Just finished watching the 2020 games and he stated multiple times during the interviews that this was the way he trained and prefer to train. I miss Mat being on the comp floor

@@asmbyjk4577 I actually enjoy the men's games currently. Lot of great athletes and my personal favs Roman, Hopper, Sprague.. but seeing Mat post this just made me reminisce.
The fact that Mat still trains in complete silence shows the mental toughness he has, me, I have to have the music as loud as possible to drown out the intrusive thoughts I have.

This is probably my favorite type of video you’ve made. Just straight up grinding, no frills, just bangin away. I’d like to see more of this in future vids for sure. Honestly, I’d love to see what numbers in specifically heavy weightlifting you can hit over time. Id watch that for days.

Started training like this more and more over the years after seeing the 2020 documentary and hearing Matt comment about what it was like out on the rower with no music! People think I’m crazy when I do it but it’s great!
Got that training in the basement alone kinda vibe going on here. Classic Fraser. No music, no fancy camera tricks. Just a guy putting in the work 💪 💯

How long post surgery was this? I just had ACL/meniscus surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago, so getting back to working out normally again feel like it'll be 12 months down the road.

What do you do about pain? I workout daily and my knee, shoulder, and back ache and make it a struggle some days. The worst is my shoulder, about 5 weeks now and its hard to do some workouts, its horrible. No injury just started so I guess overuse? I work thru the pain but it just never goes away. Do you recommend anything? I workout at home mostly, not loaded so I cannot really do trainers/treatments its pretty much hard core stuff I come up with in my basement gym/garage.

Awesome video. Just a good old fashion grind session. Here is the real question. You have this awesome home gym, do you think Games Athlete Fraser (2016 - 2020) would like it, or would he have preferred the old gym in the basement/old garage and going to a gym for all things he couldn’t do in the basement? Seems like the basement helped build the monster we’ve come to see and love!
