How do you judge "best"? Freddie's voice was absolutely incredible - the range and pitch control was amazing. But what about Layne Staley? He lacked the range, but his pitch control was second to none. He could INSTANTLY hit the exact pitch he wanted any time he wanted. Not suggesting Layne was better - but I AM saying there have been many amazing singers and it's impossible to say which one is the "best".

PivotSeq You are thinking about vocoders, which is something different. Vocoders require a second track, either recorded or performed, to modulate the voice. Autotune on the other hand pitch corrects to the nearest note in the key of the song.

How do you judge "best"? Freddie's voice was absolutely incredible - the range and pitch control was amazing. But what about Layne Staley? He lacked the range, but his pitch control was second to none. He could INSTANTLY hit the exact pitch he wanted any time he wanted. Not suggesting Layne was better - but I AM saying there have been many amazing singers and it's impossible to say which one is the "best".

The movie ended with this song and the credits rolled and a part of me died a little. Still can't stop thinking about how I miss freddie & old queen so much. How did a song that's meant to be packed with adrenaline and hype you be super emotional? The fading of Freddie's voice at the ending of the song just breaks my heart a billon times over but this will never stop being my favourite Queen song.
