Great tips. I've found checking in with Walmart customer service saves a lot of hassle. Stores in major cities don't allow over night parking. I'm in the GTA of Toronto, so nothing here. Smaller places like Orillia, Owen Sound, North Bay everything is fine.
I’m so happy you have the opportunity to make this trip happen! I know you were really bummed when your trip was postponed indefinitely. Your channel looks awesome, looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos.
Love the tips. Funny, even if you just stated the metric units, I would have done the same thing; pausing the vid every time to look up the conversion!
I'm going to have to research where to get ice blocks Thoughts on changing oil, I would think it's simpler to just find a quick oil change place than take my own oil changing supplies.... but I suppose if I'm overlanding I'm not going to be near oil change places... hmmm
good idea about changing oil, Fj (2013) is a bit of work. Drop the front skidplate (10mm bolts), filter is cartridge type and required special tool to remove. much MORE of a hassle than the spin on filters normally used on 90% of trucks and cars..Why Toyota made this such a pain is beyond me. If you get the oil changed by someone else, mark a skid plate bolt and check to see if it was removed. I had a dealer fail to change the filter for a YEAR! Also double check the drain plug for tightness, this could really ruin your day if it is loose!
Cool video. Instead of chlorine tabs, have you considered water filtration system? I don’t know much about either, but my friend uses a hand pump to clean his water. Awesome videos.
Thanks man! And yes - I've used both before, but for the roadtrip I figured that I could just let the tabs to its thing while I continued to drive instead of having to add extra time pumping the water myself. Those pumps are good as they last a long time vs. always needing to buy more chlorine tabs. They also give you instant water instead of having to wait 30 mins to an hour for the tabs to completely dissolve. I recently bought this filter to take with me to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, but hadn't tried it since covid happened. amzn.to/3iH2yjR It's supposed to be really good, and you can even set it up so it does it's own slow trickle filtration!

Me and my husband are planning to drive Halifax to Vancouver this summer. This helps a lot preparing for the stop overs and what to prepare. ☺️
I love the use of the word swell. It is definitely not used as much these days.

Good advice, thanks. Could you turn down the background music some. It would help focus attention on to the points you are making.
