Bought my 09 in 2012 for 8600 bucks. Had 53k miles on it. Literally best purchase ive ever made. Running strong with about 135k miles(mostly to and from work vehicle)
My 2006 Torrent has almost 106k miles on it and I also have the problem with the ABS and Traction Control lights staying on all the time. The radio stays on for several minutes when you has just turned off the engine ,and turns off once you open any of the doors to get out, that is normall but, why don't you turn off the radio manually? I am very happy with my Torrent, and the price that used cars have now a days, I am going to keep it for many more years to come.
I did shut off manually but stayed lit up ..but I only had the Suv for a day or 2,my friend bought it from me..she likes it as she has used for house work/yard work..front seats folds over to lay flats did know that she found that out was a great feature for her to get fence into the suv..Im glad you are enjoying your Torrent ! Feel free to post anything in the future of anything going wrong! Thanks...Mike
@BaldadonisMike2021 think about buying a Torrent 2008 108,000 miles. but carfax showed no transmission fluid change ever. Will it hurt if I change it now? Also it was exempt from emissions testing do you know why? I thought all cars had to pass emission testing. Thanks for this video it's very helpful.
Same issues except the 2 quarks: door annoyance and radio. I don't have that problem. Lucky it's 88k mileage. Bought mine at 143,000. What has been repaired is the shaft (idk the technical term), changed the brakes pads and rotors (front) with help, air filters, O2 sensors up and down stream, rear wheel bearings (both driver and passenger..heard those are infamous), and replaced a tire. Next is the heater core and oil change. AC is not functional and was stated when I bought at the dealership. It's my winter vehicle so I don't really need it just the heat. Alot of unknowns but a work in progress. I consider it a learning experience because you never know.
I got a 2007 with 370,000 mi on it and it's stilllllllllll rocking. it ain't the prettiest looking thing on the road😂 but it's rock solid. ABS lights all that bullshit just ignore them basically meaningless. Traction control? Nope. Stabilitrack? Nope don't need it. I bought it when it had 220k and all those things didn't matter and I never intended on fixing them.
Aftermarket remote start and key lock will mess with radio. Also could be door harness the joint portion in the rubber boot wires can crack(more so on passenger side). I just pull the radio fuse when It would not shut off when door opened.
I got remote start quite a few years ago and have changed my radio multiple times since. I think this may be the real issue. Is it an installation issue or should the remote start be removed altogether. My radio will just go black or constantly restart itself.
I bought that 2.5 years ago for $4000 I think..I dont recall..but my friend bought it and lasted her another 1.5 years until she bought a new Mazda suv...
im about to buy one for 2500, an 09 with 170k. i just need an A-B car really. this kinda sounds like little silly issues. It'll be my weekend project lol. I have a tundra that will outlive me , so i dont need a totally functioning car, i need a beater lol
@@BaldadonisMike2021 gas lol the truck gets about 12mpg , I just want a heater to go back and forth to work and the store is all. Something that gets better mileage and something that won’t put wear and tear on my truck
