Had the pleasure to attend a couple of courses hosted by Miles.
Without a doubt one of the most brilliant men I've ever met.
A seasoned and very expert old school bartender who does not focus on Flairing or skill show offs.
He only focuses on the most important thing: to entertain the guest and make sure they have a great time.
    Incredibly professional, funny, sarcastic.

Excellent tutorial, the only difference with mine is that I prep cane sugar syrup by cooking the sugar with some water. It doesn't need to dissolve in the drink anymore.
Serves quicker if you not need to show the drink being made. And i like the sweetness of the cane sugar.
Good that you explained how the handle the mint in and on the glass.
    My compliments!

This is excellent. Finally a recipe that doesn't screw up the mint with muddling. Perfect! I just made it exactly as indicated. Delicious! And the only thing I DID muddle, was the sugar and it dissolved like nothing. No grittiness and no bitter leaves.

I think this is one of the better instructional Mojito videos that I have seen. The only problem I have is the ice. Because there is so much ice it creates weird proportions with the club soda, making a strong ass drink. Which is fine if that's what you're going for I guess. I would just rather have a moderately strong, semi-full drink than a shot of rum with a half shot of club soda splashed on top. The ice won't melt fast enough to make a difference.

So many people on either extreme of either "I hate it, this is wrong" or "OMG best ever" just make the damn drink or don't! I like the instruction on this one, I personally like the muddle and a bit less sugar to really get the flavor of a good white rum and a fresh mint. I've never slapped the mint rather I carress it and give each leaf a little kiss. Sarcasm of course, but I like a good variation. Good video sir.

Having been to some of the best and most famous bars in Havana I can assure you they use Havana Club never Bacardi, icecubes in stead of crushed ice, leave the whole twig intact in stead of using plucked leaves and they add a couple of drops of Angostura.

cut a half lime in to 6 pieces use(add 2cl limesirup) 2 barspoons brown sugar, muddle the lime with the sugar, put some soda water on it then put the mint leafs in, dont muddle the mint leafs just tapping with my hand on in, top it with crushed ice and fill the glass with rum (havana 3 ). Stir it good! then use two or three more lime pieces(put it in the glass) and the top of the mint leafs to dekorate, to make it rich! Cheers!

Muddling the mint doesn’t make it bitter… unless you have old mint that’s turning dark. Get some fresh mint and don’t be lazy and muddle it. Then filter it to remove the little pieces (unless you like it) and finish the drink and garnish. I make the best Mojito! • @Mixologygroupuk
