Finally a motion tracking in vegas :D Guess I am moving from 10 and 13 to 18 if all my plugins will work, if not gonna use it just for motion tracking The reason I am still using 10 is because thats the only version where all my plugins work correctly without any crashing on render when I use bunch of effects and layers combined (MBL, LUT, sapphire, BCC, RSMB, Ignit) 13 loads stuff much better than 10 but crashes on some specific effect combinations which I use for glitch effects Tried 15 and 17 but couldnt get all my plugins to work so yeah, back to older versions. Almost everything on my channel was made with Vegas 10, only problem was really long loading time if I had compressed high fps .mp4 clips (300-600 FPS)

Thanks! I just tried this myself for my new video and his tutorial is really helpful. One issue about VP 18 I've found so far is that Fabfilter plugin doesn't work, the plugin window would just freeze. I don't know about other 3rd party plugins, but in the meantime, I'd have to do most of the work on previous versions of VEGAS.
I believe you should be receiving your code today via email but am not 100% sure. I'd email magix just to be sure if you don't receive it in a few hours.
About your intro (awesome) is it inspired by Borderlands (videogame?) Text and also colors remind me of that ;) Great work also, love how simple vegas still is - and now powerful as well. Does 18 crash less often than 16 and 17? did you measure performance of rendering? maybe faster? thanks!
Thanks! The intro was actually just though up by messing around inside VEGAS Effects. I do love Borderlands though! 18 crashes less than 17 for me. The crashes were very little to begin with though so it's pretty rare I get a crash. 18 definitely is a bit faster than 17 while editing due to the new way the implement hardware encoding and decoding. They also changed around the way V18 cashes data a little bit so loading plugins is a bit faster along with taking screen shots. Rendering seems to be about the same performance as 17.
Excellent tutorial. Really nice new motion tracking implementation. Now if only Magix would integrate a dope auto rotoscoping tool similar to what Adobe does, Vegas Pro with it's quick efficient workflow would definitely be the NLE value blockbuster!
I'm trying to make the transition from Adobe After Effects, to Vegas. In Vegas Pro, how can we move & animate the vertexes and key frames? So that they follow a complex moving object. After Effects could do this 17 years ago. By now, doesn't Vegas have that feature?

I cant find anything new about vegas in 2022. I bought my vegas through steam 2022 and they have not realisead an update since 2021. Can I find some updates somewhere if there is some? Vegas Pro, initially an audio program is the best program for video and audio synchronization.! Why not updating this old multicam workflow, which is so inconvenient for adding camera angles or for updating the sync. in the multicamera track?

Is there yet a way (or already a way) to use this to apply the motion tracking to a crop/pan zoom? If I want to motion track a subject and crop the video to zoom in on that subject and track it without having to meticulously keyframe the pan track, would this help at all? Good guide tho

Hi. I just hit something on my screen and now my timeline added a video track and my preview window shows 2 video clips side-by-side while not playing a track. When playing, the window only has 1 video showing. Between the tracks is an "X". How do I get rid of this mode?
