During Smash and grab after killing all the Zerg: Taldarim Executor: We thank you for your aid in killing the Zero helping keep the Xel'naga artifact secure, James Raynor. Jim: Oh I'm not done yet
"Thanks Kate! You heard it here first -- Jim Raynor, terrorizing your friendly Tal'darim neighbors! When we return, are your observers spying on you while you shower?"
You are literally on going the the zerg capital world where Kerrigan has all kinds of monstrosities waiting for you..........you would think that Stetmann could just pick something up off the ground for that last research point
He doesn't have the time and resources (nor the lab) to research stuff on Char and apply that research while they're in the middle of their little war against Kerrigan.
back in the day when I couldn't read I always asked my bigger brother what the objectives on the missions in SC1 were. He said, 'just always kill everything' and I did thanks for bringing back this memory haha
I also like to get the Hercules for Mobius Factor. It makes the mission so much easier when you are trying to rescue everyone, and its fast drop makes dealing with defenses much less of a pain.
It's also a great way to doomdrop into the Protoss bases in The Dig. No dealing with any bullshit ramps and the Hercules themselves after dropping provide nice aerial vision while soaking some hits with their huge hp pools. They can also be used in All-In for a similar purpose if you want to destroy the Zerg bases a different way than Hive Mind Emulator spam. Although for that, Kerrigan is way more annoying to deal with if you're not using mind controlled Brood Lords.
@@joshuakim5240 I wish Hercules had some guns to provide fire support to their transported troops. Like how the Space Marines' Razorback is both a transport and fire support in Warhammer 40k. That would really make them useful.
15:16 In the Moebius Factor you could already get the Wraith if you choose a different order of missions, so it is possible to destroy the tumors (it is also possible that a tumor can be destroyed by a nuke with a range of 12 and a radius of damage of 8 while a tank has only range of 13)
For Smash and Grab, it's sad that you can't grab the Artifact piece from the north. Despite the many considerations for unconventional player actions, that one was not taken into account.
Yep, there's 7 Spore Crawlers and a few Hydralisks right by it. The flying units just spawn on top of that location, even if you kill the army on the platform.
I can weirdly relate to how annoying it is to get forces onto the edges in Echoes of the future, as I spent way too much time trying to do just that. My reason was that I couldn't find the second obelisk due to me not having the brain cells to check the other side of the map. I then proceeded to die inside upon realizing that even if it was there, I couldn't have powered it and that I not only wasted 47 minutes, but I could have avoided it by just thinking for 5 seconds.
Fun fact the dig has a special cutscene if you kill all their buildings before the drill finishes. (And a few others you probably discovered, I haven't finished the vid yet) This was basically the way I played the game my first time through on every mission in all campains. EVERYTHING had to die.
Opening this video with an HK-47 quote could not have been the more perfect person to pick from. Honestly, it makes me wonder how much HK-47 would reveal in taking out the forces of StarCraft.
About the Outbreak mission, the infesters are as a matter of fact, actually BURROWED at those spots. Which means that you can have an SCV just build a missle turret during the day and kill it with no problem. Just be careful that it doesn't move out of detection range. If it takes damage it'll start burrowing away.
If you get through new folsom before the missions that require wiping protoss bases, nukes become your best friend. Make a bunch of silos, make nukes constantly, and just wipe the bases with constant strikes.
Which is great for "The Dig" as it can create an opening, using a lifted-off building or an air unit for vision, without triggering the Observer's attention.
I am blessed my recommended page finally brought this channel to my attention. Your challenge runs are great and your sense of humour is on-point for this stuff. I'm subscribed, and looking forward to seeing the rest of your stuff!
I'm kinda right there with you. Hercules is fairly underrated, but my brother and I made absurd use of it in the 7 Player WoL mod. Took the custom upgrade to allow you to put Infantry into Vehicle and Mech units, load those loaded Vehicles/Mechs into the Hercules and it becomes a flying bunker so long as it moves.
Great job on these missions, especially on The Great Train Robbery. Even though you didn't do the rest of the Rebellion missions I don't think any of them would pose a problem. Except maybe some out of the way units in Piercing the Shroud? And, of course, In Utter Darkness is just not doable. By the way, aren't there enemy units/buildings in the bottom right corner in All In, beyond the lava lake? I can see something there on the mission map on Liquipedia.
This was exactly how i use to play starfraft in the old days or any game. It wasnt enough to complete the object. I was clear the map or miscellaneous things beyond the mission.

I actually agree with the Hercules being underrated, especially for a normie casual player like me. My mission order was somewhat different since I used the Hercules on the terrazine mission. Screw that ramp, take Hercules and drop the bomb on them, they can answer to that. Also the first time I finished that mission due to curiosity if I could.
If you did all the bonuses, you should've had 25 Zerg Research without needing Tarsonis. You start with 3. +3 from Agria makes 6. +3 from Redstone makes 9. +2 from Meinhoff makes 11. +13 from the Ihan Crystal line (3, 3, 4, 3) makes 24. +3 from Tyrador reaches your cap of 25.
I personally didn't opt for In Utter Darkness, which is why I had to go to Tarsonis. I didn't think there was a way to include In Utter Darkness that wasn't just "this mission doesn't count lol", which felt a bit cheap in my opinion. Especially since the Ihan Crystal already had a mission that was strictly impossible.
Did laughed really hard, when you said "Guns n. Roses". I always hear "Welcome to the Jungle" from guns n. roses, when i read the title of the mission xD
I normally run Maw of the Void the way you did. Battleships with a med evac with SCVs to repair inbetween Yamato charges. And then a small unit of Vikings? ( the Vertical takeoff unit) to handle base defense with the new built Battleships. And constantly build Battleships.
Doing the 10th Anniversary achievement for the Evacuation, I felt very lazy so did it on Normal. It turns out that there is NO fail state for losing colonists, so I just kept murdering the colonists until I was ready to love out. Not sure Hanson was too impressed

the mission where you have to collect gas for tosh, I know for a fact, is a giant pain in the ass to clear with just units. a million psy storms, colossus, and tons of other units make it a nightmare to clear without heavy losses.
for the mobius factor, you should destroy the crawlers and creep tumors around the edges of the map. change the mission order and use wraiths for this.
I actually genocided all the post-evac Haven missions, including Haven's Fall, rather easily on hard. I had plotted things out to get battlecruisers as fast as possible so I ended up doing most of the side campaigns with BCs. Nothing in the campaign can really stand up to a horde of upgraded A-moving battlecruisers with regenerative bio-steel. Genocided all the Char missions too for fun.

its actually really easy to beat the dig by killing all the units if you have scan or any flying units that can gain you vision of the protoss basses. Just use the drill to blast all the pylons and probes and then rest of the forces are basically just dead in the water.
On the moebius factor if you did engine of destruction you would have access to the wraith which should be able to shoot that creep tumor. Would also be killable if you had hive mind and used a muta or brood lord. But using wraiths, you'd have to beat the train mission and kill everything without air to ground, and I don't see that being possible.
You're exactly right, I'm sure if you have some sort of weirdo AlphaStar build where marines are microed perfectly the Great Train Robbery *might* be possible without Banshees, but I'm honestly going to say it borders on mathematically impossible for a human.
I think that was an exception because when I played that mission you were pitched against a canonically unbeatable force where you WERE supposed to lose. lol
@@Kernverstand ok so i tested it out and it seems like i can't activate the stone zealot fight from the zerg's side of the artifact, but i can aid them in killing them. unfortunately, i lose the mission in doing so, like you said
Never done all in with broods, but honestly that looks kinda funny with that many of them basically removing Kerrigan from the game as all of her abilities are anti-terran

Waiiiit, where is "In Utter Darkness"? I am so dissapointed/
I think that was an exception because when I played that mission you were pitched against a canonically unbeatable force where you WERE supposed to lose. lol
Good job ! Good continuation
Love yer videos mate!
All you had to do is destroy those dam trains, CJ.
I tried so hard to include that in, but with all 50 billion "Maydays", I think it bordered on too much.
wait what about the set of stone zealots on the zerg's side of the map in smash and grab
If you kill them the zerg win so i can understand why he didnt kill them (but he probably forgot.)
@@Kernverstand ok so i tested it out and it seems like i can't activate the stone zealot fight from the zerg's side of the artifact, but i can aid them in killing them. unfortunately, i lose the mission in doing so, like you said
but what about in udder dankness!!!1!1!1!!1!!
On a real note, nice vid man
Never done all in with broods, but honestly that looks kinda funny with that many of them basically removing Kerrigan from the game as all of her abilities are anti-terran
