As others have stated previously, disregard the haters. Your hikes are YOUR hikes, no one else's. Whatever makes you happy is all that counts. On the positive side, your videos and pictures are just wonderful; taking all the rest of stuck behind a computer screen on your adventures makes us all happy. It's fantastic that you are able to spend all this time exploring the wonders on your ventures out into the countryside. Your video skills and quality of showing the places you visit are remarkable. Thanks again for the ride! (BTW, Adam...you need to start carrying that backpack more! LOL)
Adam & Abby, no need to apologize about your hiking. You are out there and sharing your visits to wonderful places. That is a lot more than other people are doing. Besides, walking is great exercise and being outdoors is a blessing. Thanks for sharing and continue to enjoy yourselves!
I love watching you hike and thank you for sharing. Your level of fitness matches my own and I appreciate the information on what trails I can handle within the parks. Keep on trekking!
I'm an RVer, hiker, and long distance backpacker.. Also i'm 65.. One thing i've learned is to hike your own hike, and ignore the haters. Enjoying your channel, and we love the southwest, and live in Colorado. Thanks for putting a very positive light on the area. Enjoy!
My dear friends, I used to "hike" For a week camping searching for water, etc. Now the three yards between my bed and my wheelchair is the hardest "Hike" I've ever know, So don't take offence Adam, & Abbey, Enjoy your great vacation and continue sharing those great views with us
Just as long as you guys enjoy it and are happy, is all that matters. Ignore the negative comments, the internet is full of them. Just wanted to leave a positive comment. Thanks for showing the beautiful scenery, wish I could visit some time in my life. Greetings from Finland.
How special is that being in that place at sunrise! And you're kind enough to share it with us viewers, I I can actually picture the smell of the dirt and the scent of the pines as you brush past them. That's an experience of the best kind. Really happy to see you and Abby enjoying yourselves, and enjoying the show here at my desk. Kind regards, Duncan, SA
While you guys were in Colorado, I didn't do full screen viewing. Since you got to Utah, I usually take a few minutes and watch the park tours on my big screen. Excellent video quality! I have got to visit Utah. The hike thing; I used to hike miles each day as a surveyor working on large projects. At my age now, and with my back and knees, I have to really pace myself. Your hikes would be considered a hike for me now. So call it what it is, and ignore the negativity. Enjoy both channels.
I meant to ask a question as well; It appears there is little to no vandalism of the delicate formations. Do you see that on-site? I hope it's a reality!
I have not seen any vandalism myself but I’m sure it’s happened. It’s a actually a federal offense and you will be arrested and charged if cause defacing or vandalizing any rocks or formations inside a national park. Fortunately I think most of the places that may happen would only be in locations closest to the busy areas, and I can assure if someone saw you you’d be instantly reported. I’m sure the long backcountry hikers are all there for the same thing, beauty, solitude, and being out in nature. I doubt those types of folks would ever cause harm to the formations.
Don't let the negative comments bother you. You should just completely ignore them. You are doing great having a good time and making excellent videos.
I’ve been watching your channel for a couple of weeks now. I really do enjoy your videos, especially your hikes. You don’t have to explain or apologize for any of it. You guys are great. You’re having fun; some great adventures; and exposing a lot of folks who haven’t been to these places. Keep moving, guys.
Just ignore the dingbats, doombrains and carpers; it's a joy to watch your videos of beautiful places I'm never likely to be able to visit in person. Thank you.
A &A; great hike today! This has continued to get better every day in Utah. People say you aren’t hiking? Well, back in the day I could do 3 or morel days uphill with a backpack. Cannot do that today to my sorrow. You two are doing just fine. I enjoy your hikes and question or I could do the stuff your doing today. Ignore the criticism! Your both active and doing just fine!
That is so amazing. Would love to see it in person some day. Thank you for sharing your hikes and the beautiful scenery. Keep up the great work and again, thank you for taking the time and trouble to share with us.
According to the definition of a hike by the Boy Scout Handbook, a hike is a walk with a purpose. Since you are taking in the sights and are having fun, that is a purpose so I think that is a valid "hike". Nuff said. It is amazing how the rocks have worn and weathered to form the shapes they have including the arches. I agree with your question as to how long those rocks have been there. An interesting question.
Adam/Abbi just enjoy yourselves and forget the couchies who have nothing better to do I live in the UK and walking hiking or whatever you want to call it is done to get ourselves outside and see what the world has to offer Great vids and good luck to the pair of you Pete from gloucestershire which is a beautiful part of the UK
These views are incredible. normally on camera nothing looks as spectacular or huge scale as in real life but somehow this looks massive, can't believe what that would be like to see in person. Nothing I've ever seen with my own eyes before that's for sure
Last year my sister and brother-in-law did what you're doing and said the same thing about people hiking trails without being prepared with water and hiking shoes. And, I've been sharing your videos with them... thanks again...
Adam and Abby I have been watching your videos since you first started and you do a heck of a good job on both of your channels. Your Dad,Mom and Grandpa did a great job teaching you to be a great person!
Adam and Abby, I love that you are taking us along with you on your adventures. Words are in adequate to describe the joy you have brought me by sharing the beauty of God’s world through your eyes, camera and words. I got hooked watching your machining videos and now watch your Adventures channel too. Keep on doing what you guys do and enjoy every day with each other. Thank you!
Dear Abby and Adam, you guys have inspired, motivated and lifted my spirits. I am in Australia, in Melbourne and have been Covid locked down since July. Cannot travel further than 5kms, can only go out for 2 hours a day, need a permit to leave your house for work, police helicopters flying around and risk $1,600 to $5,000 fines. Total loss of liberty, health and mental wellbeing. During this time, I have started to cook with charcoal for the first time on a little Weber go anywhere, you have inspired this, and I can do some virtual travel with you both when we watch your videos at home in Melbourne, Australia time with a morning coffee. Keep up the great work guys, love you both. Cheers mates, Liz
I certainly wouldn't give those people criticizing you one second of your time. Of course its hiking and I for one find your journey interesting. My husband and I are planning a trip out there and at my age if I want to call it hiking, its hiking. So Keep hiking!!!
It absolutely is hiking. Good for you for getting out there and enjoying nature! Everyone has a different level of “hard”, but that doesn’t mean it is less difficult than someone else’s level of hard.
Walking, Hiking its exercise !!! and we can hear you are working on camera with you breathing , working your hearts, that’s great Adam Abby you are doing fantastic job guys . My wife and I love your videos which we stream and watch on our TV. Thank you for making our days with your lovely videos .🥰👏👏👏👏👍🇬🇧🍺🍺 PS. Ignore the Trolls,
Be proud of yourselves, you have both improved greatly on your hikes it's never to late to late to improve your fitness. Love your post's best regards Dave 👍
I have change my travel plans for 2021 I going to Arches National Park. You guys are great you make me feel like l’m there, because you guys are for real 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Ya know what?...screw the critics! You guys display a curiosity and a joy that just cannot be faked. You will have noticed many visitors never leave their cars. They might just as well watch a movie. Having lived and worked in that area for 40+ years I get to see it again through a newcomer's eyes and that is a wonderful thing. Thanks...
What yall do is considered a hike! A hike is a part of a walk! Walk is pretty much like a title. Kinda hard to explain but when you hike you walk. Hike is just a type of walking. Keep doing yalls awesome hikes so us viewers could enjoy them!
Because of you I get to enjoy a vacation that I was going to take but couldn't do to health reasons. Been flat on my back since July just now showing signs of recovery. So thank you for the videos I look forward to them every day.
There is so much to see. You are doing great with the hikes. You need to keep in mind that you are conditioned to Pensacola at sea level and you are now a about 7000 feet. Huge difference.
Shane on those people who made the negative comment about you not hiking, just walking - that is on them. Ignore those folks. Ya are doing great and this was very informative to help me plan my hike with my older parents. I think this was a very authentic video that shows your excitement and enjoyment of nature. Keep on, keep on! I call this hiking.
Hi I am enjoying your video's thankyou for sharing, I noticed your comment about the people criticising you about your hiking skills, well if you walk from one point to another point, that's called hiking, doesn't matter if you walk or run, if you do it under your own steam that is traveling or hiking. If you enjoy yourselves that's all that matters and to hell with anybody that are feeble minded and criticises you. Have fun to the fullest, life is to short. Keep it up, your follower and friend Steve. 👍😎👌
Novice, intermediate, expert, extreme, these are labels that apply to the level of hiking ... never have I heard you misapply a label to what you are out doing...the focus is you are out doing...that is what matters! Thank you again for sharing and thanks for the PSA...to many folks end up taking EMS resources because they don’t properly prepare, including hydration!
Yep, definitely different levels of the hikes. We’re not exactly into the extreme hikes but we did like to push ourselves harder then what are comfort level is.
The more I consume these videos, the more I love you guys (not in a creepy way) You two are some of the most decent , real human beings. Your personalities are infectious. I hope to have the opportunity one day to meet you both (in a COVID FREE WORLD) and buy you both a beer. If you ever pass through the St. Louis Mo. area, I'm just across the river in Illinois. I've got plenty of room for you to park your rig and spend some time venturing out to see the sites in this region. You'd be more than welcome! Keep the videos rolling!
Thank you for the inspirational hike! We enjoy your adventures, especially as we are of the over 65 crowd. Pay no attention to the trolls! Unhappy people want to drag others down to their level. Keep it up!
I really have come to love your channel. I live in Cedar City (Enoch), Utah and I love the South. When you get the chance, you can come up to the West and visit Bryce Canyon NP, Kolob NP, and Zion NP. You can even stay at our house to resupply.
Hi guys! I'm so excited you took the primitive trail! It definitely gives a different view and is so less crowded. We actually climbed up and hung out in the South Window, which you can only get to from that trail. I loved seeing how this area looked with the sun coming up through the windows. (We went in the afternoon) so much beauty no matter what time of day you go! As far as hiking... I definitely considered that a hike. If there's no concrete, you are hiking! If it's a path out of your normal element, then you are most definitely hiking! You guys rock!
Don't let the "hiking snobs" change who you are. My wife and I love to watch your videos. Keep calling it hiking, ignore the people that want to suck the joy out of someone to make themselves feel superior.
It's the pleasure you get from it that counts, enjoy your hike "A hike is walking isn't it?" I enjoy seeing that you are enjoying what you do + anyone can be an "armchair" critic can they not??
So, I just saw a meme quoting John Muir today that said he preferred the term "saunter" over hike. It was almost a religious thing. Being a full sized adult man like your self I am not about to go on an 8 mile hike either, but I might saunter around in the wilderness for a while. I really have enjoyed your videos. Abbeys pretty cool too.
Love this! You guys are inspiring! The haters are obviously not out doing what you are doing...so... whatever...you are "rocking" it!I looked up the difference between walk and hike..."A significant difference between hiking and walking terrains would be that hiking is usually on natural rougher paths and walking is done on worn or constructed paths. Walking paths are typically concrete, gravel, asphalt, and sand. ... It's common to cross a creek during a hike while casual walk would have a bridge." So, I agree with what my Richard (Prescott )said in his comment! 😁😉🙂❤
I think you guys are fantastic. You remind me of me and my girlfriend, hiking, drinking beer, Grilling, RVing, smoking meats and just plain enjoying life. 👍🍺
Haters are always gonna hate. I blame their parents, for favoring their better looking and more intelligent siblings, when they were young. They crave attention. Thanks for bringing us along, best relaxing content on youtube right now.
Wow, you can't help but love those rock formations. I had a really good laugh at 15:03..ish when you can around that bend and that one rock formation looked like someone bent over mooning everyone 🤣. As for those negative commentators...or should I say armchair warriors, ignore them considering they are just jealous that they arent the one(s) doing the trip and sharing it. The other 99.9% of your fans love what you share. I personally gotta hand it to both of you for putting yourselves out there on social media and the internet. I couldn't do it myself, I prefer to stay behind the scenes (Emperor Palpatine style) and lets other take the spot light 😁. Thanks again for sharing your adventures with us all. PS: yes I am a Star Wars nerd LOL.
Don't pay any attention to the ""Yea Whos,"" that can't say anything nice. Do let negative people ruin your day. You are sharing your adventures with the rest of us. So let's enjoy the ride
Hoping that the person was kind of doing a tongue in cheek on the hiking. My wife's cousin is a retired forest ranger, he STILL does 20 and 30 mile plus backpacking adventures with his wife and others. He is also a guide. He will literally go out for 7 to 10 days with a backpack and food (and hunt/fish for food). He told me one day "I've been doing this for 50 odd years, NOBODY will EVER just 'do hiking', EVERYBODY has to start somewhere. Hiking is difficult, it is strenuous, and everybody starts by just going for a walk, nobody ever says one day 'I'm going to go hike Glacier National Park' and do it...they might try, but we're usually going looking for them within a day because they are way over their heads". You're doing it right and honestly? You're getting more exercise than me...Keep it up!!!
It's sad that others need to stroke their superiority complex to be happy. You guys are out there having fun. I don't think it's relevant how strenuous your "hikes" are or aren't. I don't know if it's intentional or not, but Adam you seem to have gotten healthier and lost weight over time. If it was intentional, you've done a fantastic job and you should be very proud. :) I envy you 2 as a couple. I hope when I'm your age, I have someone I love who will go on hikes and walks with me like this. :)
Oh this trolls, Peoplelike us who are a little bigger have the more reason to try to enjoy outdoor life. It does not incurrent anybody to have some jerks commenting that. And the "hikes" you are doing are perfekt for you, dont try to overdo it! We like you helthy and exploring outdoor not in a hospital bed. But you are the best to tell what you can and can´t do. I love to see what this vakation have done to you Adam, before you went on your trip you looked really stressed and tyred, But look at you now.... Smiling along. I am sure you are gonna find a new spiriy in working after this. Abby allso looks great but i have never seen her without that lovely smile on her face so it´s hard to see the same differens there. I love the fact that you like the same not so crowded nature experience that i do.
Just call it like you want, hiking walking crawling what ever just enjoy it and feel good about what you’re doing. Don’t listen too the ahole, I love your videos
Adam I love the videos but I have just one thing to say. IGNORE THE HATERS. Being a muscle physiologist (cardiac mostly) anything that gets the heart rate and breathing up is great. Do what you can and just keep trying to do a little more each time. Most importantly have fun doing and if you feel like it share the videos with us. Do this for yourselves and not the idiots on YT.
Dude don't worry about what they say all they are a douches and trolls. You handled that well my response to someone like that would have be waaay different lol. Keep doing what you guys love and I am enjoying all the vids.
I think these two amazing people have been quite tolerant of the negative, opinionated, condescending (##$!;+;") Commenters on this channel. They are entitled to vent, after all they created this channel.
Joey, us replying to the troll comments occasionally is a great way to express our opinions, and to share them with everyone at once, not just on a single comment. I ignore most of them but sometimes it’s something we just gotta speak our mind about, but we do that and stride 😎
Merriam-Webster defines a hike as "a long walk especially for pleasure or exercise". That describes what you guys are doing precisely. Take that jealous trolls.
LOL)
You keep on "hiking" and enjoy yourself. I wish I was with you.
Adam & Abby thank you for sharing your adventures! Thanks again! Oh and for all the negative people go take a hike!
Adam & Abby, no need to apologize about your hiking. You are out there and sharing your visits to wonderful places. That is a lot more than other people are doing. Besides, walking is great exercise and being outdoors is a blessing. Thanks for sharing and continue to enjoy yourselves!

When you're from Florida anything above sea level is a "hike". Great video we missed this trail while we were there.
Got that right!
My dear friends, I used to "hike" For a week camping searching for water, etc. Now the three yards between my bed and my wheelchair is the hardest "Hike" I've ever know, So don't take offence Adam, & Abbey, Enjoy your great vacation and continue sharing those great views with us

Thanks for sharing Adam and Abby. Stunning landscape. From Covid Ireland.
How special is that being in that place at sunrise!

Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and keep on "hiking on"!
Hi adventurers! I’m having fun “hiking” with you guys! Awesome views can’t wait to get there myself👍

Happy Hiking. Thanks for sharing and have fun. Cheers.

Being a full sized adult man like your self I am not about to go on an 8 mile hike either, but I might saunter around in the wilderness for a while. I really have enjoyed your videos. Abbeys pretty cool too.
I just found your youtube channel and have subscribed....thanks for your honesty and for sharing....keep shining your light....Merry Christmas
Walking paths are typically concrete, gravel, asphalt, and sand. ... It's common to cross a creek during a hike while casual walk would have a bridge."
So, I agree with what my Richard (Prescott )said in his comment! 😁😉🙂❤
Nice!! Great hike.... :-)
Beautiful! I have to go to this place, but I have to be prepared to never leave. Thanks again for the little video vacation :)
The best part of having haters is knowing that they are paying attention to you.
Keep up all of your great videos, we really enjoy watching.
You are DEFINITELY hiking here. Forget any negative comments and just look at the LIKES. Love the picture montage at the end of the videos. 👍🏻👍🏻
Adam, you're at the point where you need to stop reading comments on here. Keep doing what makes yall happy.
Don't pay any attention to the ""Yea Whos,"" that can't say anything nice. Do let negative people ruin your day. You are sharing your adventures with the rest of us. So let's enjoy the ride
not laughing at you, just jealous. beautiful scenery
hike noun
Definition of hike (Entry 2 of 2)
1: a long walk especially for pleasure or exercise
A hike is an adventure. A walk is different.
That’s what this channel is all about, just sharing what we enjoy and have fun doing it 👍🏻
Dude don't worry about what they say all they are a douches and trolls. You handled that well my response to someone like that would have be waaay different lol. Keep doing what you guys love and I am enjoying all the vids.
can you image this was formed by water a sea was there xxxx years ago
Enjoy your hike-walks and don't let anyone bring you down! It's not a damn contest.
Again, Wow!!.... :-)
My friend in Norway calls those people Trolls- I say just try to ignore them and PRESS ON ! !
Not trying to be critical at all, but wouldn't it be best to just Ignore those negative comments? Love the Utah scenery - great pics.
I think these two amazing people have been quite tolerant of the negative, opinionated, condescending (##$!;+;") Commenters on this channel. They are entitled to vent, after all they created this channel.
@@timphelps3568 I agree, my comment was along the lines of "don't feed the trolls".
@@joeylawn36111 we agree 😊👍
Joey, us replying to the troll comments occasionally is a great way to express our opinions, and to share them with everyone at once, not just on a single comment. I ignore most of them but sometimes it’s something we just gotta speak our mind about, but we do that and stride 😎
@@AbomAdventures I understand. Love your channels. Great views of Utah - Wow!
Impossible to please everyone, hike and enjoy. )
And the people wining about you calling it a hike are sitting on there coach watching. Keep on keeping on
Amazing.... :-)
Merriam-Webster defines a hike as "a long walk especially for pleasure or exercise". That describes what you guys are doing precisely. Take that jealous trolls.
yep, Wow
