I think the UA-cam algorithm brought me here since I recently ran the Moab 240 ultra. It was so fun reminiscing about some of the miles I covered during that race, but you showed a couple places I haven’t been so thanks for the video. Moab is a special place!
Absolutely gorgeous episode my friend! You nailed it 🔥🔥
Thank you so much! 🫶
Moab is definitely on my list! Great video and views!!!!❤
Great video, one of your best! Thank you, as always for providing inspiration, and for bringing us along with you.
What an awesome adventure! Love it!
Wow just wow 😊
Hello from Ouray, Colorado! Thank you very much for sharing your adventures in Moab! What an incredible place! My running days are over due to my military times. But, I still walk and hike a lot (with my dog tagging along). I will plan to go check out some of your areas there! When you’re in Moab, and looking to the east at the snow capped La Sal Mountains, I have some land on the east side of there in the Paradox Valley, by Paradox, CO. I love it over there; it has like 75% of what the Moab backcountry has and 5% of the people.
I know what you are saying about the desert being really special there! Joshua Tree National Park is my favorite park. I can’t really explain it as there are some much more majestic, mountainy kind of places out there. I just write it off as having massive vistas, not over run in popularity, and then it offers a spiritual feeling; kind of like the ancient Joshua Trees offering the answers of life like a village elder.
Safe travels!
PS. Holy smokes….a backcountry espresso maker. Whoooaaaaaa!
whoa I'm also in Ouray! There's not too many of us, what a fun small world thing
@sarahataltitude well helloooo neighbor!! I have met several youtube rv'ers here, but never a local!
Yes...have been here almost 8 years now. Most people know me as the guy that walks Remy, the long hair German Shepherd; he's my walking and hiking buddy (not as much this last month as we seem to be stuck in a perpetual mud season......and my house isn't set up for inside dog baths every day). Don't hesitate to reach out with a hello. I am usually between town and the KOA campground, on County Rd 17, in the afternoons, knocking out my daily steps.
Love this ❤
Looks like a fun adventure and a cool place to run.
Beautiful 🤩 thanks for sharing Steph. I would like to run in MOAB one day.
Thanks for bringing is along on this beautiful trail trip, Steph!
Thank YOU for watching!!
very nice video. did not know portable espresso machines exist, i feel better about the future. you should do all the geographic rims- grand canyon, tahoe rim, etc.
I was hoping you'd see the OutIn Nano ad!! You should definitely check it out. Also the geographic rims... that's one heck of an idea I'd love to indulge in lol
Utah seems so cool .I imagine me NOT running though Lol
Good stuff, LOVE Moab...make a couple of trips a year as well.
Love the Utah area!!!❤
thank you youtube algorithm for bringing me here
Thanks for sharing and amazing scenery in this video😁🙏
Thank you for watching!!
Man that was sick!
Thank you! ☺
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you! ☺
I was there the same time you were! All the way through Thanksgiving. It got pretty cold!
No way! That time was so beautiful, but that last day I was there I could tell it was getting cold. So jealous you were able to enjoy Moab for that long!! Hope it was rad!
Great adventure! Btw I used your janji code for a new winter haul. Thanks for discount
Thank you! and thank YOU! I hope you enjoy your haul- their new winter apparel is too good.
Did you size up in the janji atlas pants or stick with your usual size? I think I need those haha
Can you talk about how you keep your knees in check? I tried running but every time I run my knees just stop working the next day. Always have to rest for a few days.
I'm so sorry to hear that! Back when I first started running I had some knee pain which kind of resolved on it's own (maybe it's because I was young lol), but often times knee pain can be a sign of a variety of things: weak muscles/over compensation, running gait/form, IT band issues, or even just doing too much at once. This past summer I had some knee pain very briefly following my 100K, which I knew was from weak quads. I'd check in with a PT/physio and get their thoughts and advice, and also consider some strength training/knee-hab to keep yourself healthy. Wishing you the best of luck
Very nice! My family and I visited arches this year before I ran the Desert Rats 50k. I’d really like to visit Moab and do a race there as well.
You absolutely should! If you're interested, you should check out some of the Mad Moose events- they have a variety of races with various distances that allow you to cover some parts of Moab you might not normally. The sign up fees are a little pricy (in my opinion), but the experience is epic!! Hope you get back out there at some point!
@ thank you!
