To nearly copy and paste another comment on Torterra: He's one of the best grass starters, which says a lot because Grass has a ton of really great starters across the board. I love him, 9/10
Hard question I actually love hitmonchan not only because it can learn a *ton* of tms but because it's a boxer and I love the image of it punching these massive God like beings, really makes me feel like I'm rooting for an underdog.
I honestly always preferred Hitmontop out of the 3, but I do think that whole evolution line with Tyrogue is a neat concept that I'm sad we haven't really gotten again. 6/10
My favorite Pokemon used to be Alakazam, because I've always been fond of fragile, high-damage, high-speed characters, but more recently I've gone the other way and now I think my favorite is probably Snorlax. It's slow as hell, but it's other stats are great, and it's bulk makes it really easy to set up for long-term plays. Plus it's huge move pool makes give it the element of surprise, and you can catch your opponent off guard really easily with random type coverage and utility moves they wouldn't normally account for. But the real reason it's my favorite is because back in the X/Y days, my sister and I would battle, and she would often beat me with her Mega-Gardevoir. So, I decided to change up my team by adding a Snorlax (it's insanely high SP. Def hard countered Gardevoir's moves) that knew Toxic and Rest. I never lost to her Gardevoir again. Yes, I am a scumbag, thanks for asking.
Thanks mate! And on Steelix, I have to say it's greatest travesty was it's gen 6 model. I loved seeing it rotate and spin in the air but Gen 6 made it's model look like a derpy steel snake that's trying really hard to stand up in the most uncomfortable way possible. Pre Gen 6, 8/10. Gen 6 and after, 4/10.
@Ryan Dick you literally cant beat any pokemon game with only a single pokemon- not enough pp and tm exploits dont work in most generations even if the tyranitar is level 100, and even if you have a few ethers and potions, you still wont be able to defeat the elite 4 due to pp ofc unless you mean you can use multiple tyranitar but whatever
3:47 I was watching the video while simultaneously hunting for a shiny Zigzagoon in Omega Ruby, I look up from my 3DS and my heart sinks, I've found it! Finnaly my shiny Zigzagoon... Then I realize the truth, the truth that Davey is mean and hates me personally.
Grats on your shiny! I remember something like that happening to me once, was shiny hunting for 12 hours, decided to go back to the Pokecenter to quit and I found a shiny Skiddo who's just super adorable. One of my most proud shinies, other then my shiny Wurmple in Ruby and shiny Shroomish in Emerald.
Sad story: when I was a wee lad, I encountered a shiny zigzagoon in the wild in Ruby. But I was but a child, before the age of easily accessible internet, and did not know of "shy-knees", and the color palette wasn't that different, so I had no idea what it was, and treated it like any other random encounter :'( I did catch a shiny tentacool later though, because its red parts become green so even a doofus like myself could see that it was different somehow.
God I loved Tropius, playing emerald as a kid. Mostly cause it had 4x weakness to ice and that was the first time I realized that dual types can be a drawback. And it was hilarious.
Favorite mon is Dustox. It is a very good moff, top quality, and the real reason I like it is that one of them single handedly saved the wildest nuzlocke run I've ever done. T'was of Blaze Black, a difficulty hack of Black, and Valna the Dustox carried the damn team on multiple occasions. What a hero.
Dustox is fucking great. Hugely underrated but I love him, especially since Wurmple was my first shiny and I was super ecstatic to find out if I was going to get a shiny Beautifly or Dustox. Although I did get Beautifly, the fact that shiny Dustox is literally just pepperoni pizza is so good. 9/10 And on the Nuzlocke point I had that happen twice with Togekiss. It went from a Pokemon I liked to my favorite Pokemon because it carried an entire run on it's back (was one of two Pokemon remaining ~5 gyms in a randomizer Nuzlocke, and single handedly got me to the end where I had multiple pseudo-legendaries and fantastic Pokemon) and then the literal next Nuzlocke it was my first route Pokemon. I knew from that point on it was meant to be.
My favorite pokemon is Poipole, because combining a prank loving monkey and poison/acid is a recipie for something straight out of the BloonsTD warcrime video.
Absolutely amazing channel, keep it up! I love that you don't hold back on insulting haters. It's so stupid to expect people to just sit there and eat other's insults and whining and not retaliate at all. Give them just what they deserve, meaningless taboo be damned!
My fav is Espeon. It's cool, its cute, and when I first got into the games in gen 5 it was damn good too! Magic Bounce is hilarious, you can get so many free turns with good predictions
I can't get away from Gyarados. Fell in love playing Yellow as a kid and years later when I played Platinum and got to see intimate plus Waterfall/DDance/Earthquake it finally felt like my boy got the justice he deserved for being a sick water dragon since day 1
Gyarados is a solid "oh fuck" Pokemon. You see that boy swapped out, and immediately you have to freak out over Dragon Dance. Doesn't help that it's coverage is genuinely insane
I was thinking of doing a true pacifist run myself, but saw you beat me to it. Great video btw. I also think toxic and confuse ray does not make a true pacifist run so I agree that the way you went for it beats the other. I was planning beating X-Y as I want the 1/8 instead of 1/16 from Iron Thornes /Rough Skin and if I can somehow just beat the first gym leader, Budew, Nidoran f and m and soon Hippotas and Ferroseed will be available. I think it will be possible and way easier then your run, if I can just beat that goddamn 1 gym.
For my favorite Pokemon, it depends whether glitch pokemon are allowed. If so: Then MissingNo., just cause I love learning about the inner workings of the early Pokemon games and how the game actually goes through the process of *creating* the pokemon right then and there, from a technical level, because it's not *planned* or *intended*, it just IS. I love it. If glitch Pokemon aren't allowed, then I'd have to go with Rattata, because due to a dumb mistake as a kid, I released my starter and went on to make it through the rest of the game with Chip as my de facto starter. Now I just really like Rattata.
Those dumbass playthroughs tend to really elevate a Pokemon for you. Togekiss went from a Pokemon I liked to my favorite because of 2 back-to-back Nuzlockes. Rattata is good because of FEAR though, I love that it's just a complete bastards pick
Base form Rotom ,mostly because he wiped out my entire team like 10 times before i managed to catch one, this was almost solely due to him having ominous wind
Rotom is pretty sick, if I had to be honest I just think it's kind of sick how Rotom is competitively, not a whole lot of Pokemon that can say they're ~5 different tiers at the same time.
Golurk has a God tier shiny, a sick design and cool origins. He's the only shiny I've masuda method'd for and is tied with feraligatr for my favorite mon.
Favorite pokemon is actually a recent switch, but oh my God Beedrill has absolutely carried my Volt White nuzlocke, it one-shot all of clays gym. I swear to God that thing has been doing crossfit between play sessions because it just keeps getting better. Close second is Bellossom, thing is an absolute monster with quiver dance and mega drain so far.
I think it's super neat, I think the only reason I don't like it more was how meh it was in Gen 3 because of no physical/special split so I never really got to use it. 7/10
Both are super good. I wish Aggron was a bit better competitively, but Metagross is just a all-around perfect Pseudo Legendary. Excluding Hydreigon it would definitely be my favorite Pseudo Legendary.
I enjoy pikachu. I have a soft little plushie from my youth. It reminds me of when my grandparents where still around. They didn't understand that pikachu was not a unique plushie.
Piplups just adorable, and it evolving into a badass like Empoleon is such a fun concept. Although Prinplup is probably the most iconic "Awkward teenager" middle evolution starter there is. 9/10
The description really hits different after watching pikasprey and jrose challenges. Comments absolutely packed with "why aren't you using full restores??" And "why not evolve? Ur dumb" from timmy age 7 with an edgy pokemon avatar who thinks EV training is what you do when you want an umbreon. Also my favourite pokemon is Linoone. MF carried me when I played Ruby as my first pokemon game. Sword and shield massacred my boy but he lives on in my heart.
I personally don't mind Galarian Linoone, I do think Obstagoon is a bit dumb looking though. Galarian Zigzagoon is so fucking cute though that I can't even mind it. Linoone is an easy 9/10 though, definitely prefer Zigzagoon but Linoone is still really respectable.
I love Corviknight because the regional birds are always so much better when they're not Normal Flying. I love my Staraptor and Swellow, but there's no fucking argument that Talonflame and Corviknight are just so much better in concept.
Hear me out beating a pokemon game with the last wild Pokemon you encountered So like each time you find a wild Pokemon you gotta catch it and then your last Pokemon you cought is the only one you can use (or last 6 idk)
My favorite pokemon is probably Morpeko. I was racing my sister to see which of us could find shiny Morpeko first, and after seeing his animation upon entering battle thousands of times, I love him so much. He does this thing where he roars and then just stares blankly at you with all two of his brain cells just thinking about what his next meal will be. Other contenders for me are Crobat and Piplup, though. All of their faces are both cute and funny to me lol.
To choose my favorite is hard as I love the entirety of the Vulpix line, but I guess Alolan Ninetales just edges out. Such a nice pokemon. Just a shame that Ice is such a horrible, horrible defensive type so the already squishy ninetales is even more squish
My favorite pokemon now is Goodra, just because purple and dragon. Before the Goodra era, it was Dragonair (and I am still weak for that poke). Runners are Kingdra, Dragonite, Dratini, Vulpix and Ninetails alola and Lapras
I really respect Goodra since it was really the first pseudo legendary since Dragonite to have that cutesy aesthetic, but it's not personally for me. 6/10
My favorite Pokemon is Absol. I LOVE the lore of it being hated when all it is trying to do is warn people of impending doom, but people assume that the disasters happen BECAUSE of Absol instead. Savage. Also, as a physical sweeper it's unmatched with razor claw, super luck, and all high crit moves- night slash, stone edge, shadow claw, and psycho cut. Every attack is a guaranteed crit. Max speed, max attack, game over. "Nice defensive setup... Goodbye."
Absol is a fucking kickass Pokemon, but sadly the one problem I had with it was how awful physical dark type Pokemon were in the generation it came out so I had to wait a long while to actually use it. Really quality pick
@@DaveyGunface that's fair. Absol really came into its own on HeartGold/SoulSilver and onward. When it originally came out there wasn't a lot of variance or interaction with abilities, items, and moves that make the game so complex in recent generations.
My favorite pokemon is Bidoof for two reasons: Firstly, I was drawn towards it because I used to love memey pokemon, and the only memeier pokemon is Magikarp, but Magikarp usually feels like a forced meme. Secondly, as my interests moved from liking what the internet likes to liking what I find cute, I've still stuck with Bidoof because I unironically think it's really cute.
Bidoof just has a history. I've never seen a Pokemon who started off conflicting so many people and over time started unifying them more and more. Zigzagoon is still MVP, but I respect the doof
I think cacturn with sandstream would be a great choice to the elite four, dark resists ghost and dark, and the grass resist the water types, and have a consistent healing with leech seed aswell.
Honestly every few weeks I just refresh this video, sort by new and try to respond to as many as I can, so necromancy is cool in this case. Sigilyph is honestly way too underrated, I understand why it doesn't appeal to people but honestly I love using it. Especially because of how much stupid builds you can give it in competitive, it can be completely memed to death. Flygon is strange. Honestly I've always preferred Vibrava and especially Trapinch, but I dig it. Wish it got more love though, I know it's been asked to death but honestly a Mega Flygon or any form of that nature could make it so badass.
I have a lot of favs, but there's just something special about Breloom. As a person who started their pokemon journeys with Sapphire, I like the derpy face of my lil guy that will fuck your shit up if you look at it funny --- or poison you until you can't go on. Plus its arms can stretch and either deliver a flurry of punches or wrap you in a big hug.
Breloom is awesome, also one of my first ever shinies back on Ruby. Really fun moveset with a lot of diversity on how you can run him and he's just a really great Pokemon to take in most playthroughs.
"Pleeeaase, just end the gd battle already! We're starving and my pokemon is slowly killing itself trying to uselessly struggle against you. Just put an end to this misery" "Lmao, no. Attacking pokemon is bad"
Braviary is my favourite pokemon. White 2 was my first pokemon game and that defiant braviary carried my team and its ability was awesome. I still have him almost 9 years later. I got white 2 for my 12th birthday in 2012 and I caught braviary either on Christmas or the day after. My birthday is the 23rd of December and I can't believe I've had this bundle of pixels for almost a decade. Makes me feel old even though I'm not even old enough to drink in America. Give me a month or so and I'll be legal in America.
Braviary is so good, I love it's design so much and I'm so glad that the mandatory Eagle Pokemon that they had to make in the America region ended up being so memorable. Also, the new Braviary form in Legends Arceus looks great
lmaooooooooo BASED. viewers are generally always idiots. we are a vicious horde that you cannot please no matter what you do. and i dont think its a taboo to mention that some viewers just dont give a single shit about how much work you put into your content. keep up the good work man :3
10/10. I don't think I have to elaborate, it's one of my favorite Fire types and one of my favorite Ghost types and it fucking wrecks in competitive. Great Pokemon
ngl i was triggered by SmallAnt run because his pokemon, despite not doing direct damage, still uses moves to damage his opponent. This run might be a pain in the ass but i'm glad someone managed to do it, congrats dude :D
Excadrill is my favorite steel and ground type by a huge margin. I love the concept of it a lot, and even though I don't watch the anime I always loved its animations
leafeon, glaceon, and sylveon are all pretty cool, and are very cute eveelutions, and are the best eveelutions, even if a certain copypasta has elevated the popularity of a certain fish cat
I'm going to go ahead and fight back the urge to say some really hipster-y "overrated" bullshit and give it a solid 8.5/10. It's a great design and it's no wonder it's really popular, just haven't really used it before
My favorite pokemon are between volcorona, houndoom, and pichu, volc because big fire bug with quiver dance is just fun to use and it was my first hunted shiny, houndoom because of its pokedex entries and just carrying me through multiple games and pichu because its my main in smash and its cute
hm? I was listening to this in the background while playing Brilliant Diamond, went into the comments and people seem to be sharing their favourite pokemon? Bet. My favourite is Piplup and it's evo line. Mostly because it was my first ever pokemon and it's first form is cute while the last is badass. Other favourites are also the zubat line (crobat especially) and vespiquen (underrated, pretty good tank but can also dish out pretty good damage for a bug)
Piplup is one of my favorite starters, it and Turtwig always make me so conflicted whenever I start up a Gen 4 playthrough. You're pretty much on the money though, it's such a cute design that evolves into a surprisingly badass final evolution with a great typing.
Nincada's entire evolution line is 10/10. Ninjask and Shedinja are two of my favorite Pokemon, so from a more unbiased standpoint it's probably my favorite evolutionary line. Corsola though, it's pretty good. I think the Galarian form gave me more appreciation for it, although I honestly wish Corsola was a Pokemon that you could get in more colors. It'd make sense and it's a neat concept, especially since Game Freak has been doing that more and more and put attention on ghost coral.
Can never decide between two pokemon, both the peliper line and Primaria, the two have always been my favorite since my first playthrough of Moon, which even though is probably the least favorite of most, it is my favorite. The two worked incredible, drizzle + u turn + damp rock, would work greatly for my super over leveled starter. A honorable one would also be levanny, just through a few different rom hacks I've played through
Honestly the thing I like the most about Pelipper is that it went from an NU/PU terrible "defensive" Pokemon to one of the highest tiers because it got drizzle and a few buffs. Probably the most whiplash I've ever gotten checking Pokemon tiers after skipping a generation lmao Don't really dig Primarina as much though, not sure what it is about it but I just don't really like it as much.
@@cjstewart5186 Fair, I always just found it a bit strange that the more masculine and more feminine designs for starters all have the exact same 87.5% Male ratio. I mean don't get me wrong there's always feminine guys, but wish they'd finally change it to 50/50 or maybe make the first 87.5% Female starter. Feels like a strange thematic if I had to be honest.
I knew at least one person had to have seen it. And Scolipede gets a 9.5, one of my favorite bug type Pokemon and for reasons purely coincidental Bug is my favorite type. Unova in particular did bug so much justice
@@DaveyGunface HOLD THE FLIP UP- I just made a startling realization... Your favorite type of pokemon is bug- and... and your dogs name is bug...- Based and Bugpilled!
I love Leafeons design, I wish it was a bit more competitively useful and more readily available in more Pokemon games (some games you have to get REALLY into the late game), but I love it honestly. Still wish we got more Eeveelutions and not just Eevee.
Espeon is one of my favorite Eeveelutions almost exclusively because of Magic Bounce tbh. Until Gen 6 only they and Xatu had it, and even at Gen 6 it was only a mega exclusive. Only now at Generation 8 do we have another Magic Bounce Pokemon, but I love that ability so much. It's so toxic
@@DaveyGunface Tbh I had to look t up because I never play anything past gen 4. Thats the pinnacle of pokemon in my book because once i finished gen 4 they released that mega evolution bs and they ruined it for me. But yeah magic bounce looks friggin amazing I can see why you like it so much.
Torterra is sick. It's a turtle, with a tree on its back! He's both a home and a homie
To nearly copy and paste another comment on Torterra: He's one of the best grass starters, which says a lot because Grass has a ton of really great starters across the board. I love him, 9/10

Serperior is badass. It has one of the most dumb yet fun competitive sets with Contrary Leaf Storm, and I think it's design is super cool. 9.5/10
When calmly say a curse word gets me everytime
Corviknight combines my two favorite things: dark knights and ravens.
I love Corviknight because the regional birds are always so much better when they're not Normal Flying. I love my Staraptor and Swellow, but there's no fucking argument that Talonflame and Corviknight are just so much better in concept.
Emo skarmory
Favorite pokemon is Quagsire, I'll wait.
Quagsire is neat, wasn't a big fan of him until I used him in competitive though. He's an absolute fucker and I love that about him. 8/10
why is this not getting recommended this is great
Hear me out beating a pokemon game with the last wild Pokemon you encountered
So like each time you find a wild Pokemon you gotta catch it and then your last Pokemon you cought is the only one you can use (or last 6 idk)
The description of this video is a good memento of a youtuber struggle XD
Thank you for actually sticking to the meaning of pacifism and not pretending that poisoning, burning or cursing your enemies to death is pacifist :D
You sound disturbingly similar to Alternate History Hub. Excellent video, I cannot wait to see what else you put out.
i think he sounds disturbingly similar to paul from mitten squad
I love all of your work. & my favorite Pokémon Is sylvyon.
Sylveons my favorite Eeveelution and I have way too many fond memories of abusing it on X/Y's launch. 9/10
Aw Bug is such a cute name for a dog
My favourite pokemon is Whimsicott if it wasnt already obvious
It may be an annoying bastard, but an annoying bastard with a really cute design. 7.5/10
@@DaveyGunface being an annoying bastard only makes it more relatable
Fair point, prankster is just a complete bastard of an ability and I love it
My favorite pokemon now is Goodra, just because purple and dragon.
Having such a cute pup in the corner immediately makes this video better.
Haven't watched the video yet, liked and subbed due to that description XD
I just love cro bat, i mean whats not ti love, he has giant ears and has two sets of wings
2 sets of wings is something I wish I could see more of. It's always an improvement and I don't see it as much as I'd love to. 8/10
My favorite pokemon is Bidoof for two reasons:
Firstly, I was drawn towards it because I used to love memey pokemon, and the only memeier pokemon is Magikarp, but Magikarp usually feels like a forced meme.
Tbh i love the blue egg with 90BP STAB Huge Power moves
Azumarill my beloved
I think cacturn with sandstream would be a great choice to the elite four, dark resists ghost and dark, and the grass resist the water types, and have a consistent healing with leech seed aswell.
This is necroposting but I'm putting my favorite Pokemon here anyway; Flygon, with Sigilyph as a close, close second.
Gastrodon. The green and blue one. Love a water ground slug creecha
@@DaveyGunface Can any of the Hidden Grotto mons in BW2 be shiny? If so, I wanna try and get a shiny Breloom from Pinwheel forest
"Pleeeaase, just end the gd battle already! We're starving and my pokemon is slowly killing itself trying to uselessly struggle against you. Just put an end to this misery"
"Lmao, no. Attacking pokemon is bad"
We are being whisked away to the tree dimension for this one!!!!!!
Oh shit! Whaddup dude who is not mitten squad?? Sick video!
Swablu is the best pokemon because happy cloud birb.
It sits on your head like a hat, 15/10

I wouldn't mind being dominated by Gard-
Great vid, never thought this was possible. Idk my favorite pokemon unfortunately.
Also, the new Braviary form in Legends Arceus looks great
9:56 the sarcasm is maxed out 😭
lmaooooooooo BASED. viewers are generally always idiots. we are a vicious horde that you cannot please no matter what you do. and i dont think its a taboo to mention that some viewers just dont give a single shit about how much work you put into your content. keep up the good work man :3
Liked the video, and favorite Pokémon is Chandelure
10/10. I don't think I have to elaborate, it's one of my favorite Fire types and one of my favorite Ghost types and it fucking wrecks in competitive. Great Pokemon
@@DaveyGunface actual chad take right there
ngl i was triggered by SmallAnt run because his pokemon, despite not doing direct damage, still uses moves to damage his opponent.
This run might be a pain in the ass but i'm glad someone managed to do it, congrats dude :D
my favourite pokemon is shiny falinks specifically (don't worry about why)
2:58 but I didn't say anything :( but overall what a good playthrough
My favorite Pokémon is excadrill, and great video guy on youtube
Excadrill is my favorite steel and ground type by a huge margin. I love the concept of it a lot, and even though I don't watch the anime I always loved its animations
leafeon, glaceon, and sylveon are all pretty cool, and are very cute eveelutions, and are the best eveelutions, even if a certain copypasta has elevated the popularity of a certain fish cat
In response to the description: Lucario, because it's one of the characters I play in SSBU.
I'm going to go ahead and fight back the urge to say some really hipster-y "overrated" bullshit and give it a solid 8.5/10. It's a great design and it's no wonder it's really popular, just haven't really used it before
Ahh its a tough choice I think its going to have to be the archen line (i know it sucks competitively but lil birb man)
Wow!
Fucko, you are strong, after all!
today i learned what a move reminder does
4:28 It's like trying to enter a house with a bike. Painfully annoying but cant do anything about it because its completely our fault.
My favorite pokemon are between volcorona, houndoom, and pichu, volc because big fire bug with quiver dance is just fun to use and it was my first hunted shiny, houndoom because of its pokedex entries and just carrying me through multiple games and pichu because its my main in smash and its cute
bro you got my sub you are entertaing af
bless the algorithm for finding you
"And everyone" shows gardevoir
My favorite pokemon is primarina because it was my first starter.
Design wise chingling is a yes but my for personal favorite I'm torn between fletchinder and torchic
Because
Cuddly chicken and big bird
Fav mon? hmm, _shrug_ the cool looking ones i guess?
Scoliopede is my favorite pokemon. He is a good boy.
To basically copy and paste another comment: One of the best bug types, and Unova was a generation full of fantastic bug types, 9.5/10
I remember do pacifist runs on Mario games year's ago/3
finally a pacifist run that doesn't use leech seed. respect
I like Corsola. And also Nincada. One of those is probably my favorite.
Probably the most whiplash I've ever gotten checking Pokemon tiers after skipping a generation lmao
Don't really dig Primarina as much though, not sure what it is about it but I just don't really like it as much.
@@DaveyGunface I've always liked the more feminine pokemon, so when it turned into a mermaid, it became a favorite.
What a Bruh moment and my favorite pokemon is Lopunny 😏
With your profile picture/name, I'm scared to ask why or even give you my opinion
I wanna see this man do a Nuzlock
Well I am currently working on a ~56-57 minute video on just that, so stay tuned I suppose
My favourite Pokemon is celibi. I like green and it is cute
Both respectable reasons, although shiny Celebi is definitely better IMO.
@@DaveyGunface fair
My favorite Pokemon is Scolipede. But anyway- I SAW THAT PICTURE OF BUG AT THE END THERE!
Your favorite type of pokemon is bug- and... and your dogs name is bug...- Based and Bugpilled!
good video, commenting for algorithim
My favorite pokemon? Hard question, but I have to settle on Leafeon. It just looks cute.
I love Leafeons design, I wish it was a bit more competitively useful and more readily available in more Pokemon games (some games you have to get REALLY into the late game), but I love it honestly. Still wish we got more Eeveelutions and not just Eevee.
My favorite is gulping. I started pokemon go and webcam. Afterwards Ditto and then Eevee/the eeveeloutions
GULPING DEEZ NUTS
sorry
I like turtwig because I think he’s neat :)
I actually went to high school with a guy named, no joke, "Steven Stoner".
Espeon. Its beautiful, powerful, sleek and deadly.
My man charjabug is a square and that’s awesome
Charjabug is a square, and it is awesome. I love Vikavolt to death as it's my favorite electric type, but I can not deny the bus.
