I love how it even shows the menu from in game to have Link swap to the water boots, which definitely gives off to how tedious the Water Temple can truly be.
Yeah, I'm glad Nintendo learned from that and didn't make swapping armor super tedious in their last few titles, would have sucked if you had to scroll through a massive list of outfits every time you wanted to swim or go someplace hot.
9:13 I love how everyone has had the EXACT same experience in this level at this part. "What do you mean I'm missing a key?!?!" The only thing missing is just leaving the dungeon entirely to do a side quest or ride Epona to burn off some steam
For me it was the song of time block in the item room. Ye I was playing a save that some one else did cause i got my copy from a used game store so i didn't understand the song of time mechanics. Plus I didn't even notice it.
Everyone always say it's the floating block that gets them but for me it's always that god damn push block every God damn time. I do the loop shown here every single time
This really is the quintessential Water Temple experience. The constant pausing to change boots, missing the LAST KEY EVERY SINGLE TIME EVEN THOUGH YOU’VE DONE IT BEFORE, getting jumped endlessly by the Tektites and Clams, always forgetting about the passageway down from the central tower, it’s all here. It was absolutely worth the wait for this one. Terminal cooks again, the man just never misses.
the 3DS version fixes wo of these problems. You still have to keep attention to the bomb wall where you meet with Ruto, but boots became normal items and the secret passage is pointed out directly.
Once again, I will say this: the original OoT played exactly like this, including the remove one boot cheat to beat the clams. That saved me so much time. 😉
I'm glad I'm not the only one who suffered. For me it was the pathway you're supposed to go to behind the long shot treasure chest that leads you to a key. I could never find it as a kid and I almost never beat the game.
Link is SO expressive in this one! My favorite minor detail is the little ear flick when it zooms in on his face when he’s looking for the key. Love it!
I love everything about this series, the music the sound effects the animation, the silliness, the UA-camr, and especially how accurate (enough) this video is to the game
that is the sole reason everyone hates the water temple. I'm surprised that it wasn't the last key in the video. I can't remember that one key being so hard to find.
@@Dracker2006 The original does that too. When the water level is going up, the camera deliberately switch to an angle where you can see the floating platform float up and observe the gap under it. That's why we should all feel foolish for not paying attention. That, and the map that shows a room UNDER you that is not visited yet.

that`s exactly how going through the water temple felt like all those years ago God, I spent almost an entire day on that one temple trying to find all those hidden passages
@zevach2573was stuck in the water temple for 3 months. An entire summer. I had replayed the game many times from the start right up to the water temple when I randomly just broke through….
I never beat it as a kid, but at 13, I gave it a shot and what I actually missed was the entrance after the platform rose. Once I got that key and tried six times against shadow link, I ended up beating it.
6:30 , you can tell Link and Ganon are truly joined by the Triforce because of the pure deranged Spanish psyche they both share in every single Zelda game edit: for those telling me it's not spanish, it literally says "angry in spanish" in the closed captions, lol

Love how the Giant's Knife/Biggoron Sword (and damn near everything else in the pause menu at least once) keeps changing every other pause, that's such a good little sight gag
I love how when Link tried to cheese Dark Link just like he cheesed the Stalfos in the Forest Temple animation, Dark Link was having absolutely none of it
The fact that link scoured the entire temple dozens of times for the boss door key is by far the most relatable thing in this video! 😂 I remember 8 yr old me spending hours to just chance upon it one day 😅
I feel represented in this animation for the simple fact that the damn key that leads to the game's progression is well hidden in the water temple, I spent hours looking for that key to get the boss key. The pains I went through will never be forgotten.
the bit with the little kids telling him where to go was just so adorable, and that it was just played straight, just a cute little wholesome moment. i loved that a lot.
...I can't help it, every time I watch that bit I can just imagine Link calling "Thank you!" before hopping down to the water. XD The plain and simple happiness...
You hit every point perfectly. The pause equipping, missing the hidden room in the central pillar, the constant tektikes. I even recognized immediately where Link had forgotten to get a key the moment the wandering montage happened. The attention paid to all the small details of this place is amazing.
I reached the epitome of that in the TP water temple. Since the boss door is so far away, I didn't realize it was a boss key door, I thought I needed another Small Key. I searched the entire dungeon trying to find something that didn't even exist.
Absolutely nailed every aspect of this. Missing the bottom room in the central tower, all the pausing to switch boots, not grabbing the golden skulltula in the room before dark link bc you dont have the longshot yet, links shadow disappearing after walking across the little island. Everything about this is perfect. Well done! Edit: OH MY GOD missing one small key at the last door too 😭
You actually encapsulated every thing annoying fking thing about this dungeon. The boot swapping, the floating center pillar hole area that *everyone* misses, the scouring for the boss key; the lot. You can tell you really did have this experience when you were younger with the rest of us. Absolutely incredible video!!!
when i was 12ish i remember i constantly thought i was somehow softlocking myself in the dungeon and restarted the game several times only to just waltz around and find that mf hole in the center area
Love how not only did you animate the pause menu for EVERY SINGLE TIME you had to change boots, but the fact that those little segments are loaded with references. I saw the Estus Flask and the Monster Hunter Potion too!
6:30 Link's most underrated weapon: the mighty chancla. Also, no one else provides as much extra enjoyment for their videos through captioning as you do.
That final realization he doesn’t have the key at the end of the dungeon hits deep. The painful backtracking is the one thing I remember about this temple, besides the Shadow Link fight.
I mean, she is, it's just that old animations portray link as not as someone who would care about his only friend in his life, but as the player having to deal with navi's stupid voice and repetitive dialogue
That's a thing I always love about his animations. Terminal doesn't always just go for the low-hanging fruits that pretty much every animator uses (link hates navi, mario and luigi hate each other, sonic hates tails) but he portraits them mostly how the games intended and turns that up to 11.
@@LunaHeroflare Yeah, like he only makes Simon insane because he already seems a little insane to begin with & he only make Kirby terrifying because he already kinda is but he doesn't make either of them plain evil.
@@LunaHeroflare Doesn't go for low-hanging fruits - did you seriously not look at the video? Everything in it is low-hanging fruit. That's what makes it funny.
That Dark Link fight was so epic. That miniboss was more interesting and fun than the actual boss of the dungeon. Just you, your shadow, and evenly matched skills.
What's funny to me is I actually have no idea how the fight goes. When I fought it as a kid I thought it was literally impossible to fight him conventionally, and that you had to use magic, which is what I did Edit: notably magic kills him in like two hits
Animation was fantastic, too. But the actual fight? Naaah... he only mirrored sword and shield. I would just thrust-stab with the Biggoron sword. He doesn't jump on that one like he does the Master.
The constant pausing to switch boots, Link constantly missing the hidden door at 5:22 . . . it's comforting to know we all have the same bad memories about this temple
It took me and my brother over 2 years to find that blasted key inside the center pillar after raising the water and that water platform. We reset the game multiple times thinking we missed something. That whole scene of Link looking everywhere for the missing key was basically me and my brother for over 2 years. It's both hilarious and painful to watch... lol
Dude I got to that part when I was 12 in 2002 gave up cause it was driving me crazy!!! Then got back to it when I was 18 got stuck on the same part then went to UA-cam I was so content on beating the game with no help but when I finally saw that I felt so stupid the rest of the game was a breeze after. That was the only thing I looked for help on
@@johnlimones210 Exactly. Didn't need to see any kind of guide after this ONE key. Spirit temple and Shadow temple and the final Ganondorf castle were just fine. lol
I never realized people had issue with this specific part too XD I'm so damn happy. When I was a little kid, I was playing Zelda and because of this part's confusion of the angel of the camera and not showing it clearly, I couldn't defeat the game and progress for so many years until I became an adult lol.
Love the attention to detail with the Dark Link fight. As a minute passes he slowly goes from being transparent to opaque. He stops defending & starts becoming aggressive to a high degree & could easily cause players to run out of fairies if they didn't learn he couldn't block the Biggoron sword, Giant's Knife, or was powerless against Din's Fire. You could also use the hookshot to force a dodge roll, then slash him before he recovered if you were fast & close enough if you had the skill. But I like that this tackled the fight from a new player's perspective of Dark Link turning into a literal nightmare if you didn't know how to deal with him. *Bravo!*
I really need to do the Dark Link fight correctly. He's so easy to cheese if you use the Megaton Hammer or the Biggoron Sword, i never got to see what was so awesome about him
@Whofan06 the point of the fight was to cheese him. Dark link was supposed to always beat link in sword combat, its the fact that link has powered up in the form of hus items that makes hims now special
9:21 my brother thought the game was broken cuz he couldn’t find the last key and gave up the whole game, thankfully I finally turned it back on and continued finishing what he started, funny how we all experienced this running around pain
What I love about these are how close they get to describing something frustrating, yet endearing, about the game. "You have to navigate and invisible fire maze where you almost walk through it before knowing if it's safe." Or "you had to pause the screen like a million times for the iron boots on water temple." The fights, the puzzles, common places for mistakes depicted perfectly.
As a kid, I would go over to a friend after school and we would play Zelda OoT. We were also missing the last key. My friend even bought the official strategie guide and we knew where the last key was, but we didn't know how to get there. After multiple weeks daily scouting, we came back one day and his older brother progressed. He didn't even remember what he did, but we never made a new save because of the terrors of the water temple. Many years after I played it myself on my own console and found out, that there was a passage behind the hookshot.. We never bothered to revisit the room, expecting it to be a dead end treasure room.
I like how Shadow Link just said “Well Excuseeeeeeeee me” but really slowed down And also the captions putting down the description and symptoms of high stress when Link was backtracking was hilarious. Well played with that
Oh my god, Everything. From pausing to put the boots on and off, the army of annoying enemies, to getting stuck on a EXTREMELY simple puzzle, to FORGETTING ABOUT THE LAST KEY THAT YOU CAN'T FIND! To even making Dark Link harder than he needed to be but it was cool because he could stand on your sword.
It was so wholesome that Link and Navi both end up reviving each other and at the end of the day, Navi spinning around Link when he caught the fish. So cute ❤
Plus I played it today on my Nintendo Switch OLED, it literally took me the whole entire day, just not only the rooms and keys was difficult but the boss too
i love that you included the frustration of OG having to take the boot on and off constantly in the menu. also, the absurd frustration of dark link STANDING ON YOUR SWORD OMG
I can't believe no one's mentioned it but when the water animation pauses when you go into the menu, that was absolutely AMAZING attention to detail. As soon as i saw that i remembered it exactly how i did 25 years ago. So many things in this are amazing but that really got me!
I absolutely loved the changing details at every pause moment (like seeing cloud' sword, geno's clothes, the assasin's cape, THE HALO ENERGY SWORD, A KEYBLADE, A STAFF) and it was hilarious watching it change every single time
I just noticed at 7:14 link has one red eye as a skeleton, which is a nod to the hero's spirit thats theorized to be dead OOT link in Twilight princess. Clever.
The frustration of this temple going through it for the 1st time as a kid is perfectly demonstrated within this amazing vid. The repeated exploration of the same rooms only to find the next area an hour later is shown flawlessly here and though I go through this temple just fine now, back then was different. The nostalgic nightmare it once was.
I understand the missing key thing. I got stuck at the water temple every time we rented it from movie gallery. Turned out there was a block of time behind the chest that you get the longshot from that I never saw. Finally saw navi fly over to it and got to move on. That was my last time getting stuck hard on that game but I had been stuck other times.
Everything here was so relatable. The boot swapping, the annoying enemies, the confusing puzzles requiring water level manipulation, link (us) getting fed up with it as some point and learning to streamline actions, practically every single room animated in the temple was instantly recognizable and brought me back to playing it on my N64 as a kid. Congrats on the animation. As another commenter said: this really is the essence of the water temple.
This video makes me realize I might be one of the few that played this game around release that to this day still has a detailed gameplan for this specific Temple. It’s actually not too bad, just remember which rooms on which levels to hit now or later and make sure to remember that key below the center. If you feel insecure, double check the map and compass to be sure. The part of this video that has me appreciating the attention to detail, though, is when the enemy theme starts playing despite an enemy not being in sight. More than two decades of playing this game and that’s the detail I remembered most from this temple. Sadge.

For me it was the song of time block in the item room. Ye I was playing a save that some one else did cause i got my copy from a used game store so i didn't understand the song of time mechanics. Plus I didn't even notice it.
Too real.
Everyone always say it's the floating block that gets them but for me it's always that god damn push block every God damn time. I do the loop shown here every single time
@@simonn2045 Nah that damn push block had me stuck for an hour straight
Please dont ever stop making these. This is my favorite thing left on the internet.
Absolutely love how Navi stopped throwing Link’s items at him and started healing him after he helped her. 8:50 NOW THATS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
You did it. You actually did it. You PERFECTLY illustrated every frustration of the Water Temple
Never played it but I felt it!
Now it’s only a matter of time until the Shadow Temple.
It shall go on the board with Arin Hanson screaming "F*%KING CLAMS!!!"
I can technically play the game now that's it's on the Switch but these frustrations keep me away. It's too old now lol.
10:40 I *felt* this. It resonated a part within my very soul.
I got horribly lost in the Water Temple and I used a fucking gamefaq
Yeah, 9:20 - 10:20 really brought back that rage and despair I thought I had dealt with after years of therapy😆
Why is this a reference to an Asterix and Obelix movie
@@dorianwiesner4477Glad I have the 3DS port
Also it helps to get the compass to know where all the chests are
Once again, I will say this: the original OoT played exactly like this, including the remove one boot cheat to beat the clams. That saved me so much time. 😉
"Many unbearable hours later."
That one stupid key is the reason this dungeon took me a month to complete as a kid. Even with a strategy guide.
As a kid? I thought you were still working on it. :)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who suffered. For me it was the pathway you're supposed to go to behind the long shot treasure chest that leads you to a key. I could never find it as a kid and I almost never beat the game.
Pretty sure it was just the floating block at 5:21 for me.
5:46 the “Behind you!” Joke was too cute. And Link’s reaction was just adorable.
The blue clues lol
Children shows be like
Omg. I just noticed it as soon as I clicked on it too. Blues Clues. What a throwback!
"Cause it's Who's Clues, it's Blues clues!"
Pure unadulterated genius 👍
Link is SO expressive in this one! My favorite minor detail is the little ear flick when it zooms in on his face when he’s looking for the key. Love it!
At least somewhere he has personality
I love everything about this series, the music the sound effects the animation, the silliness, the UA-camr, and especially how accurate (enough) this video is to the game
THE PAUSE MENU SPINNING WAS ACTUALLY SO CLEVER I LOVE IT

That part was too accurate haha
The “FINALLY!” when getting the boss key resinates with my soul.
That's true, yi
You just feel like crying because of the trauma.

That FREAKIN' hole in the floor drove me to insanity as a child. Thank you for highlighting the sheer madness of this dungeon so perfectly.
that is the sole reason everyone hates the water temple.
I'm surprised that it wasn't the last key in the video.
I can't remember that one key being so hard to find.
I was so mad when i played the 3DS remake and the camera focus that hole when you raise the water level XD
@@Dracker2006 The original does that too. When the water level is going up, the camera deliberately switch to an angle where you can see the floating platform float up and observe the gap under it. That's why we should all feel foolish for not paying attention. That, and the map that shows a room UNDER you that is not visited yet.
I got so insanely frustrated I dropped the game for 2 years, came back on a whim and solved it in an.hour and felt like the dumbest kid born.
The blues clues scene hit like a truck
7:00 I love the how you’re authentic to the game in this series. Such a nice touch having the gold skultula there
Princess Ruto speaking but just bubbles coming out was genius.
The constant cycling of the iron boots brought back some childhood ptsd.
Nice to see Link concerned over Navi.
Link actually spoke!! 10:40
He was so done with the temple he developed advanced speech
You mean Link *_FINALLY_* spoke.
Did you notice that Link's clothes were different every time that he switched boots?
Sounds like he wants to buy all my chocolate

I think the maid outfit at 4:21 is Alice's main dress from Alice Madness Returns!
6:38 is the Tidus's Sword from FFX
6:12 I think it's the sly cooper staff, 6:21 i'm not sure if the glowing bottle is from dark souls, and the green bottle i think it's from Monster Hunter
@@GlitterPatches Yes, the glowing bottle is an Estus Flask from Dark Souls ! The name of the axe from God of War is "Leviathan Axe", Cloud's sword is called the "Buster Sword" , Tidus sword is called "Brotherhood" and the staff from 6:12 is definitely Sly Cooper's cane indeed.
@@coloquintedetoux6899 Oh 😯, thanks for confirming that 😄👍
I love how he included the part where you go through the menu a thousand times throughout the entirety of the temple just to switch boots. Also how the inventory changes each time.
And somehow it wasn't annoying either! Seeing all the various dives, bellyflops and gags as link dropped and rose to the surface was great.
These blue spiders (???) are so accurate💀

I legit stopped the video when I saw that. Crazy good!
The most important part about power is knowing how to use it. He definitely does.
Just generally insane art, how in the heck can someone be that good?
that`s exactly how going through the water temple felt like all those years ago
God, I spent almost an entire day on that one temple trying to find all those hidden passages

Try the Uber Quest sometime, the water temple becomes an even greater hassle
@zevach2573was stuck in the water temple for 3 months. An entire summer. I had replayed the game many times from the start right up to the water temple when I randomly just broke through….
I never beat it as a kid, but at 13, I gave it a shot and what I actually missed was the entrance after the platform rose. Once I got that key and tried six times against shadow link, I ended up beating it.
@@grizzakaful for me I kept missing the time block in the longshot room
6:30 , you can tell Link and Ganon are truly joined by the Triforce because of the pure deranged Spanish psyche they both share in every single Zelda game

not spanish, LATINO. SUAVEMENTEEEEEEEE, BÉSAME ME!
What was link saying on this one though?

Love how the Giant's Knife/Biggoron Sword (and damn near everything else in the pause menu at least once) keeps changing every other pause, that's such a good little sight gag
I like the fact that the subtitles are counting how many pauses link has done.(it goes up to 4787 before giving up the count)
Oh I forgot the subtitles! Ah shucks, guess I'll just have to watch the whole video again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love how when Link tried to cheese Dark Link just like he cheesed the Stalfos in the Forest Temple animation, Dark Link was having absolutely none of it
The fact that link scoured the entire temple dozens of times for the boss door key is by far the most relatable thing in this video! 😂 I remember 8 yr old me spending hours to just chance upon it one day 😅
Not just the boss key, specifically the last small key needed to reach the boss key
This is what ootfanatics consider peak game design.
@@tatltails3923 idk about you but I struggled with both lol

I like how when Link turned into a skeleton he looked like The Hero's Shade from Twilight Princess which is the hero of time.
Is it though?.
I mean, he is
True
I feel represented in this animation for the simple fact that the damn key that leads to the game's progression is well hidden in the water temple, I spent hours looking for that key to get the boss key. The pains I went through will never be forgotten.
Same here. I spent a fucking eternity trying to find that cursed key. God I hate the water temple.
Wait til/if you have kids and 'they' want to beat OoT. 😂😵💫
I played the 3DS version, and I felt the same pain looking for that darn key. It took me hours to look for it
I'm glad I'm not alone.
the bit with the little kids telling him where to go was just so adorable, and that it was just played straight, just a cute little wholesome moment. i loved that a lot.
Never thought a wholesome blues clues reference would be in any of these its great
same loved it so much too just so cute
...I can't help it, every time I watch that bit I can just imagine Link calling "Thank you!" before hopping down to the water. XD The plain and simple happiness...
7:33 Wow, and that amount of drawing details so unexpected? :0 that's amazing 👏👏
You hit every point perfectly. The pause equipping, missing the hidden room in the central pillar, the constant tektikes. I even recognized immediately where Link had forgotten to get a key the moment the wandering montage happened. The attention paid to all the small details of this place is amazing.
I thought for sure it was the key on the 2nd floor of the room where you meet Ruto
That's the one I missed, anyway
Exactly
That key drove me crazy 😂
The ear flick of annoyance at 10:02 was so good. Any game where you're missing the last dungeon key and you swear you checked every room is maddening.
I reached the epitome of that in the TP water temple. Since the boss door is so far away, I didn't realize it was a boss key door, I thought I needed another Small Key. I searched the entire dungeon trying to find something that didn't even exist.
Toads.

This is so accurate that I’m convinced you could use this animation as a walkthrough for the water temple
Thank the Lord they fixed the boot switching in the 3DS version
I recently replayed this game and was tempted to look up cheat codes just to get past the stupid temple
when i was 12ish i remember i constantly thought i was somehow softlocking myself in the dungeon and restarted the game several times only to just waltz around and find that mf hole in the center area
Love how not only did you animate the pause menu for EVERY SINGLE TIME you had to change boots, but the fact that those little segments are loaded with references. I saw the Estus Flask and the Monster Hunter Potion too!
Fi was there too, and Sly Cooper's cane. And his Goron Tunic had the face hole ripped in it from the Fire Temple too. This was great
He also had an among us reference too haha
Don't forget Ezio's Hood too! it was awesome.
I saw an Amogus during the panic sequence
There was a maid outfit in there too.
6:30 Link's most underrated weapon: the mighty chancla. Also, no one else provides as much extra enjoyment for their videos through captioning as you do.
all hail the the undefeated power of the chancla!!!!
Ahem, Iron chancla :V
If it was truly La Chancla Ganon would have died on the spot
Literally half of the comedy is conveyed through the captions lmao
Nobody can beat the mighty chancla
I LOVE THIS PART 5:46 JUST LIKE THE KIDS HELPING LINK LIKE IT'S DORA THE EXPLORA
I thought of Blues Clues.
That final realization he doesn’t have the key at the end of the dungeon hits deep. The painful backtracking is the one thing I remember about this temple, besides the Shadow Link fight.
8:44 THE WAY LINK WORRIES FOR NAVI IS SO ACCURATE
I remember how in old animations they always portray her as annoying thanks for not doing the same 😔
I mean, she is, it's just that old animations portray link as not as someone who would care about his only friend in his life, but as the player having to deal with navi's stupid voice and repetitive dialogue
When I fought it as a kid I thought it was literally impossible to fight him conventionally, and that you had to use magic, which is what I did
Edit: notably magic kills him in like two hits
Animation was fantastic, too. But the actual fight? Naaah... he only mirrored sword and shield. I would just thrust-stab with the Biggoron sword. He doesn't jump on that one like he does the Master.
I would’ve like Dark Link to be the actual boss of the water temple
these are absolutely INCREDIBLE
i love watching them with my daughter
please dont ever stop making them
I'm happy you captured the pain of having to reequip/unequip the iron boots everytime you wanted to enter/exit the water so perfectly.
Remaster players can't relate.
The constant pausing to switch boots, Link constantly missing the hidden door at 5:22 . . . it's comforting to know we all have the same bad memories about this temple
A clue!
It took me and my brother over 2 years to find that blasted key inside the center pillar after raising the water and that water platform. We reset the game multiple times thinking we missed something. That whole scene of Link looking everywhere for the missing key was basically me and my brother for over 2 years. It's both hilarious and painful to watch... lol
That is some wild dedication 🤣
Dude I got to that part when I was 12 in 2002 gave up cause it was driving me crazy!!! Then got back to it when I was 18 got stuck on the same part then went to UA-cam I was so content on beating the game with no help but when I finally saw that I felt so stupid the rest of the game was a breeze after. That was the only thing I looked for help on
Similar thing happened to me too. Glad to know it seems to be a universal experience

I never realized people had issue with this specific part too XD I'm so damn happy. When I was a little kid, I was playing Zelda and because of this part's confusion of the angel of the camera and not showing it clearly, I couldn't defeat the game and progress for so many years until I became an adult lol.
Those kids voices were from Blues Clues! Nostalgia is fun.
@@tylerlewis2320Even to the cymbal fade in when he actually found it
You MUST activate the subtitles. They're hilarious.
He's so easy to cheese if you use the Megaton Hammer or the Biggoron Sword, i never got to see what was so awesome about him
Headshots with the bow.
also the part where link gets cucked by himself i hated that part in the game
@Whofan06 the point of the fight was to cheese him. Dark link was supposed to always beat link in sword combat, its the fact that link has powered up in the form of hus items that makes hims now special
9:21 my brother thought the game was broken cuz he couldn’t find the last key and gave up the whole game, thankfully I finally turned it back on and continued finishing what he started, funny how we all experienced this running around pain
He missed the key in Ruto's room lol
What I love about these are how close they get to describing something frustrating, yet endearing, about the game. "You have to navigate and invisible fire maze where you almost walk through it before knowing if it's safe." Or "you had to pause the screen like a million times for the iron boots on water temple." The fights, the puzzles, common places for mistakes depicted perfectly.
And the ‘WHERE IS THE GAWDS FORSAKEN KEY’ moments of the Water temple
As a kid, I would go over to a friend after school and we would play Zelda OoT. We were also missing the last key. My friend even bought the official strategie guide and we knew where the last key was, but we didn't know how to get there. After multiple weeks daily scouting, we came back one day and his older brother progressed. He didn't even remember what he did, but we never made a new save because of the terrors of the water temple. Many years after I played it myself on my own console and found out, that there was a passage behind the hookshot.. We never bothered to revisit the room, expecting it to be a dead end treasure room.
I can't wait to see the 30 minutes of the water temple going up and down because of everyone being confused of that puzzle

Omg, that missing last silver key brought back my undying rage of the water temple.

*Pauses menu to swap boots*
Ok that makes sense.
I think we know why this video specifically took as long as it did.
It was animated in realtime alongside playing it, _it just took that long._
Sadge.
