      Children's games? Hahahaha u prob have no clue the amount of grit and intensity it takes to do something like this or most other pro sports. Along with the determination and hardwork/dedication it takes along with being genetically elite. It's insanely tough and I'm not even a cross fit fan by any means but it's insane. Same goes for alot other pro sports like cycling for example u may not like someone like lance Armstrong but u have no clue how grueling what they do is. Ppl elite at CrossFit keep up a pace for hours. That ppl who are in great shape can only keep up with for 10 minutes that's how crazy it is

      @@MuayThaiTherapy I wish I were motivated to try Crossfit but I'm not. I'm one of those people that need to be pushed. Also, in NYC, it seems that every exercise class cost $20 - $30 an hour. I get it. Businesses have rent to pay but I can't afford this much money every day and, being a former competitive swimmer and waterpolo player, I know how much time is required to get proficient at something. 1 hour a day isn't enough.

People are willing to help you.

      @davidhunternyc1 3 роки тому

      @@MuayThaiTherapy I used to live in Cali too and yes there are plenty of monthly gym memberships that are cheap there. You can join a gym here for fairly cheap but if you want to join classes it's expensive. I tried yoga once. It was $30 for an hour and it was really only 45 minutes. Absolutely stupidly expensive so I did not go back. You were packed in like sardines too. It's insane how much money it costs to join classes of any kind here. Of course it's Covid so everything is closed but I'm looking into getting into beginner rowing classes on the Hudson River once it gets warmer. Indoor rowing classes aren't an option because I would have to travel on the subway for an hour to get there. Ugh, I keep looking. My friend is trying to convince me to try yoga again in front of my TV. I'll try that. I've got to do something. Covid has destroyed my motivation to do anything. The last time I saw someone was on the 4th of July.

      @@ROCKSWOT Not at all a baby. 2 years living in the WL Olympic Center doesn't make Mat a baby by the time he started CrossFit.
      I am a huge fan of Mat and know him personally. I am also a huge fan of Rich, whom I also know personally.
      Mat reign as individual will be, for sure, much longer than Rich's. And Rich's dominance on the field (points-wise) could never match Mat.
      However, if you started CrossFit more than 9 years, you should know that what Rich brought to the sport is still unrivaled. A guy, who never had a coach, with no professional sport background, who had an understanding of the sport, that still today remains unmatched and an emphatic connection to the community that is unrivaled.
      Mat comes from professional WL, did gymnastics in his early years, and was surrounded, since 2013, by professional coaches that improved his games enourmously.

    • @TheCureThatKillz
      @TheCureThatKillz 3 роки тому +6

      100% agree. So many CrossFit exercises are momentum based. Throwing form out the window. If they used proper form they wouldn’t be able to do half of what they actually do. But then again, that’s what CrossFit is: lift as much weight as you can as many times is your can in the quickest amount of time possible. Doesn’t matter how you move it or get it up. Personally, it makes no sense to me. Proper form is so so very crucial. Their bodies will be done by time their 40. Enjoy the rest of life struggling to function.

      @@tm2738 I was a competitive bodybuilder for 13 years. I am extremely knowledgeable in regards to these topics. I’m not wrong. The people that go to your gym in their 40s, 50s & 60s are irrelevant to my previous comment. CrossFit is extremely new. It hasn’t been around long enough to see the long term, permanent effects that it leaves on the human body after one retires from doing it for 30+ years. Take a good look at the struggles that a lot of retired pro bodybuilders have with their bodies. It’s pretty crazy. And those people are ones who understand that form builds muscle and understand how to properly do things to avoid injury. I know exactly what I’m talking about and I’m not wrong.

      @mech0p 3 роки тому +3

      @@TheCureThatKillz So lets go more into depth on your comment. Your saying that crossfit form is going to leave long lasting damage because the way theyre going about it and then say look at bodybuilders who follow proper form and still have massive issues in their later years. do you see the contradiction in your comment there? Like you said its fairly new so we have no idea the last effects and because theyre most likely more physically fit than most body builders there body may be able to handle the punishment better especially if thats what its been trained to do. Our bodies are amazing at adapting to the things we do so acting like you know how the majority of people are going to turn out ofter 20-30 years of crossfit is dumb.
