Who else think the judge is being unfair
This lawyer deserves 👏🏼 standing up to him and tell him bout his self ….. he said oh judge I don’t get embarrassed I don’t want to embarrass u 🫠🫠
Steele reported him to the Bar 6 years ago. And a conviction was overturned due to it. This judge is biased against him. Watching this judge handle that case is embarassing
the judge keeps interrupting the lawyer...not respectful
This is the most unprofessional trial I have ever witnessed. This attorney had every right to stand up for himself and his client.
It's time for the Supreme Court of Georgia to step in.
Steele is right. He told the judge last week that he had issues with the calls and the judge told him, we will address it when we get to the calls. The calls come in, Mr Steele brings up the issue and the judge goes off on him saying Why didn't you bring this up before!! He did bring it up before and the Judge didn't want to rule on it.
Wow! That was wild! I think this Judge had been out of line. Saying anything negative about a lawyers professionalism could very possibly effect the jurors feeling for the defense case.
The fact that the Judge never allowed him to make his motion without interrupting him spoke VOLUMES!! Compare it to when Ms. Love stands up and spoke all she wanted throwing all her shade on Steele and the Judge never interrupted once!!! Also, the fact that this Judge postpones his rulings until "we reach that point" and then forgets about it is unfair to all defense lawyers. He's definitely showing bias and is like Steele said, "the appearance of it is already bad!".
The state and the judge are delaying. The state is on the verge of a Brady violation on a daily basis, the judge lets prosecutor Love rattle on repeat but cuts Mr Steele off like it’s the best part of his day. If I lived in Georgia and the state spent my tax dollars on this…there would be a picket line from the front door of this courthouse to front door of the governor. This is absolutely embarrassing.
If this judge wanted to move this trial along, then he would quit having half days, only in court 3-4 days a week, 2 hour lunches, 1 hour comfort breaks, weeks off for breaks. Then whenever the defense raises an objection or makes a motion he complains about them delaying the trial. The whole trial is beyond a joke. The judge says he has admonished both sides, but he has never admonished the state in front of the jury, He has done it to the defense multiple times.
Counsel, you obviously haven't been watching this trial! The judge has been hammering Steel. Love argues for 20 mins AFTER judge rules and the judge does NOT yell.
The point is he did it in front of the jury. Judge was wrong. He can not Say a attorney is unprofessional or unprepared in front of the jury. The judge did that. He needs to recuse himself ASAP. Steele is a beast lawyer 🐐
And it's so funny how the judge is using delay as his defense.
When Mr, Steele told the judge how inappropriate he was in front of the jury, the judge kept saying i have been on the state as well, makes me so mad because he is not owning anything.
Glad you are covering this too. Definitely think the judge is Bias been watching the trial daily but I also think the jury sees it too.
How can he be doing a fine job and be unprepared at the same time?
Judge knows election time for the bench is around the corner and knows this is nationally covered especially in Fulton county Ga. Steele has had 25+ years spotless career of sheer skill and integrity. The judge knows it too.
I'm gonna have to give this one to the Defense Attorney. The judge gave ZERO indication he got it and needs some maturation in the humility dept. The way he kept interupting the Attorney, arguing and getting defensive speaks volumes of his actual inability to be fair and impartial. If he was truly fair and impartial he would have been able to listen attentively, admit his errors and take action to correct them in the eyes of the jury. Instead he doubled down and kept on about how he's a "professional jurist," or "referee," or the delays. Meanwhile his insecurities and lack of effective introspection will likely be the cause for a whole new trial.
