      @@andreasblack1766 Not entirely. Kipping is the term used to describe forcefully kicking through your heels in order to elevate your hips. Gymnasts invented the movement and we still refer to it as kipping even if your feet do not meet the bar/rings. That being said a Ring Kip is an entirely different movement than this. A Rings Kip actually starts from an inverted hang. These would be called bent arm front uprises.

    All of you commenting about muscle up forms, are so quick to discredit the insane amount of work these guys put in year round. Also no one is claiming they are doing perfect form strict muscle ups, but they are still muscle ups just a different variation!!! If you do squats and I catch you quarter squatting which I know half you people commenting do, I’m not gonna come point out that you are half squatting when you could be full squatting. Just do your thing and let other people perform the fitness they wanna perform. CrossFit games athletes are the fittest people on the planet because they can do everything. If you think they can’t do strict muscle ups go check out 2016 regionals. They had to do 10 Rounds for time, 4 strict muscle ups!!!!!!!! They kip because it is most efficient and if it’s allowed and your competitors are doing it and you are competing for $275,000 and you kipping will get you closer to that and the title on a world stage, you would kip as well! However, you are not there because all of you complaining do not even have what it takes to be there. Also kipping is a tough skill to learn properly, I can assure you. Kipping strict however you wanna do it, not a single person complaining about the form could even come within a few minutes of Mat’s time.

      man i don't know if you ever listen to your physics and biology teachers, but I can assure you that every one of those ""athletes"" is gonna regret doing CrossFit. look at how fast they came down before suddenly and violently stopping. That isn't healthy at all, they're destroying their joints and they could have easily rip their biceps or lats. Now that they're young, they seem fit, but 10 to 20 years from now they'll be experiencing so much problems with their joints and muscles. Also, they are definitely not the fittest people, there are many chalistenic athletes who are far fitter, because they have to keep their mass lower to be able to move their body around. This ""athletes"" are too massive to do a lot of proper muscle ups.

      agreed but lets see you do the same amount of your type of muscle ups given a certain time period. They can do muscle ups but this type of competition is endurance based which is why they do spastic dolphin style to save energy.

      The documentary on Netflix reflects on that speculation and how it is false. All athletes are tested before and after the games to ensure no steroid use, in 2018 the athlete who won second place was disqualified because they found steroids in his system. Educate yourself

    • @anthonypink7361
      @anthonypink7361 4 роки тому

      @kelsey
      I’m not sure if you’re confirming my statement or not? You said the athlete that won second ( came second) second isn’t a win . Just my opinion.
      Everyone is definitely different and some may consider it a win.
      Had tested positive to steroids in 2018 which I would say confirms that some athletes are using steroids .
      And only the dumb ones get caught. If they had half a brain it’s easy to get around .
      If the people doing the tests performed some different tests then they would catch a lot more. The testing is pathetic.
      But like you said it’s on Netflix so if must be true .
      The first mistake you will make as an athlete trying to beat a drug test is the same mistake the general public make. That mistake is that you’re of the false perception that anti-doping organisations actually want to catch drug cheats. Let’s pretend for a moment anti-doping organisations actually wanted to catch drug cheats. You’d assume that the first test they’d run on an athlete would be the same, affordable blood test you or I would get when we’re running anabolic steroids. Eg for anti aging or TRT . A simple assay for testosterone, estrogen, LH, FSH, FAI, free test and SHBG. If you guessed that if an athlete is taking anabolic steroids that these lab values are going to come back a little “extraordinary,” then your guess would be correct. But anti-doping organisations DO NOT use these assays first. “Say what?” That’s right, they do not.
      But i like to be proven wrong so if there is anything I’m missing please fill free to educate me . It’s the only way we grow as people is to challenge one another. To be fair I haven’t seen the Netflix show you are talking about but at this stage I don’t think I need to.
