***** Oh I am very aware. I find it more amusing than annoying tho. I have this bad habit where I make them attempt to continue guilt-tripping me by giving few simple words each reply. Outcome can be funny too.
***** I know. Tho I usually don't trust them because it doesn't matter what they say unless it's about the original subject. However they may feel, they cause the drama themselves.
In school a girl told me to draw her a realistic singer I drew Melanie Martinez in charcoal and pencil with my special tools at home and gave it to her as a gift then she started to tell everyone she drew it. Me on the other hand instead of being angry and confronting her I came to the table where she was still bragging to all her friends with my drawing in hand. and I came with paper and pencil and showed her a picture of a singer on my tablet and said "draw this, since you drew Melanie Martinez and can't stop bragging about your *own* art ,I'm sure you wouldn't mind showing us your art skills She tried to draw it she failed and then I drew the picture and showed everyone and then she finally admit she didn't draw it And the reason I did this is because everyone kept getting mad at me when they saw the other drawings I had that looked similar like the one I gave her with my own style and people said I stole her art and claiming it as my own So yeah full and true story in school
I want to screenshot your comment and look at it from time to time to make myself happy and get a kick out of how you brilliantly handled it, you savage xD Godddd that's amazing
My sister stole a lot of my line work FNAF drawings from my room and pretty much just colored them in and said they were hers. Mom was pissed because she knows I work really hard on my art and my sister just wants attention from boys (thats who she was sending them to) so she took them. They praised her for my drawings so when my mom took her phone and made her message all these boys saying she STOLE her sisters drawings she cried for like 2 days about it
@@ryder4125 where did she said she didn't loved her sister? Not letting someone you care about do wrong things is a way of showing love. If my sister was stealing from a store I wouldn't let her have her way, that would only be worse for her in the future. Tf
you forgot the ones who: -actually take it down -give credit to the wrong person -take it down, then post it later. but great video! i love your accent :D
or "I don't know who drew it,but it's not mine", as well as the inexperienced ones that believe that when something is out in the web, it's a public property you can reupload everywhere. But those aren't that bad, most just need to be told who is the artist. The worse are the one that don't give the credit on purpose.
+Devi Zakura agreed. But I would think the worst one is where they get someone else's art then change the color without giving credit to the owner. A lot of people in the furry fandom do it and it irks me so much.
Jaz Allison yeh but at least they add something themselves instead of removing the signature if there is any and claiming it as theirs, and insulting anyone who DARES to say otherwise. Still not cool tho
Lexi 'Babydoll' Barrow what about the accused one? some others aren't really thieves. they are just accused cause they're still new. now just by posting someone else's work in the internet makes him a thief, well, that means it's a cruel world afterall.
I even saw an acidental art stealer Its the type of stealer that forgot to give credits I think there is even this type that its the original artist that has a 2. account XD Sorry for bad english
The last art theft I had to deal with traced my friend's art, and so I told her to please take it down, (and told her once again in spanish when I realized she didn't speak english) and she actually apologized and took it down. She was a new artist and felt she couldn't make her own work without it looking bad. So I offered to help her develop a style, and now she's drawing original pieces. Woo.
Guys i wanna know if this is considerd art theft so pls tell me but i jse bases i find online and use them to draw but i never post them on any social media
10. The Apologetic One "I would appreciate if you could take down these drawings. They arent yours." *"IM SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSSOSOSOSOSOSO SORRY ILL TAKE IT DOWN RIGHT NOW"*
This girl at my school took my sketchbook and copied a few of the sketches I drew down on my own, and did the line art and colouring. She then later went around showing people and she got paid a bunch to do comissions, which she did by using my art style and copying off my deviantart. Later, one of my loyal friends was looking at my sketchbook and noticed some look very much like the other girl’s drawings. She asked me if I copied them, and I said no, she had taken my sketchbook and copied them but it was no use telling anybody because they wouldn’t believe me. Luckily, that friend was quite popular and went around telling everyone how that girl stole my art so everyone asked for their money back and started accusing her. Eventually it all ended and she got all salty about me. Either way, those people that got their money back instead spent it on buying comissions from me 😅
Crystal Pie the art theft wildreamz is describing are mostly the ones who take art for only the praise and likes. If a person stole someones art work and made money off of it then you could possibly be sued.
pla·gia·rism ˈplājəˌrizəm/Submit noun the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own. synonyms: copying, infringement of copyright, piracy, theft, stealing; informalcribbing "accusations of plagiarism" - Plagiarism it's self is illegal. Stealing art and passing it of as your own is considered plagiarism. The way it is described in the video is still art theft and it's still plagiarism but yes, they're probably using it only for praise. So they can't really get sued but they can get a copy right strike.
One time in class I drew something I was fairly proud of, and that doesn’t happen often with my artwork. My friend asked if he could have it, and I said sure. I had my signature on the back, but he erased it and wrote his signature. I asked him if I could have it back, because I drew it and I knew what would happen if he went around telling people he drew it. He said no, so I kicked over his stool and got my drawing back. Now I write my signatures in pen. And then later he asked me for a base and I said no. He then failed to try to grab my drawing and finish it. Because I got mad and smacked him. Also, while writing this, I realized my Spanish teacher is not very observant.
Once in 4th grade, I showed a "friend", a drawing. She liked it and asked to have it. I trusted her and said, "Sure,". The next day, i saw her with my other friends, (She wouldn't really hang out with us, so they didn't know her art style.) She was saying, "Yeah, I drew this a month ago or something and your friend Edyn, she stole it from me. I finally got it back." My friends didn't know I drew because I was worried that they didn't like it because they drew as well. So I went over there and my friends were saying stuff like, "Why would you steal her drawing like that?" Later they day during recess, I asked all of them to visit the swings. The girl who stole the drawing had it still flaunting it around. I asked to see the drawing and then I showed my signature and date of drawing it. The date was a week before I supposedly "stole" the drawing. My friends believed me. And now to this day, we all still hate that girl. She did way more than stealing drawings, by the way. She was basically a mean girl.
✨Cilia✨ I used to work for a company's website. Information is there bright as day when it was uploaded. If your art is taken off by a report, you have the right to complain and present evidence. It just means that the people who work in the website are incompetent and not really doing their job.
I've never seen that before. All the art thieves that I've seen send a storm of swears and when enough people go against them they play the victim card.
Sapphire Animates um no. You shouldn't be stealing art in the first place. And you can't just post art but give credit either, unless you have the artists permission.
On Instagram I found an art thief and she calls everyone "pigs" and "roaches" and she blocks out the watermark horribly, and she always goes like "NOOOOO I SWEAR ON MY LIF3 I DID NOT STEAL THIS ART!!!1!!1!1" I'm just like "Bro you literally put a giant white/black scribble on the original watermark lmao its so obvious you did steal it."
Oh. The only one I know who does that is that hoshi/yoshi person or something. And she'd bicker about why the artists she steals from blocked her like what??
i had someone tell me that if their art got stolen they would feel honored soo... and that their reposting was great 'exposure' .... also that I must earn my credit by being a "REAL ARTIST" whatever that means >_>
Kyo Pandaz I actually try to kinda hide the watermark in a way that at first glance you can’t see it but with a dit more time you will or at least I TRY to make it that way
The Awesomeness of Cupcakes But it does happen. I've asked people where'd they find a pie cf e of art they posted and they just said they found it on Google Images and they leave it at that. These are usually children and people who just don't know any better.
Takeru Takaishi Omg s ame. I'm dealing with someone right now that said they posted one of my drawings on some rp site and that they recolored it and claimed it to be theirs. I'm not joking when I say that they keep stating "I got the image from google so it's okay to do this" like.. no, it's not okay. They also keep stating that the character in the image is "their oc now." Honestly I don't know if they're just trolling and trying to get reactions from me, or if they're serious, but they need to stop. They are being extremely rude to me and my friends and refuse to listen.
Actually they are still stealing art Because they know that they did not draw that image they took, but even so they lie on purpose saying that it is theirs sorry for bad english ;~;
Or what I did and somewhat still do and just use it as a profile pic and nothing else and not claim it to be mine. (As I type this I'm changing it from a google image search for," purple furry," to a generic cat pic, not sure if it's changed yet)
Everybody's talking about art thieves they had to deal with so I'll share mine...... So I drew this picture of Undyne and posted it and then lots of people said they really liked it and one person ( the art thief ) said they wish that they could draw like me. So the next day I was checking my account when 5-6 people said I copied this person. I told them that I didn't copy them. They replied back that the person told them to tell me to stop copying my art work. I checked their account and I legit threw my phone on my bed. THAT PERSON FREAKING COPIED EVERY SINGLE DRAWING I POSTED! They said that they worked so hard on those drawings. I posted one of my best drawings a couple days later after having a "nice" chat with the art thief. NOT AN HOUR LATER THEY POSTED THE DRAWING! ( It was a picture of Sans and Frisk fighting ) That's when my drawing on my account got swarmed with " YOUR A COPY CAT!" or " YOU SHOULD MAKE YOUR OWN DRAWINGS " But then one of them made me lose it. They told me to kill my self for copying the " original " artist. I WENT OVER TO THAT OTHER PERSON'S ACCOUNT WHERE THEY POSTED THE DUMBEST THING!! They posted that I knew her and I steal " her drawings " and give them back after finished posting them and to tell me to Fu** off. That is when I lost it once again. CALL ME AN ART THIEF I WILL BE ANGRY! TO KILL MY SELF I'LL BE ANGRY TOO! BUT IF YOU USE A BAD WORD AGAINST ME I WILL MAKE THEM PAY! I had to act professional and stuff and tell them to stop copying my art. They told me to stop copying their art. Repeating 15 times when they told me to Fu** off again. I WENT RAGE MODE ON THEM AND TOLD THEM TO POST A NEW DRAWING BY TOMORROW! They said they couldn't cause personal reasons. If I tell you the rest of that girl's stupid stuff this comment would be too long. Over time her followers realized she was copying me and turned against her and she stopped copying my art. The End. BTW This all happened last week.
*Sigh* [bad english sorry] You can slove the poblem in many ways... 1. Report for copycat [duh] 2. Check the date you post ur drawing(example: you post ur drawing on Febuary 18 2018 13:30) then check theirs. If they post it for example is Febuary 19 [next day] or on Febuary 18 14:10 [Diffeend hour] then BOOM you have proof that THEY copycat u. There will be NO exuse for that and they will Shut down. The only exuse for that is: "What about the other drawings?~" Do the same with the other drawings. 3.Get back up (with ur friends) 4. Draw new drawing with details you EXACLY know (duh) its urs Then get photo of ur drawing. +Draw the date you draw ur drawing. Well Thats it...I hope it works.. Cuz *I* hate art thives
Ed Linares Oh, well Dane Senpai 's comment made me think you are mocking her. Though I think you were as you quoted her probably because she said the same line multiple times.
Here is a story time: Once, I was at school and a "partner" asked me to make him a kitten. I calmly did it, And I saw that it was and gave it to the teacher, The teacher thought he did it, But fortunately, A companion said that I did it, Because he recognized my style. Since then, that boy never stole my art. Sorry bad English.
This was a really long time ago but it still makes me angry. In 5th grade, a girl asked me to draw a character for her and I did. The next day she comes back with drawings she had traced over mine and added vampire fangs to. I called her out and her friend said "Its just art." Flash forward to high school, that same girl still copies my friends art and ideas all the time. She calls herself an artist but nothing she makes is original.
Ayy fellow artists, try this stuff if someone is gonna stealy your art: - Ask them to draw something for you. - Ask them about the layering. - Put your watermark or signature on the actual character or on the linework on its side/arm/head (usually nobody cuts off the upper body) instead of the corner. If it's traditional art at school, put your whole name there. It makes it harder to cover up with their thumb. - I've seen some art pieces with a DeviantArt watermark smack-dab in the center with the name of the artist. If it's digital, you can do that. - Challenge them to an art war. - This might be odd, and it might not be in your taste, but at school, show your art to people. Keep a binder and never leave it out of your sight. Show your friends and lunch table and let them peek at it (not watch, that's annoying) in class. Do that so people _know_ the art is yours, and not a thief's. - If it's a sketch and you honestly don't want to finish it, sign it anyways. Sketches are stolen too. - If you have a speedpaint of it, show the video and link it specifically to the channel. If they steal the video, then direct others to yours by advising them that yours has an earlier published date. (ex: if theirs is on Nov 24 and yours is on Nov 10) - Keep your notebook away from them and don't give/show them any more of your work. Even if it's a friend. A true friend wouldn't claim your work as their own. (sorry for the huge block of text)
Aura Rosalyn Tbh I don't think I would have to worry at school. The only other serious artist in my class is my friend and she has a different style. My school school (20-25 people) are also super unkind to new people for some reason. :P Or maybe that's because both of them were kinda jerks...
Alexis Torres That's actually really smart, if people see that there is a number missing in your little binder thing, them they start to suspect something, and if you write it in pen, then they have to white it out and the white out will be obvious!
i guess there are plently of designs for making signatures look longer. i haven't googled anything like that but i guess it's the time to say "be creative" or something.
I found an art thief who made a fnaf comic into pixel art and changed it slightly. I told them once I found the exact comic and posted it on the discord server. The thief left the server completely almost immediately. Then one of their pals started telling me that it was inspiration/reference when it was almost the exact same picture.
Actually, there are some people who do it on accident--like, they'll see a cool picture, and want to post it to another website that they're more active on, so they'll download the image and post it there, thinking it's the same as just sharing it. ...But then, on the other hand, when they get all defensive about it, or keep it up even though the artist asked them to take it down... yeah. That's not fun.
you forgot the type that blames you for art theft. i once got kicked out, and i was confused. when i checked out why, the website said i stole art. i logged onto another account to check it out. it turned out to be one of my original pieces, and not only that, it was my favorite at the time.
I remember drawing some art for a "friend" and the day after i see her with a group of people bragging about her drawing the art i gave her. Her thumb was covering the little watermark i did so no one saw and i came over there and grabbed the paper and said " wow you drew this? I never knew that your name started with an E! " I uncovered the watermark ( my watermark is an E and an S. My initials, her name was Kate ) she instantly started blushing and ran away. after the people who were crowded around complimented me for MY art. And said they were stupid for believing that Kate made the art. ( Kate is known for messing up stick figures :I ) Now Im getting a ton of commissions from people and im planning on starting an animation channel on youtube. Its been my dream since I was little. This is just one example of art theft. Its pretty annoying. Some people who have never had it happen to them say " omg stop overreacting its just a drawing :I " but its a big deal.
Me too. I lost my friend because of it. I really messed up and I wish I could just talk to them just one more time. Even if they don't wanna be my friend again I want them to know how sorry I am.
I say give her a chance, once somebody stole my friends artwork, my friend was salty but I actually taught the girl how to draw and she eventually became friends with the girl she stole from
You forgot a big one. Art thieves who steal your art, just to belittle it. I see reposts all the time from just reposting the images to making whole videos about it, and it's really frustrating. Literally they steal and post the image just to say "lol WTF is wrong with this person".
> making whole videos Now, the thing is. This thing here can actually not be considered a copyright issue, if the end result (critique, commentary etc.) would be considered transformative in some way rather than a direct and blatant reupload in, say, the form of a slideshow with some music. But I do agree on the other parts there.
That happened to me twice on Tumblr. Someone on dA was kind enough to send me the link the second time it happened. The first time I found out for myself... Ugh... Like if you don't like my art, how about you tell me?
Stealing art is bad but a girl on deviant art messaged me saying I was stealing art and it was a very long message telling me how bad it is and blah blah and when I asked her why do you think I stole art her explanation was at first because all of drawings didn’t look like they were made by the same person which isn’t true I don’t have one style yet I draw in different anime and chibi and cartoony styles but like they’re not that different and how some were super simple and some were more detailed like ok that doesn’t mean I’m stealing art I told her but she kept saying I did even though she had no proof anyways she would literally spam me with messages so I blocked her then later on I get a message from someone else claiming that she was the girl from before and that she has evidence and she going to expose me so I was like um yeah sure show me and her evidence was another users art it of a couple wearing a big scarf together and I had drawn me and my boyfriend wearing a big scarf together but like the style the pose and so much other things were very different from this other users art and I had never seen that picture before like ok sorry we both came up with a similar idea doesn’t mean I copied her but she insisted I copied that user and she even messaged the user and the user messaged me telling me to stop stealing her art I DIDNT STEAL ART and they literally both kept harassing me sorry but some of the deviant art users are so toxic ...
i agreed with the “style changes in the art” thing. Just because it a bit different doesn’t mean they stole it, it could just mean that they are trying new things
If they are saying that they are not guilty, challenge them to take a picture of a certain layer, if they can't show one, show the community that you are the true artist by giving a picture of a certain layer or a short video erasing a certain layer. BOOM hard evidence right there.
Bella Drawz maybe you should try to draw 2 layers just in case. No need to draw much, just use the other layer for lighting or foreshadowing. That should make a difference when you erase it.
Heck idk if anyone's still watching this but So my friend Irl loves my drawings and decides that taking my art and copying them is a good idea. I was extremely worried she would claim the art as her own so I confronted her. She claimed she just highly referenced the art and made her own copy, but I could tell she traced it badly. Luckily she took down the art but to this day she traces art. She also thought I traced my art but I don't do tracing anymore, it's unoriginal and tracing will get you yelled at xD. Lastly she has more followers then me and traces art, and I have original art snd barely any followers, so that's annoying.
Once I drew something really cool and my friend copied it and when I told her she was like "I can do what I want, youre not the boss of me" I came so close to punching her
"If you've got nothing to hide you should have no problem with surveillance." Which of course implies there's SOMEONE out there who has absolutely nothing to hide, but is old enough to know what surveillance IS.
the thing is everyone has something to hide. you don't go outside naked to show the whole world your naked body for a good very reason. you may have medical stuff, bank statements, ect. things that really need to be hidden and don't want just anyone seeing.
not really posting it online shouldn't automatically mean someone is going to steal it.what if it was in a art gallery since it's in a public space does that give someone the right to take a picture of it go make prints of it and say they made it.because that's what stealing art online basicly is taking a copy of someone works and claiming it as your own. it's insane the logic people have when it comes to things online.since it's public it must be usable.
star and fox "it shouldn't" Well of course you shouldn't steal art. But people will, thieves will steal as killers will murder. I am merely stating the way things are. I know that when my art becomes known people might steal it, I'm not going to flip out over every time someone uses my pictures for something. I'm not going to constantly ask people to take them down. It's a waste of time.
There was a person once who traced my drawing and did a really bad job with the coloring. Then, they wrote a date on it to be able to say that they drew it before me. When they posted it they framed me for art theft and people actually belived them. It was just traced in thick lines and flatcolored. ._. Then I told my followers on twitter about it and some nice people helped me out in the discussion. When the theft "proofed" that it was "drawn" some days ago, they sent us the picture's data. Created that day, saved in this part of the computer/mobile phone, etc. ...It was in the place where screenshots go when you take them. That means that they just set their mobile's time to that date and sent us the data of a screenshot. Well, that's what I call stupid. They never put it down though, they just deleted their account. But that's okay, too, I guess. Nearly all pictures they posted were traced and flatcolored. Why are those people existing.
That sounds laughable, humans these days. I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed of this contradictory species. We're like the generation of incredible and innovative people then we have the inherently dim ones..
I absolutely hate that. Especially when they don't even credit or say "It's based off the original" or something. They just do it, post it, and the end.
Hi everyone! I'm very grateful for the tremendous amount of support especially on this video. I really did not expect it to get so many views in such a short amount of time along with the subs! That aside, I just want you to know that my channel NOT dead. I was focusing more on improving my art style and techniques this year rather than animating. If you want to see my content more frequently, do visit my Instagram ( instagram.com/wildreamz ) where I post a lot more compared to my UA-cam channel. I have a new animation series in mind but I need more time to develop the idea before I can upload the first episode so please be patient! Thank you for reading and have a nice day! :)
your channel is amazing! you have put so much effort into the video and so you deserve the subs and the views!~ ♡♡ I wanna see more animation videos like these~!
+James Dorsey that's what I've done because you have to start somewhere, and sometimes it's hard to draw from scratch but don't upload it and take credit for it of course
+Ashlee Wenn tell that to my friend, my god I used to do it and he would get on my ass every time. the worst part is he's a better artist than me, and it made me feel inferior.
There was this one girl named Jackie who was tracing art. A ton of people called her out on it but she just either ignore it or denied it. Then she blocked everyone and changed her icon and name to Jenna. After doing that, she saying, "Hi this is Jenna Jackie's sister she's gone by gone I mean gone forever"
(I may not be an artist but I can paint pictures with words.) I suggest replying back with, "If you have such relations then do you know the copyright laws?" or to make it difficult for a classy reply, "Then explain how you drew it in detail, how long it took to draw it and how many layers that is(If that is digital art)." They'll have a hard time since it isn't theirs and if you have a speedpaint of it, then you can use it as proof of them stealing the art.Sorry for the lengthy reply.
I've only dealt with art theft one time and it was when I was in middle school (sixth grade) and let me tell you. She was one you forgot. 10: The Crybaby. "I'd appreciate if you didnt claim that art. It's not yours." "(While sobbing) Your so mean!! Me and my sister spent 3 days on that drawing!! You're lying!! My sister helped me with it!" The drawing she stole was a drawing of the Time Dragon from the book Wicked. And had the title of the book at the bottom of the drawing and also I had my signature by the wing of the dragon. So this is how it played out. From start to finish. So its the end of the day. And earlier in the day I gave my favorite teacher, my social studies teacher my drawing of the Time Dragon and one of my friend came up to me and opened up a folded paper. (And I NEVER told my drawings because I feel like it ruins them.) And it was the time dragon drawing. She asked if It was my drawing. Of course i respond "yes" and she says "oh, because Anjelika gave it to me and told me it was hers." I lost my shit. I stomped into the female dog's home-room she wasn't there. I turned around she was in the hall. I screamed at the top of my lungs. "ANJELIKA." Me and Anjelika used to be like best friends in 3rd grade before she moved schools then moved to the same middle school as I was in. And of course she purposely tries to avoid me. Scared as shit. And I follow her to the school bus stop. And I said her name loudly again. And she turned around and immediately started to sob. She tries to bullshit her way out of the predicament but she fails. And I confront her through the bus ride. I'll give you an accurate representation of what happened. Me: "Anjelika! That was *my* art. *My* hard work that you just stole." Anjelika: "(while sobbing) I didn't steal it! Me and my sister drew it!" Blah blah blah. I came home and told my mom about it and she flipped her shit. Being the hardcore Mexican mother she is she wrote a book on Facebook directed towards Anjelika's mom (because she knew her.) And all that Anjelika's mom did was like the post. And I had a band concert that same day later at night and I told my family and my aunt told me about this one story where my cousin got his $150 VISA gift card stolen which he was going to use to buy Christmas gifts for everyone. I am currently in 7th Grade, and I still hate her. Shes just as a crybaby now as she was then.
That must've sucked. Once this girl slapped me and I almost lost my shit so I was crying and a teacher came up to me and I told her that this *bi*- female dog slapped me so we went to the bus I was on and confronted her and she was kicked off the bus this could've ended horribly
theres only one way to find out if he/she is lying or not. ask him/her to draw that picture again with you infront of her.btw while she/he doing that, take the picture and give him/her a new paper and ask her/him to redraw THE SAME PICTURE that she/he drawn. like if that helps you
Theres a few more types of art stealers. 1. The claimer. They redraw your art horribly, and then when you ask them kindly to take it down, they complain like a whiney little baby to their followers, and their followers either support them, or just deny them. 2. The "Art Crediter" This person reposts your art without changing anything EXCEPT taking out the watermark. They take only the watermark, and say "All art belongs to respective owners." or some shit like that. 3. The Watermarker. This person is really a smart aleck. They take out your watermark, and claim that "oh, it was covering some of of the drawing and made it look bad so i removed it so people can enjoy it cleanly." OR THERES THE person who takes out your watermark, and puts in their own.
Oh yeah!! Theres the "I found it, and it didn't show the artist" person. They say that they "found the art on google" or some shit like that, and then claim that "the google page didn't link back to your site" and then you just facepalm.
Once I saw an art stealer who didn't even bother taking out the watermark, but people still believed him when he said that he drew it... People are idiots
I didnt understand one thing. If the person has a Fan page on facebook, for example, and post your fanart without giving proper credits, I know It's indeed wrong, but you still consider it "theft"? Because, It's not like the person said that he/she made that art. And it's not like somebody on the page will actually think that he/she made it.
2. The "Art Crediter" This person reposts your art without changing anything EXCEPT taking out the watermark. They take only the watermark, and say "All art belongs to respective owners." or some shit like that. that doesnt make sense in any way expect when people have personal issues with these artists why would they take out the watermark so that they can say "art belongs to their respective owner"? maybe the owner forgot the watermark, or the poster got the art from _another person_ who claimed it to be theirs, etc. etc. but it wouldnt make sense in any way to delete the watermark just because you want to write in the description "art belongs to their espective owner". i mean, come one
Fernandanatac It is still considered stealing, because most of the time, artists don't want their artwork on that site. Especially when the artist has their own, say, Twitter. And then boom. someone reposts their art as a "fan account" when clearly they can just retweet from the actual artist. Also, theres some people who never read any of the description on UA-cam where the artist is credited, and they think that the person on youtube is the real artist, and the fake information spreads.
This kind of stuff is happening to my sister because she has an Instagram account where she posts her art and some of our pets. Then there's this dipstick who steals her art, zooms in on the picture so you couldn't see the watermark, and in EVERY thing she copies from her, she puts a stupid #myart in the comments which doesn't make it seem even more obvious, but she ALSO stole a picture that was my sisters hand covered in paint, and she was saying in the comments" Omg I'm so clumsy I can't believe I made such a mess" when it was my sisters hand and not hers. The bad thing was that all of her friends believed her! So we tried to tell her to take it down but she keeps blocking us, then we make other accounts, then it keeps on going.
Try asking her to draw art and don't post any picture yet. If she says an excuse like "OHH IM BUSY" or something like that, then try to put the signature like near the head wear it's impossible to crop out
This is old but try putting the watermark on places near the center of the art so it's extremely hard to crop out and try and report them. Isn't that like copyright or something?
I had an experience with an art stealer that was saying to many people that an animation GinjaNinjaOWO did was theirs. They were obviously an eight year old according to how they were talking, the grammer and how bad of a liar they were. Just to see what they would do, I messaged them saying "Wow, you animated this?" they replyed saying yea. I then said, "The video said it was maid by GinjaNinjaOWO. I'm a really big fan of them." Then they said, oh. I then said "Wait, are you GinjaNinjaOWO?" AND THEY FREAKING SAID YES!! They were stealing art and impersonating someone. Anyway, I took screenshots and told GinjaNinjaOWO so they could take care of the art stealer.
It's weird how I see so many shitty artists complain about art theft. Like yeah it sucks but why would anyone steal art that isn't even good? It seems like alot of artists say they deal with them to make them sound more popular than they actually are
My guess is that some art thieves have an unusual taste in art or they target unpopular (and maybe bad to you) artworks so that they would not get caught easily :V Also if there are fanart that has been acknowledged by UA-camrs, etc. there's a chance that it'll get stolen so that the art thieves can get attention (that was the kind I had to deal)
+WildDreamz yeah that makes sense, sorry it's just I've seen everyone complain about them but then I never see them so I assume because there are a lot of really professional artists that don't really have an online presence that they can steal from and not get called out (not that it's right, it's still bad. But why risk getting caught?)
My "Popular Classmate" start stealing my drawings from my bag without anyone noticing but its alright for me because most of it a just plain black and white and is easy to draw but one time he doesnt have a Project from Art which is to draw and design your own character he stole mine so when i notice that its gone i said it to the teacher and i saw my PROJECT with my erased name and labeled with the name of that Bastard i told the teacher about it and the bastard said "its mine not yours soul" and then i said "um teacher can we go to the guidance office" i saw him freaking out he told the truth the teacher scolded him and suspended him from class plus his mother slapped him in front of my face My Mind: *He Deserves That*
A person on DA stole my art and not only tried to crop ONE of them and pasting a picture from a dress up game on it and posted it on her DA page, she also blocked me off after I asked her to take down my artwork that she stole AND unfaved my artwork, because she bribes others by faving thier work! Right now, she's posting official artwork that she's taken from other sites like Ebay.
I did, and they took down the stolen pics. However, being the brat that she is, she blocked me from making comments, because I asked her to take down my pictures that she stole.
I HATE those artists who have a lot of followers and then accuse someone of "stealing their style" just because it was the same pose. Then, that person has to take it down just because so many people are on their side.
I would really appreciate if u took that drawing its not yours I would really appreciate if u took that drawing its not yours says it 10 times sorry but it was getting to me
When I first started draw it was because of my best friend and I was inspired by her art, but I started trying to copy her art style and at time I saw she was upset about but she never said anything and being in 5th grade I didn't see anything wrong with it, but then I started to realize why it was bad, if I kept copying her art style people who saw my art before hers might say she was being art thief or vise versa, and that her artstyle might now be recognized as her own. So I stopped and threw the drawings of the copied art style away and began trying to find my own art style. I'm glad I did because I developed an art style of my own that I love! If your being an art thief like how I used to be, please stop. Find your own art style and be proud of it. (I did also apologize to her and she forgave me, yay!) Hopefully my experience will serve as a lesson for those art thief's
Don't worry when I cant come up with ideas I sometimes take some of a design and change it quite a bit so it doesn't exactly resemble it and I hand draw stuff and I have no printer
when I was in sixth grade, I did requests for people, and this one girl who I was friends with at the time asked if I would draw her. I said yes, obviously, and when I got home I started working on it. I finally got it done in class that morning and gave it to her. later that day, I was walking down the hallway and that girl was showing off my drawing. I supposed it was normal, as I ask people who request art to promote me, so I started walking again, until I heard, "yeah, of course I drew it. why?" I turned around so quick I almost got dizzy and stomped over to her. I confronted her about what she said and she just kind of shut down for a moment, stuttering out excuses. eventually, she apologized and told the truth to everyone she'd told about the drawing, so that was chill. oh, and we're still friends
I fear this might be my friend.. My friend is a compulsive liar. She makes up a lot of stories even though she's 2 years older than me, I just nod along. Sometimes I think she believes these things herself.. anyways the reason I think she might be a future art thief is because, I draw all the time, and one day I showed her a few of my drawings, and she said "Oh cool! how did you learn to draw that good?" And i said "I follow a lot of artists on social medias and just take inspiration from them and things around me" She nodded and the next day she sent me pictures of these drawings she did and they were spectacular, Like to say she never really drew they were really good, but in my head these drawings look familiar, Like i'd seen them somewhere.. So after we speak i go online and one of my favorite artists just uploaded a video so i get click on the video and straight away I recognise the art style, My friend had been copying and tracing this artists art, and claiming she did it all by herself, and didn't even credit the artist or say that say "inspired" her when she posted her "art" online. I confronted her and said " You didn't draw this just from the top of your head, you copied this artist." She kinda stuttered and said " Oh yea, I needed inspiration but I didn't like trace" Then I said "so then why'd you say you did it by yourself" She kinda just shifted to a different topic. But before any of this, She wanted me to digitally draw her something for her youtube channel banner, She liked mlp, so I just drew her OC and sent it to her to make it her banner, A few months after that,, she sent me a drawing she did of a pony, with pencil, And I said to myself "Okay.. the outlines are wonky, and disconnected, and I've seen that drawing before" Then it clicked.. SHE TRACED THE PONY DRAWING THAT I GAVE HER BECAUSE SHE FORGOT THAT I'M THE ONE WHO DREW IT FOR HER. I was actually in shock. ME the only person who helped her by giving her that digital drawing.. she literally forgot who drew it and traced it and she sent it to me like "I felt like drawing my oc what do ya think" And it was so obvious that she traced it off her ipad screen, I just let it slide, but to this day i don't send her my art anymore because she's the type of person who'd screenshot it and send it to all her friends like "look what i drew" the end
A few times people post stolen artwork and a way they are caught really easily is that it doesn't fit in with everything else XD like what are they thinking?
a old friend did that a few times 😂 one day he'll show me a drawing that'll be photo realistic then the next he'll show me something made by a beginner(he claimed every drawing he showed me) i got so mad at him and everyone who thought it wasnt stolen😂
Well with me i like to experiment so everything i put up looks like its done by a different person. All the art's mine, i used to trace poses but nothing else. Anyway my point is some people are just random. Mostly though yeah i agree with you.
Actually, it doesn't always work. Sometimes I will reverse image search for hours and get no luck. But hey, If I can't find the artist? Then I *_don't post the art_*_._
There is a 12 year old who youst to stalk me and she had stole almost all of what I drawn for 3 years an she is now a backup art theft and she blamed me for taking her art that was originally my art 2 times and first time, I did a little traditional artwork and I made fun of my artwork at the time and I'm in middle school sharing high school, and I drew it in 2nd hour and colored it in 5th hour and I drew a thick furry chinchilla with a big tail and ears and then 6th hour she drew a cat with a giant fluffy tail and big ears and called me out and I told her that I did not and I did it long before you did, but if you met me I don't want to hurt people's feeling but that time I was so fet up with it I told her to stop but she backed one friend in it and they told me to stop copying her and the second time we were watching a Alice in wonderland documentary about the writer and I couldn't see the movie so I asked to move up and we had to take notes, and I brought my little sketch book and after I took notes I doodled realistically cat from a book called warrior cats and the character was called scourge( if anyone knows) and when I moved back to my original seat she set her notebook on my desk and it was a fluffy cat on crack with a big butt and has furniture In the background( she's 12 remember) and she said it looked like hers and her friend said to stop it and they tried to take my notebook and take a picture of it and they tried to hold me back but they were weak and 12 years old so I held them back to take it back because I am very mature 14 year old( got held back once ) and I am very personal with my sketch book, and they were screaming at me to stop it and before I could say any thing they were just threatening and they have mental issues liked adhd and psychosis and stuff but it scares me but at the same time I'm cool with it and they blamed me with art theft and I'm being aunist to God that I did not and now I'm crying because what they have done to me including art theft and stuff and they ust to be my friends but they weren't loyal and have abandoned me and now I ust to be so fun but now I'm so depressed I'm not emo It's just they have ruined my life of what they haves done in the past, I remember when I had fun and laughed but I youst to be anorexic and i guess I'm emo but I'm really original with art, I hate people that take art without asking and blaming other people and now I cry I'm sorry to make it deppressing but this is what I half to deal with a regular basis I'm so sorry
*How to properly steal art* 1. Go to an art website 2.Steal art 3. Disable reviews and voting' 4.Remove comments saying you stole it 5. Block commenters that said it
i remember I saw some art thief in Instagram and everyone was telling them off then she posted something like "wow thank you all for being rude. I know I steal but that doesn't mean you should tell me to die(or something like that)all I wanted was to be a good artist" and everyone felt bad
I have this one friend who brags about his art to everyone, and he eventually started picking on me and my art, saying that his was better than mine and I should essentially aspire to be more like him. Whenever I brought up some of my drawings or took out my sketchbook to either draw in or show to my best friend (him and her are dating), he would always find a way to downgrade me and say that I'm doing something wrong, and give my "advice" on how to "correctly" draw certain things. He even turned my best friend against me, and for the fist time she negatively commented on my art. One time at lunch I almost started crying because he made my art feel genuinely worthless. I was so sick of him bragging I did some snooping around on his Instagram and found out that one of the pieces he bragged to me about was actually stolen from a different artist. Later on I found out that most of his other "artworks" where stolen as well. I told my best friend, and she apologized and was completely understanding. We have yet to talk to him about it, and honestly we probably aren't because that would be super awkward, but I'm super happy that he probably knows less about art than me and that he was wrong and lying the entire time :)
@Syroxity Thank you lol. Sorry for not responding sooner (I never got this notification) but he's still being an asshole and has continued to steal and trace art. He still puts himself above me and my other friends and next time he says something bad about my art I'm just gonna call him out and tell him if he really wanted to improve he should stop tracing and try to do things for himself.
What I do sometimes is I'll look up something I want to draw than take two or more pictures and take diffrent stuff from them and make a new drawing from it
Just be careful on what you use as reference unless if you really like their style and want to be able to draw like them. I've found several artists I like, but after learning how to really study the drawings I have picked out features from them that I like because they came out the way I like it. For instance, one artist colours in a way that I really like while another does anatomy in the way I would love to be able to draw in.
Why is this still getting views
dunno
idk it's been getting into my recommendeds so maybe that's the case for other people
Art theft is ghey.
cuz you're *awesome*
Yes
Once I caught an art thief and called them out and then they just started to give me a lecture about their dead parents and family abuse.
☣Tyrzi☣ what does that have to do with art theft???
jaymella thomas I have no idea.
☣Tyrzi☣ u never know.
In school a girl told me to draw her a realistic singer I drew Melanie Martinez in charcoal and pencil with my special tools at home and gave it to her as a gift then she started to tell everyone she drew it. Me on the other hand instead of being angry and confronting her I came to the table where she was still bragging to all her friends with my drawing in hand. and I came with paper and pencil and showed her a picture of a singer on my tablet and said "draw this, since you drew Melanie Martinez and can't stop bragging about your *own* art ,I'm sure you wouldn't mind showing us your art skills
She tried to draw it she failed and then I drew the picture and showed everyone and then she finally admit she didn't draw it
And the reason I did this is because everyone kept getting mad at me when they saw the other drawings I had that looked similar like the one I gave her with my own style and people said I stole her art and claiming it as my own
So yeah full and true story in school

My sister stole a lot of my line work FNAF drawings from my room and pretty much just colored them in and said they were hers. Mom was pissed because she knows I work really hard on my art and my sister just wants attention from boys (thats who she was sending them to) so she took them. They praised her for my drawings so when my mom took her phone and made her message all these boys saying she STOLE her sisters drawings she cried for like 2 days about it

you forgot the ones who:
-actually take it down
-give credit to the wrong person
-take it down, then post it later.
but great video! i love your accent :D
or "I don't know who drew it,but it's not mine", as well as the inexperienced ones that believe that when something is out in the web, it's a public property you can reupload everywhere.
+safnhuo Oh, and when they also don't give credit because the watermark is in the photo, even when it's tiny or not even the name.
Dont forget the most annoying one. "ITS FAIR USE, OKAY?!"
Should've added a tenth one: The honest art stealer.
Stealer: Alright.. I stole your art. I'll take it down if you want.
Lexi 'Babydoll' Barrow that's what I was thinking
Lexi 'Babydoll' Barrow lmfao in what universe does that art thief exist?
Lexi 'Babydoll' Barrow what about the accused one? some others aren't really thieves. they are just accused cause they're still new. now just by posting someone else's work in the internet makes him a thief, well, that means it's a cruel world afterall.
Lexi 'Babydoll' Barrow is there even those types?
I even saw an acidental art stealer
Its the type of stealer that forgot to give credits
I think there is even this type that its the original artist that has a 2. account XD
Sorry for bad english

The last art theft I had to deal with traced my friend's art, and so I told her to please take it down, (and told her once again in spanish when I realized she didn't speak english) and she actually apologized and took it down. She was a new artist and felt she couldn't make her own work without it looking bad. So I offered to help her develop a style, and now she's drawing original pieces. Woo.
I've never though an art theft could be good. Is this isn't an art theft comment but I dont draw in public cause aim not that good.

Robyn Mentee Art theft is plagiarism.
Crystal Pie the art theft wildreamz is describing are mostly the ones who take art for only the praise and likes. If a person stole someones art work and made money off of it then you could possibly be sued.

Plagiarism it's self is illegal.
Cameras the videos will prove it
Bruh- Spanish teachers don’t care about anything but themselves and Spanish also that’s really messed up, since they had the physical copy

I know right!!
hi!!lol
Omg hey! I saw u twice
Time Bomb lol
I think it's just an accent.
Rip you
r/thathappened
I'm glad you won the fight.
*Sigh* [bad english sorry]
You can slove the poblem in many ways...
1. Report for copycat [duh]
2. Check the date you post ur drawing(example: you post ur drawing on Febuary 18 2018 13:30) then check theirs. If they post it for example is Febuary 19 [next day] or on Febuary 18 14:10
[Diffeend hour] then BOOM you have proof that THEY copycat u.
There will be NO exuse for that and they will Shut down. The only exuse for that is: "What about the other drawings?~"
Do the same with the other drawings.
3.Get back up (with ur friends)
4. Draw new drawing with details you EXACLY know (duh) its urs
Then get photo of ur drawing.
+Draw the date you draw ur drawing.
Well Thats it...I hope it works..
Cuz *I* hate art thives
Seashrimp 87 my friend had to deal with a art thief too almost as bad as yours sorry to hear you had to go through all of that
I swear if hear "it's not yours " again I will start breaking shit
But

Ed Linares B-But..lol
Ed Linares that's just downright mean. ;^;
Ed Linares She's Singaporean, give her a break.
Dan and Phil's kink ...i was only quoting her
Ed Linares Oh, well Dane Senpai 's comment made me think you are mocking her. Though I think you were as you quoted her probably because she said the same line multiple times.
Here is a story time:
Once, I was at school and a "partner" asked me to make him a kitten. I calmly did it, And I saw that it was and gave it to the teacher, The teacher thought he did it, But fortunately, A companion said that I did it, Because he recognized my style. Since then, that boy never stole my art.
Sorry bad English.
Pazhe :v where are u from?
Iida Hamari I am from Argentina, I speak spanish.
Celia Lazuli Yep, I get it.
I used the google translator, And the grammar is bad :'v
Paz Pazhey i speak spanish and english :V
Very nice Kakyoin pfp lol
This was a really long time ago but it still makes me angry. In 5th grade, a girl asked me to draw a character for her and I did. The next day she comes back with drawings she had traced over mine and added vampire fangs to. I called her out and her friend said "Its just art." Flash forward to high school, that same girl still copies my friends art and ideas all the time. She calls herself an artist but nothing she makes is original.
That girl is laaaameee
Oh bruh
I can’t be original..I have to draw something by eye...he what I mean?
But I don’t steal art..
RandM Gazorpazorp I’m having a hard time trying to understand wtf you just said
Ayy fellow artists, try this stuff if someone is gonna stealy your art:
- Ask them to draw something for you.
(ex: if theirs is on Nov 24 and yours is on Nov 10)
- Keep your notebook away from them and don't give/show them any more of your work.
Aura Rosalyn what I do is I number the pages so if someone steals it people might see that the page is missing .....ye idk..
Alexis Torres That's actually really smart, if people see that there is a number missing in your little binder thing, them they start to suspect something, and if you write it in pen, then they have to white it out and the white out will be obvious!
Aura Rosalyn what if your name is really short?
i guess there are plently of designs for making signatures look longer. i haven't googled anything like that but i guess it's the time to say "be creative" or something.
I found an art thief who made a fnaf comic into pixel art and changed it slightly. I told them once I found the exact comic and posted it on the discord server. The thief left the server completely almost immediately. Then one of their pals started telling me that it was inspiration/reference when it was almost the exact same picture.
BoSox Pig me too
My artwork is too crappy to be reposted so I guess I'm good for now
same tbh
same tho
Ifunny? I got chu fam
saaaaaaaaaame
same though
Someone say I steal other art...
He say he see it in tumblr..
But I'm the one who make it....
夜犽akaru [illuminati music starts playing]
YEE
I wonder why people steal art in the first place...
France Bridrijo to get popular,
France Bridrijo Because some people are just stupid c:
So they can get money and have credit for it. So they can be popular, and they suck at drawing
France Bridrijo because they have no brains, talent, kindness or abilites and just are jealous they cant do that because they dont even try
*I'll appreciate if you take down this drawing, its not yours*
Melaine Pilota I'll appreciate if you take down this comment, its not yours
/deletes comment/
Silver I didn't steal this art, I redrew it!
Silver ,....................................,..
..
Rozzi Lou *yes, you did*
I saw a art thief once, he defended himself with stale memes.
that screams 10 year old alert XD
Oh shoot what memes?
Im Hungry Memes like "THIS IS SPARTA"
Tillie Scherzer stuck in the past
Ugh,so stale.
you forgot the type that blames you for art theft. i once got kicked out, and i was confused. when i checked out why, the website said i stole art. i logged onto another account to check it out. it turned out to be one of my original pieces, and not only that, it was my favorite at the time.
One time my art was stolen and they turned into a four year old who was just hacked on minecraft AND roblox. It was awful to deal with.
Adventura roblox and minecraft sucks anyway
wichitphun mundej true
offended
wichitphun mundej i
I remember drawing some art for a "friend" and the day after i see her with a group of people bragging about her drawing the art i gave her. ( Kate is known for messing up stick figures :I )
Now Im getting a ton of commissions from people and im planning on starting an animation channel on youtube. Its been my dream since I was little. This is just one example of art theft. Its pretty annoying. Some people who have never had it happen to them say " omg stop overreacting its just a drawing :I " but its a big deal.
Evenmorespinnyboiz
i still cant believe she mess up STICKMANS
Evenmorespinnyboiz i admit i cant draw circles properly but wow
beans
Evenmorespinnyboiz BEANS :DDDDD
Evenmorespinnyboiz *BEANS*
I remember when I stole art. everyone hated me for it... so I stopped stealing And made my own art... and I guess I'm good now.
Good on you, man 😁
Me too. I lost my friend because of it. I really messed up and I wish I could just talk to them just one more time. Even if they don't wanna be my friend again I want them to know how sorry I am.
Alexis fuck off.
SunDemon Gaming No thanks. Maybe go learn how to be nice, then I might consider your offer.
So question, why did you do it?
I have an artstealer who is copying, and say she is not .She wanna be my friend
LIKE DAT IS GONNA HAPPENING
Seacatt that happened to me
I know you won't see this comment but your profile picture is perfect for what your saying
"Like dat is gonna happening"
Grammar award goes to you
OverflowingTrash How the hell does that even happen?
I say give her a chance, once somebody stole my friends artwork, my friend was salty but I actually taught the girl how to draw and she eventually became friends with the girl she stole from
I love your voice, it's adorable.
ikrrr
+A Pet Named Steve Love the name buddy
She sounds like BMO 😆
+Genevieve Antoinette tbh I think she sounds like garnet with a higher pitched voice
same
You forgot a big one. Art thieves who steal your art, just to belittle it. I see reposts all the time from just reposting the images to making whole videos about it, and it's really frustrating. Literally they steal and post the image just to say "lol WTF is wrong with this person".
So, basically the image version of cringe compilations?
That's one example of those people.
> making whole videos
Now, the thing is.
Ahh, those ''TerribleOC's'' or ''TerribleArt'' accounts.. I bet those are runned by a bunch of untalented hypocrites.
i was expecting some 'crawling in my skin' earrape at the emo art stealer part
ok but that would have made it even better
Thank you, you've reminded me of the lyrics, now I will go torture people.
That icon looks similar.... Lmao
Thank the creator for not doing that.
I don't really understand why people associate one of my favorite bands with emos. What the fuck?
That's why I don't go on DA.
Can I curse them out plz
Sentences exist lmao
RIP your thumbs for typing this
i agreed with the “style changes in the art” thing.
This is actually a really good idea.
̶B̶u̶t̶ ̶I̶'̶m̶ ̶a̶ ̶l̶a̶z̶y̶ ̶p̶i̶e̶c̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶s̶h̶i̶t̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶ ̶o̶n̶l̶y̶ ̶u̶s̶e̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶l̶a̶y̶e̶r̶ ̶m̶o̶s̶t̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶i̶m̶e̶ ̶;̶-̶;̶
something i've thought about too! SO long as you never deleted the original working file, it should be doable. -
Bella Drawz maybe you should try to draw 2 layers just in case. No need to draw much, just use the other layer for lighting or foreshadowing. That should make a difference when you erase it.
Or the lines
Funny this popped up again since its been awhile since I've seen it XD Someone is accusing me of stealing *my own* art and its hilarious.
WE GATTA CALL DA 9/11 BCUZ GEMINIGOLD STEALED GEMINIGOLD ART
XD
Those people are ignorant
Emily Barnett nice profile pic, flowey
GeminiGold27 report them for being stupid
GeminiGold27 that happened to me last year.
**Hears voice** OMG U FROM STEVEN UNIVERSE?!? XD sorry. You have an amazing voice.
Ikr! Her voice is so cute! I love it
Yeah it's like garnets voice
H. R. Welker b.
Brian Animations not even close
The this is not yours part sounds like garner a bit
Heck idk if anyone's still watching this but
So my friend Irl loves my drawings and decides that taking my art and copying them is a good idea.
Once I drew something really cool and my friend copied it and when I told her she was like "I can do what I want, youre not the boss of me" I came so close to punching her
RonniesWorld same oh my god but she was like UGH ISNT IT GOOD IT MEANS I LIKE YOUR ART
RonniesWorld salad fingers
OMG IV HAD THE SAME AND SHE WENT AROUND SCHOOL SAYING THAT I WAS THE ONE WHO COPPED HER OMG I HATE PPL LILE THAT
First world problems
"Don't want your art stolen? Don't post it online!" Don't want your car stolen? Don't buy it in the first place!
"If you've got nothing to hide you should have no problem with surveillance."
Which of course implies there's SOMEONE out there who has absolutely nothing to hide, but is old enough to know what surveillance IS.
the thing is everyone has something to hide.
you don't go outside naked to show the whole world your naked body for a good very reason.
you may have medical stuff, bank statements, ect. things that really need to be hidden and don't want just anyone seeing.
i have nothing to hide
i go outside naked
checkmate, space dog
not really posting it online shouldn't automatically mean someone is going to steal it.what if it was in a art gallery since it's in a public space does that give someone the right to take a picture of it go make prints of it and say they made it.because that's what stealing art online basicly is taking a copy of someone works and claiming it as your own.
it's insane the logic people have when it comes to things online.since it's public it must be usable.
star and fox "it shouldn't" Well of course you shouldn't steal art. But people will, thieves will steal as killers will murder. I am merely stating the way things are. I know that when my art becomes known people might steal it, I'm not going to flip out over every time someone uses my pictures for something. I'm not going to constantly ask people to take them down. It's a waste of time.
this is me. because I'm part of a group called 'art police'. it's pretty cool. we've taken down 4 accounts so far.
so cool man~
Wow senpai how is u do dat?
I'm part of the "art police" on Sony Sketch (a mobile art sharing app). It's noice.
thats cool! I'm on Instagram.
Whats ur insta? Can i join? Its ok if no
*I WOULD APPRECIATE IF TOOK DOWN THIS DRAWING, IT'S NOT YOURS*
oh man don't forget the people who instead accuse the original artist of stealing from THEM! I've seen that happen before
Those...WERE in the video. They're the "bad liars".
I saw that more of a "I drew this myself" and not a "you're saying that to deflect accusations"
Thats actually happened to me before, but I only spent like 10 minutes on that drawing so I didnt really bother
If it happens, it could go up to a $150,000 fine, with the minimum being $200. At least, that's the laws for copyright infringement in the US
That's happen to me before :( ~Neko
***** I was travelling with my family that time and it kind of ruined my day. Why would anyone do that?
***** Better question: Why would anyone want to do that or have the idea?
This is disgusting, seriously.
That sounds laughable, humans these days. I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed of this contradictory species. We're like the generation of incredible and innovative people then we have the inherently dim ones..
Those people are the reason why this world is so rotten.
I absolutely hate that. Especially when they don't even credit or say "It's based off the original" or something. They just do it, post it, and the end.
How about the art stealer that accuses the artist that made the art for stealing "their art".
That's- literally the first one in the video.
Lexiflower 33 lol that’s almost the same thing at 1.
I'am still thinking about..
What was it that she painted?
she drew "WILD'S ART".
Hentai.
@@watermelon5123 I was suspecting it was furry porn.
Great video btw I'm new herah imma subscribe too uuuu :3
your channel is amazing!
you have put so much effort into the video and so you deserve the subs and the views!~ ♡♡
I wanna see more animation videos like these~!
I love your channel and your animations !!
+James Dorsey that's what I've done
because you have to start somewhere, and sometimes it's hard to draw from scratch
but don't upload it and take credit for it of course
+Ashlee Wenn tell that to my friend, my god I used to do it and he would get on my ass every time. the worst part is he's a better artist than me, and it made me feel inferior.
I've met the emo mixed with the bad at lying.
God SodaSoda was horrible.
Cheesy Draws 100
There was this one girl named Jackie who was tracing art. A ton of people called her out on it but she just either ignore it or denied it. Then she blocked everyone and changed her icon and name to Jenna. After doing that, she saying, "Hi this is Jenna Jackie's sister she's gone by gone I mean gone forever"
Dark Gwenn wow is your name star then?
Stars are the most dense type of things in the universe, so, if you think she's that dense, then she's a star.
Easy, right?
Diamond_snow_fox 2011 Star VS The Forces of Evil is 👌👌
ThePortuguesePlayer no i meant that she is star from star vs the forces of evil
Onix Seran yup
One good thing about being an Amino Leader : you can spam PM members to credit the artist even when they block you 👍
No one would steal my art cause it sucks. THE GOOD SIDE OF BEING BAD AT ART!
What about the "My mom/dad/uncle/friend is a cop/lawyer and I'll sue you if you keep saying I stole your art!!!!" kinda theif?
I hate those peoples >:0
Those people suck
(I may not be an artist but I can paint pictures with words.) I suggest replying back with, "If you have such relations then do you know the copyright laws?" or to make it difficult for a classy reply, "Then explain how you drew it in detail, how long it took to draw it and how many layers that is(If that is digital art)." They'll have a hard time since it isn't theirs and if you have a speedpaint of it, then you can use it as proof of them stealing the art.Sorry for the lengthy reply.
+Debbie Palicdon this would WIN
Bloody Duckie We don't SPEAK of those people.
"I would appreciate it if you take down this drawing, it's 'snot yours."
I've heard this so many times now it will be in my dreams.
I've only dealt with art theft one time and it was when I was in middle school (sixth grade) and let me tell you. She was one you forgot.
10: The Crybaby.
"I'd appreciate if you didnt claim that art. It's not yours."
"(While sobbing) Your so mean!! Me and my sister spent 3 days on that drawing!! You're lying!! My sister helped me with it!"
The drawing she stole was a drawing of the Time Dragon from the book Wicked.
Of course i respond "yes" and she says "oh, because Anjelika gave it to me and told me it was hers."
I lost my shit. I stomped into the female dog's home-room she wasn't there. I turned around she was in the hall. I screamed at the top of my lungs. "ANJELIKA."
Me and Anjelika used to be like best friends in 3rd grade before she moved schools then moved to the same middle school as I was in.
*My* hard work that you just stole."
Anjelika: "(while sobbing) I didn't steal it! Me and my sister drew it!"
Blah blah blah.
I would’ve smacked the two shits outta of her
FoxTaterTot124 Tatertot wow your whole family kinda helped you? Must be a cool family
That must've sucked. Once this girl slapped me and I almost lost my shit so I was crying and a teacher came up to me and I told her that this *bi*- female dog slapped me so we went to the bus I was on and confronted her and she was kicked off the bus this could've ended horribly
My sisters name is anjelika but my sisters name is spelt angelica.. Wut
hardcore mexican mother.... i died at that part XD
theres only one way to find out if he/she is lying or not. ask him/her to draw that picture again with you infront of her.btw while she/he doing that, take the picture and give him/her a new paper and ask her/him to redraw THE SAME PICTURE that she/he drawn. like if that helps you
Noor MayulahChixk That's helpful but if they are on the Internet and miles away from you. What are you going to do?
Huh I'm confused
Lee Rae Rin well, you can ask for screen shots of the progress.
But I can't even replicate my drawings a second time? It's very hard to do.
Noor MayulahChixk why redraw ? Just tell them to take a selfie with the pic they claimed theirs
that ''yours'' is gold
yos
JACKSFILMS?!
agreed xD
JACKSFILMSS
I love her accent (if she has one?)
Theres a few more types of art stealers.
1. The claimer.
They redraw your art horribly, and then when you ask them kindly to take it down, they complain like a whiney little baby to their followers, and their followers either support them, or just deny them.
2. The "Art Crediter"
This person reposts your art without changing anything EXCEPT taking out the watermark.
2. The "Art Crediter"
This person reposts your art without changing anything EXCEPT taking out the watermark. They take only the watermark, and say "All art belongs to respective owners." or some shit like that.
that doesnt make sense in any way expect when people have personal issues with these artists
why would they take out the watermark so that they can say "art belongs to their respective owner"? maybe the owner forgot the watermark, or the poster got the art from _another person_ who claimed it to be theirs, etc. etc.
but it wouldnt make sense in any way to delete the watermark just because you want to write in the description "art belongs to their espective owner". i mean, come one
Hey, Slow down who is it?I’ll help.
Try asking her to draw art and don't post any picture yet. If she says an excuse like "OHH IM BUSY" or something like that, then try to put the signature like near the head wear it's impossible to crop out
They are a fucking baby. I swear
SkateFox05 great story but "they were obviously an eight year old according to how they were talking, grammer and-"
..oh, the irony
Lillinor 30 You forgot to put a period at the end of your sentence.
SkateFox05 made not maid
TopHat Sam, You forgot to put a comma after my name, Mr. KnowItAll. A reply on UA-cam sure is the place for perfect grammar usage, right?
miss dxckie, yeah that was the only mistake they made there...
Oh my god dude this is DeviantArt.
ikr!?!! X"D
yup thats tru
Ya xD
Holy shit people agree with me? :OOOOOOO
+Alexis Fillmore ya cuz this kinda thing just happened on devaint art xD
Check instagram accounts, theres tons of art theives on there ;-;
Bad or not, you can't take something that isn't yours. Period.
that doesn't make art stealing okay .-.
My "Popular Classmate" start stealing my drawings from my bag without anyone noticing but its alright for me because most of it a just plain black and white and is easy to draw but one time he doesnt have a Project from Art which is to draw and design your own character he stole mine so when i notice that its gone i said it to the teacher and i saw my PROJECT with my erased name and labeled with the name of that Bastard i told the teacher about it and the bastard said "its mine not yours soul" and then i said "um teacher can we go to the guidance office" i saw him freaking out he told the truth the teacher scolded him and suspended him from class plus his mother slapped him in front of my face
My Mind: *He Deserves That*

A person on DA stole my art and not only tried to crop ONE of them and pasting a picture from a dress up game on it and posted it on her DA page, she also blocked me off after I asked her to take down my artwork that she stole AND unfaved my artwork, because she bribes others by faving thier work! Right now, she's posting official artwork that she's taken from other sites like Ebay.
I did, and they took down the stolen pics. However, being the brat that she is, she blocked me from making comments, because I asked her to take down my pictures that she stole.
CooperGal24 ,I wish you good luck working on it (and welcome to life of the artist)
HELLO IT'S ME (INSERT ADELE)
I HATE those artists who have a lot of followers and then accuse someone of "stealing their style" just because it was the same pose. Then, that person has to take it down just because so many people are on their side.
Kaiyue Yang gah I don't like that either, you can't really steal a pose.
Kaiyue Yang I just say to those ppl "if you really wanna know who's side you are on, compare the dates on which they were published. ;)"
Kaiyue Yang Thats the EGO artist btw
I would really appreciate if u took that drawing its not yours I would really appreciate if u took that drawing its not yours says it 10 times sorry but it was getting to me
Starlinq Boi Hey
I would really appreciate it if you take down this drawing, its not yours
Hahaha u made my day
When I first started draw it was because of my best friend and I was inspired by her art, but I started trying to copy her art style and at time I saw she was upset about but she never said anything and being in 5th grade I didn't see anything wrong with it, but then I started to realize why it was bad, if I kept copying her art style people who saw my art before hers might say she was being art thief or vise versa, and that her artstyle might now be recognized as her own.
Nice to know you understood and stopped that was a great thing
I hope you have a good day
Artstyle theft isn’t a thing.
10. the guy that actually apologizes
But then they only take down the one piece, or only the pieces you made, and keep stealing other people's art.
Not forgiven. Remove the art and make your own.
You know, you forgot one , those rare few who actually do what they are asked to do
its so rare tho
the emo one tho, so true
for real XD
Ikr XD
Don't worry when I cant come up with ideas I sometimes take some of a design and change it quite a bit so it doesn't exactly resemble it and I hand draw stuff and I have no printer
In my experience, It's the most common
when I was in sixth grade, I did requests for people, and this one girl who I was friends with at the time asked if I would draw her.
Lol, you sound like the Rubies from Steven Universe! So cute!! Especially with the back ups!
Ikr.
I thought it was more like Candy from Gravity Falls.
I just realized Niki Yang voices both BMO from Adventure Time as well as Candy from Gravity Falls! Not the Rubies though, that's Charlyne Yi.
Then there's that very, very, very rare Art Stealer who actually takes down the art. I've only seen it once. once.
Step 1: Never post art *ever*
Step 2: Nobody can say you steal art
Step 3:???
Step 4: Profit
I'm talking like extremely obvious
Like one second they are okay and then the next they're a pro
Randomegirl2003
oh that kind. I once saw a guy try to get away with that. He didnt even get rid of any of the watermarks
A Duck lol
When they leave the watermark it's worse
If I ever stole art (which I don't), I would be the experimenting one.
Compass-Coyote same. I realize that's a jerk move, but it's pretty interesting to watch.
Then there's the people who claim it's not stealing because they "couldn't find the source" "didn't say that THEY drew it" "Found it on google" etc
Four words
Google search by image
three words:
yeah it does
four more:
u just too lazy
Actually, it doesn't always work. Sometimes I will reverse image search for hours and get no luck. But hey, If I can't find the artist? Then I *_don't post the art_*_._
TRUE
*EITHER FIND THE DAMN ARTIST OR DONT POST IT EY*
1 and 6 are the exact art stealers I find everywhere.
And those 6 people liked your comment.
+Chewy Wolf wouldn't that be 7 then?
Your grammatical errors make it hard to believe you're about to start high school.

*How to properly steal art*
1. Go to an art website
2.Steal art
3. Disable reviews and voting'
4.Remove comments saying you stole it
5. Block commenters that said it
LMAO
Loophole. Everyone's gonna think that if you have reviews, voting and commenting turned off, you stole the art. -w-
i remember I saw some art thief in Instagram and everyone was telling them off
then she posted something like "wow thank you all for being rude. I know I steal but that doesn't mean you should tell me to die(or something like that)all I wanted was to be a good artist" and everyone felt bad
well, what you reap is what you sow :D
...or something like that
I would have been incredulous and say 'If you wanted to be a good artist then why didn't you draw and ask for advice from the artist you stole from?'
Debbie Palicdon j
krystal the flying wolf That's what's known as the pitying thief.
What I do sometimes is I'll look up something I want to draw than take two or more pictures and take diffrent stuff from them and make a new drawing from it
Thats called using drawings as reference, in which is something good. every artist starts from using pictures or drawings as reference.
HikariMagic Yeah it really is helpful it gives you references and pointers about what looks good and if u want to make changes
When you see someone stealing art then your just like
*OOOH HE STEALING*
Avery's World _HE_ *_STEALIN'_*
ummm... Is using a reference stealing???
Sam K. Scarlett no it's not a lot of people use references
Epic Deluxe yay ^^
Just try to avoid referencing peoples art line by line
BrokenBlueBottle53 okies
As long as you're not tracing it, then no, it's not stealing.
