- VEGAS Pro 18 introduce the new dedicated motion tracking panel which make motion tracking in VEGAS Pro much more easier & reliable. You can track & send the tracking data to text, videos, photos, as well any OFX that contain location position with few clicks from the tracking panel.
This tutorial only applicable for VEGAS Pro 18 build 373 & above

Super tutorial! I just have a question, how can you use the masking with a moving object? It doesn't remain in the same position as the boat
The beziere mask aren’t design to comform on moving shapes like Mocha Pro.
Its very on par with Davinci Power Window for coloring/creative purposes

hi aiff, I wish to ask you a question. toward the end of the tutorial, you demonstrate motion tracking with a bezier mask. the 'motion tracker' text is actually one level higher than the ship mask on the track order, so why is the text displayed behind the ship mask instead of in front of it?
Masking the boat knocked out the rest of the photo on the timeline that enabled the mask. The bottom timeline is a duplicate of the boat photo but with the mask disabled. In other words, the text IS covering the entire bottom photo, but the above masked boat photo is covering both of them, as if the boat was by itself in an alpha channel.
I've got a few clips working pretty good! Thanks! I've run into an issue however, right now when I am working on covering my license plate frame by frame for one section due to shakiness of the video. BUT, when I click track frame, it deselects the motion tracking region and I have to click all over the video until it shows the region 1 again, but the tracking does not work when I try to advance it from that point, the regions just stays fixed on the screen.. any ideas?
Even when I click track to the end of the clip it does one frame and doesn't show me any progress... What is happening???

Even in professional works, we don't simply share projects without any T&C or legal form between editors/production house/agency & client. Plus this tutorial I made here is a demonstration & guidance on how to use VEGAS tracking features, your clip might be differ, hence applying the similar concept to your projects with this tutorials might help.
8:27 how to motion track a mask.
At 9:43 you "select bezier mask" from the drop down list, I followed your steps exactly but I can't see my bezier mask in the list. Any help? :(
