neo. I was never into reds but since I bought my '08 MX-5 in True Red a few years ago its grown on me. If that wasn't such a great color I'd do that car. I'm thinking about having my 2020 white Corolla SE done.

Great Job!!! You should also wrap the chrome door surrounds black. I've done that to my ( White ) Civic and it really makes a difference. Keep those Civic videos coming.
Agree, Its almost completely chrome deleted as is, finish up that little bit of chrome with gloss black and it will look great. Excellent work!

Word of advice if you are going to continue doing this I suggest you get a pair of ramps to make it even easier on yourself and get a good rolling chair. great work!
Great job and patience! I know wrapping already takes a long time but if I was to remove panels and pieces of a car, I would've probably installed dynamats or sound deadening while I'm at it as well just saying.
That is never a bad idea. It just adds more weight to the car. Everything can always be removed again.

man u taught me something cause i thought it was hard to take the handle off the door until i saw u do it but i got a nissan so somethings i could do n some i can't do w/out taking the door panel off but i aint gonna do all tht

Ok I'm Latino, I have no idea who this girl is, I was looking for a video about vinyl and its applications in cars and UA-cam suggested this video to me, I just want to say 2 things, 1st... I never thought it was possible to see that one such a beautiful and sexy woman to do something with her car at that level, 2nd I can't even wrap Christmas presents well. I'm melted by this girl, I don't know if you are going to read this message, but you are incredible.
Its hard to wrap white cars, bcs any wrong trim...depend how bad it is, the whole piece sometimes need to be replaced! Btw...you guys did a great job! the car came out nice!

Also, I don't know if I can fully get behind a pink civic, hahaha. But it does look super well done and it suits the car better than I expected. the 10th gens just look so good in any colour honestly. What do you think of the looks on the new generation civic?
I agree that the design of the civicX has a 'Hot Wheels' feel with the larger graphics. It makes any color work! Since this is a darker purple Pink, I have gotten SO many compliments on it! I do not prefer the new generation over the tenth.

@@KaylaRundle yes I would love to see an update on the Camaro great job on the Civic by the way Kayla I was wondering if you could help me with something maybe a suggestion since I've rebuilt my Camaro SS it's a 2011 I did the top end BTR. Delete new rods lifters the heads were done Tule Springs BTR stage 2 LS3 cam water pump everything every alternator condenser radiator starter got x-pipe dual exhaust Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers Texas Speed headers every once in awhile when I start it and put it into reverse or drive it wants to stall out sometimes it does also did the timing chain would you have any idea what it could be I had it Dyno tune twice I would really like your input on the problem

you did a good job the other trick you could of done on the roof was center the wrap on the roof you wouldn't had to stretch it as much as you did on one side.
