Thank you for making this. One feature I loved in Vegas Pro 8 was that you had the ability to produce markers in the time line and name them. It was great because I used these markers for skits and plays for my school and it allowed me to jump from one sound effect to the next easily. Does Magix keep the same features as Vegas Pro 8 or has the interface completely changed since Sony sold the software. I switched to Final Cut Pro for video but I always thought the audio is easier to edit, splice, etc in Vegas.
Another question I had was Sonny Vegas * had problems with high definition. I have not watched your whole video, but have they fixed the real time problem with HD. You used to have to turn down the resolution when editing high definition video. I'm sure it is as well as the ability to save everything on a ssd drive. I'm tempted to purchase the newest version of this software again.
@@MrSven5678 The marker in timeline still there inside the latest VEGAS Pro. For HD video, VEGAS Pro is capable enuf to playback in real time, as long your PC is powerful enough. I able to playback 4K video in real time in VP18 with no problem. You can wait a bit more since VP19 is coming out soon. But I'm not sure when will it be release.
I'm already 17 minutes in and I can tell this will be a great tutorial. I recommend taking notes as there's much more to learn about Vegas. Overall, great video and I appreciate the effort put into this! Definitely recommending this to friends in the future.

The audio quality makes it hard to understand what you are saying at times. Early on in the video this is no issue since your teachings were on the basics, but later in the video when the topic was more complex I found myself straining to understand what you said. I'm not sure what your audio settings are, but that is the issue. Again, thank you so much.

As one who's watched many 19 Pro "tutorial" videos, I can't thank you enough for zooming in on the menus opened where I can ACTUALLY see what's in there and what you're clicking on. Soooo many people that do videos like this dash through what they are clicking on and the menus they open are so small you can never see or follow what they're doing. You open the menus, focus on them, zoom in on them so one can see what's in them and that is PRICELESS. This is the best tutorial for a complex NLE I've seen. Thank you sooo much for taking the time to make this. I'd be lost in Vegas 19 Post without it. Awesome job Alex.

Thank you for your hard work but just a small critique: don't minimize the screen you're explaining stuff on. I could barely see what you're doing. It would have worked a lot better if you used a full screen all the time for the slides.

Thanks! That red balls instrument is a Coloring Panel from Tangent, called Ripple. Cheapest panel you can own on the market for now. It work well with Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolves and few other applications. unfortunately it doesnt work well with VEGAS as they havent make any support for VEGAS grading panel. However I already send a request to VEGAS team to make the support available in the future.

This tutorial was edited with VEGAS Pro for sure, some graphical element like the Software history part, the 3D thumbnail at the end was done in VEGAS Effects software. VEGAS now has its own compositor & photo editing software just like Adobe AE & Ps/Lr. Its called VEGAS POST Suites, which contain VEGAS Pro, VEGAS Effects, VEGAS Image & SoundForge Pro.
i recently bought VP21 , coming from a very brief use og VP17 and before that i used sony vegas 13 years ago. You have any plan to make an updated version of this using 21 or are there no real changes from the one you are using in this vid?

Click on View > Window> and click the tab that when missing from the docking area. To bind to floated tab, hold Ctrl & try your best to release it at the far left (edge) of the docking area to group them. Or simply reset the window by go to View > window layout > default layout.
