Absolutely my biggest take away from this. 10 years at a minimum looking forward is fantastic to hear and it clearly shows that they care about this game.

Even more than Endwalker and the end of the Hydalan... Hyedalyn? The end of the big light crystal and Zodiark story line, I'm excited for how new expansions are gonna handle story. Are they going to be entirely self-contained stories, are there going to be new over-arcing stories that last over multiple expansions? What else can there be that's on the scale of the first two primals and the (apparently) first humans of the world? Because it always felt with the previous expansions that it wasn't just random stuff happening, it felt like it was a continuation from previous expansions or ARR. But now if we're gonna be settling everything with the empire, and the last Ascians, and the big multi-dimensional primals, what else is left to go off of for the future?

You can tell Yoshi-P really cares about what Larry has to say. THE MOMENT Larry mentioned he's been a long time SMN main he HAD to ask his opinion on the rework.
I really admire how the dev team achieves that almost perfect balance of developer vision and player feedback. They make changes because they think they'll improve the game but they're always open to feedback. That's awesome.
Its because throughout all this, they've remained humble with a beginners mindset.
In life, there is always something to learn even when you are an expert.
Can you imagine how fucking TIRED yoshi must be after answering questions from so many people? The guy has passion.
Very tired, but I like to think he enjoys talking to these passionate people, keeps him motivated, you know?

I get so excited for QoL updates, and hearing about them working on achievements and friends list and other things was very pleasing to my ears, just like hearing he'd also invite Y'shtola to dinner. I'm sure most of us would, if given the chance.

Soken asking Alex and Husky what they thought if the Endwalker theme was one of the most adorable things.
These guys and gals are at the peak of their craft and they're still all "so... is it ok?" like cooking dinner for their girlfriend/boyfriend the first time.
I remember him saying once that player feedback is the most important part of making games, not all feedback is useful, but without it you can't make a successful continuos game. If you do whatever you want and the players don't like it, they will leave.
Coming from WoW, it's insane to see a dev actually engaging with their community in this way. Yoshi-P just is so lovable, what the heck

@@peekjz145 The subreddit tends to do a yearly birthday surprise for both Yoshi-P and Soken iirc. Usually sends them gifts and a card on behalf of the community.
Right?!? I’m from WoW too and a BRAND new FF14 player it’s so crazy to see the effort and his passion for the game and you can see how much the players and their feedback mean to him. It is insane for sure!

@@ewcik12 Yeah, English and Japanese are so different, even when taking notes making a translation is hard (I already had a hard time translating my French though into english words because some things are had to change but at least the two are waaay closer)

When this game first came out I was too young to really cover up the subscription costs, 10 years now I'm finally able to really get into the game and it's so relieving to cover up a small childhood dream on playing the game. It's so nice to know the Yoshi and his team are people with still big plans and have always been humble to community.

@@falcontomto lots of people were already treating him like that _before_ all the recent ActiBlizz/WoW stuff came to light. Perhaps it wasn’t as loudly or as prominently as it is now, but he has certainly been placed on a pedestal by the playerbase (alongside Soken, Koji, and Ishikawa) for a while now.
As it turns out, simply being a nice and friendly person who is open and honest makes people really, really like you.

Imagine a seasonal event on valentines day where you choose to have a dinner date with an npc of your choice while crafting ingredients to get the perfect ending.
It really impresses me that he can answer things like game engine and class design question to what at least seems like a competent level, two completely different fields.
I mean he is a programmer and he seems to oversee everything lol, my man Yoshi needs some rest seriously.
Any competent director OR producer needs to have a base understanding of all aspects of game design, and Yoshida is both so I'm not really surprised at all.
It's good to know that Yoshi P is a Y'shtola enjoyer like the rest of us!

Yea I'm super excited about actually summoning the Primals, that's the first thing I wanted when I leveled it having played other FFs where Summoning the actual gods was pretty common. Not just like little Egis of them. (Most memorable was when Rydia summoned Titan for the first time)
Well... they're not *technically* primals even now.
But they sure as fuck aren't Egis anymore, thank god.
It'd be pretty ironic if you summoned actual primals considering the lore of the game.

I love how Yoshi-P might use a translator for himself, but you can tell he understands English just fine. I wish I could understand Japanese like that
Yoshi-P has talked about it before in the past. The translators are there because he himself does not feel completely comfortable with answering questions in English or being misunderstood / having his answer taken out of context. It's also for his benefit since some English speakers speak very quickly and it's hard for him to hear and understand the question being asked. But if people speak slower/more clearly then yes... Yoshi-P has a pretty good understanding of English and what is being asked.

Media tour is always such a big day, and there's an overwhelming amount of content to watch and digest, and I feel like you managed to make it incredibly approachable to veterans and the newbies with your editing. It's so cool seeing Yoshi-P and staff give their time to people on the media tour, even if it is only a little. Glad to hear the team continues to work on it in the background, but still worried about the limit that will inevitably be reached. The glaring thing missing from Yoshi-p answer was anything combat and server related.

Props to YoshiP for doing over 31 of these Interviews. That is a hell of a lot of time on the media tour just talking to fans of the game and them asking whatever they want in promoting Endwalker. If you assume they spent 1 hour at least for every interview that's over 31 hours out of his very busy schedule. That's a lot of time.

@@TheMastermind729 Not, they're not? New models look good, way better than old 2-polygonal horror. I get nostalgia, but that's just not true
@@TheMastermind729 It's not just about the graphic (couldn't care less about it for me), but they also wanted to revamp the limitations from current engine. Limitations like glamor capacities, too many loading screens in area (especially in arr places), and etc
So, it's kinda nice to hear that they are gonna look into the future
@@Kamasillvia It is true, new models look dumb, but even if they didn't I could just wear a helmet, unfortunately the animations are all worse so I'm screwed anyway, and don't try to argue that the animations are better, character models I can respect that opinion, but not this.

From the initial trailer, I was already onboard with endwalker. The breakdowns are much appreciated, and I see each job has gotten positive attention.
Glad he is looking to the future as I'll be looking forward to each new addition.
I will say, fingers crossed for a new limited job akin to FF 3/6 gau. Would be a nice counterpart to blue mage in my opinion. Maybe choice of berserk state where it will perform actions of monsters, switching between states to suite the situation.
Either case, my eyes are set on reaper and summoner changes. Glad to see the egi are still present and the influencing of the summoner is a great direction, like them blessing you with some of their power.
To address your proposition on limited jobs, and the whole berserk with summoning beasts and whatnot, maybe we can get the Beast master job
