Chiliholic just that part? Where did you see that? (I'm legitimately asking, I'm curious). But even if the story is just for that one line, I don't think that Freddie's body could've managed doing too many takes at that point in his illness, so it's still an amazing thing what he did.

Empty spaces, what are we living for
Abandoned places, I guess we know the score
On and on, does anybody know what we are looking for
    Another hero, another mindless crime
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime
Hold the line, does anybody want to take it anymore
    The show must go on
The show must go on, yeah
    Inside my heart is breaking
    My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance
    Another heartache, another failed romance
On and on, does anybody know what we are living for?
I guess I'm learning (I'm learning learning learning)
    I must be warmer now
I'll soon be turning (turning turning turning)
    Round the corner now
    Outside the dawn is breaking
But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free
    The show must go on
The show must go on, yeah yeah
Ooh, inside my heart is breaking
    My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
Yeah yeah, whoa wo oh oh
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairy tales of yesterday will grow but never die
    I can fly, my friends
The show must go on (go on, go on, go on) yeah yeah
The show must go on (go on, go on, go on)
I'll face it with a grin
    I'm never giving in
    On, with the show
Ooh, I'll top the bill, I'll overkill
I have to find the will to carry on
    On with the show
    On with the show
The show, the show must go on
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on

You have to love the armchair critics...the men and women that couldn't hit a note if it were the broad side of a barn, yet describe his voice as 'weak'. They probably saw Rog say "It was an ailing voice - but still, he hit a note," and somehow interpreted that to mean Freddie's voice was weak.
He recorded some of his most beautiful...some of his most powerful vocals while ill.
    Much respect to him.

It's pretty admirable how he kept singing despite being extremely sick. That shows us that he was a warrior. I think even the members from Queen were like hesitant if Freddy could perform this song, but he was capable, and really killed It, and gave us this amazing song. I think "The Show Must Go On" is my favorite song by Queen. I really love it.

I found this accidentally. Freddy the magnificent singer, musician, prolific songwriter, and someone who knew how you felt is in this song. Now he gave us a candid glimpse of him. I am In tears as i write this because he meant so much to many of us in the 70's and 80's, and still does.. The man put body and soul into his music, and time and time again told the world it was for us, the fans. I for one am thankful he did all this for me.His lifestyle, crazy habits, temper tantrum's etc, is not our business. Our business is what the man gave us and still does all these years later. Bless you Fred.

You can't find any weakness in his voice. If you didn't know he was very sick back then, you wouldn't say that for sure. He made some of his best vocal performances in the last three albums, including in the material he left for Made In Heaven

Staggering, absolutely, mind-blowingly amazing. I am crying at how much power Freddie put into this even though he was so ill and to think it was done in one take is simply mind blowing, even Brian may was unsure he would be able to sing it, he must have been absolutely floored by Freddie vocals on this. His songs and vocals will always stand the test of time. A absolutely massive thank you for sharing this with the rest of the world.

Oh my god ,the line " on with the show " at 3.26 must have taken every drop of energy Freddie had left,,,i cant imagine the emotion in the studio for the guys in the band knowing their friend was in the last few weeks of life , he leaves them a haunting vocal that aches with such a heart breaking sense of longing and hope all at the same time,,,written by Brian May,full of screaming guitars with that legendary tone, this song will stay with me forever, peace.
