  • Part of my fight against fibromyalgia includes nutrition. A big part of nutrition is getting the most bio-available nutrients in your body. The most nutritious foods are organs.
It takes me about 20 minutes to prep kidneys that will feed us for the entire week.

I think you are mixing the references to insulin resistance and insulin sensitivity. You want your body to be insulin sensitive so the pancreas doesn't need to keep pumping out insulin to deal with glucose. When you are insulin resistant, cells block the absorption of glucose which makes the pancreas go into overdrive shoving glucose into fat cells. I may be oversimplified in the explanation but the gist is that you may want to check your terms to be sure. I noticed you said this the same way on another video. I just started cooking organ meats and like what I've had so far. Elk tongue slow-cooked to 6 hrs turned out really tender. It almost melted in my mouth - don't forget to peel off the outer skin layer.

You are my hero! I love the taste and texture of kidney. My mother would make steak and kidney pie, and my favorite bits were the kidneys. Just did a 5 oz beef kidney and onion sauté, and just loved it! I feel like I'm giving myself something so very nutritious. Just look at what animal parts the Inuit dig in to! They can survive (and thrive) with these beautiful organ meats! (even has vitamin C!) Your family is healthy and strong! Subscribed!

Insulin sensitivity is generally good, while insulin resistance is generally bad...but in your context, which you didn't mention, PUFAs(not specifically plant oils) cause insulin sensitivity in the fat cells. Your fat cells become sensitive to the effects of insulin and accumulate fat. You are still generally insulin sensitive at this point minus your fat cells along with other deliberate adaptive glucose sparing instances. Also that lard man...I'm so on the fence on it but I er on the side of caution. The good is that, fully hydrogenated lard means that theoretically the pufas turn into saturated fat, and unlike partial hydrogenation, full hydrogenation doesn't create transfats. The bad is that these lards are never only composed of hydrogenated lard(if you even want to trust that theory in the first place), it is still mostly composed of regular lard which has a fair bit of pufas compared to beef fat. Also, there are some uncertainties regarding the preservatives bha and bht. I'd just stick with butter, man. And clarify your butter for higher heat, or buy it already in that form.

I will advocate for the benefits of offal day and night , but you CAN get B vitamins from other sources, like fermented vegetables, are packed with B vitamins, even molasses is also rich in B vitamins too. I do both , I will eat grilled beef hearts with a side of fermented mustard greens . Vegetable oils do not create insulin sensitivity, hydrogenated oils do . Animal fat from a poor source can stress the liver , gallbladder and pancreas. All the garbage that the animals eat goes straight to the fat , Wich becomes a paste of toxins , Terrible for your you. When I make bone broth I always dispose of the tallow, unless is from a clean source , grass fed AND... Grass finished. Then yes , I love using duck fat to cook. Clean animal fat is great, but so is coconut oil, walnut oil, pumpkin seed oil and etc. Thanks for sharing your recipe, I absolutely love kidneys kabobs.
